Courageous and happy little girl. ❤ I went to school for disabled children and saw many children with brittle bones and they never complained about anything and were always happy.
I always hate seeing stories like this because I feel so bad for these children who have to endure this kind of life. :( My heart just goes out to them because I can't even imagine the pain and hurdles they have to deal with that other people take for granted or don't even think about... and yet, these kids get through it and seem to be in positive spirits despite everything. truly amazing.
EmoNinjaVampireWolf also know that I totally agree with u but maybe they don’t want sympathy maybe they wanna live a perfect life and be themselves but I do feel bad sometimes for these kids
I remember Jodi Picoult wrote a book about this condition, "Handle with care". I really admire the parents for their strength and perseverance. Zoe is a gem 💎

Kal I completely see what you mean and how it could definitely be construed as patronising in general, but in this case she’s cute bc she’s a happy adorable 5 year old, kids just are cute, but you actually made a v valid good point there
Too bad her parents weren't good people to begin with. Then they would've terminated the pregnancy so she wouldn't have to suffer through such a painful condition.
Quatro Quatro other than her bone pain she's a happy and healthy young 6 year old who loves life however I understand why you feel that way. Because personally if I found out that I carried my genes on (I have what Zoe has) i wouldn't continue.
My best friend who has cerebral palsy and uses a wheelchair has taught so many people that handicapped people are just the same as everyone else. Never forget that.
CP isn't the same as this. My Dad has CP. He didn't break all of his bones before being born. "Handicapped" is an offensive term. Please look up the history before using it to speak for your best friend.
I can see why. Seeing people say things like that goes to show that there are people all over the world, from different religions, cultures, and backgrounds that can agree on one thing: This child doesn’t deserve the condition she has and is an absolute trooper for pushing through it all.
As someone who has broken 40+ bones (I have a rare bone condition as well), I've found that I've grown a sort of pain tolerance to the point where there have been times where I've broken a bone and not even recognize that something is wrong until one of my parents point out that they've noticed me walking funny or something different in general. So while the idea of asking her if it hurt seems odd, that tolerance can build to where she doesn't "process" the pain as another would.
I have broken probably about every bone in my body because of OI..... and ummmm. ..... it's hard and the pain IS really bad but I remember what it was like to be 6 and 7 and seeing other children playing at the park and not being able to because one trip or running into something to hard could go from 1-100 in a fracture of a second. Now that I'm 17 and watching this video realizing that I could have been terminated and donated to scientist instead of living with my family and older sisters, it's unimaginable. I have no Idea what I would or even could have done without them. The fact the you made the same desicion with her and did not "kill" her not only makes me very happy and emotional but everyone watching this video. Thank you and god bless you

@@kandie3127 Yes, I agree with you and I hope that is only a small number for this life because the child is the crystallization of couple love - a gift from God.
Can we just admire how beautiful this little girl is? I love how the mom fought to have her baby and how she takes care of her daughter is just so beautiful and wholesome.
Kids are resilient in general.... But this child is AWESOME.... The parents might be having a stressful life but the little angel is worth each moment..... GOD BLESS
First of all, let me say she is such a beautiful girl and my heart breaks thinking about what she goes through on a daily basis. It just goes to show that life isn’t always fair and bad things do happen to innocent children and people in general. This is such a tough one. On one side of the coin I agree that it was selfish for the parents to go through with the pregnancy after being told and KNOWING she was going to be in pain and constantly suffer her entire life and putting her through it just because they wanted a baby. But on the other side of the coin, that adorable little girl deserves a chance at life just like the rest of us. I just really really hope she doesn’t always feel pain, and judging by her smile, it’s clear that she is a very happy little girl and is surrounded by love. My heart goes out to her and her family and I hope eventually we find a cure or at the very least, a way to take away her suffering. ❤️😔
I don't think it was selfish for the parents to not terminate the pregnancy. It sounds like that was suggested when the doctors thought she had type II OI which is lethal...most babies die within weeks of delivery. In that case, abortion would be recommended. But type III OI has a much higher chance of survival and if she could have a shot at a normal life, isn't it worth it if the parents are willing?
I hardly think murder is a better option. When that girl is old enough you can ask her if her mom was selfish by not ending her life before she was born. I can imagine she'd choose her life even though she knows what she has to go through. But I do hope they find a cure to help her.
She isn't getting a chance at life though she's not getting whatever when Else gets it's not fair she's just suffering and she's going to not be able to live a full life
I'm a 13 year old girl with OI. I can't stand and I haven't had my surgery yet. I think I also have type three but the doctors haven't told us which type it is. By the way, I don't really like when people say "I'm so sorry". Don't say "you must be going through so much pain", instead say "you can do it! You know it!". Yep, I choose to be optimistic. Edit: I don't know why but the comments of this video are making me feel... not really good... Not talking about the replies to this comment though. Thank you so much, everyone, for all the positive comments and prayers! Edit 2: Seriously, I thought I mentioned about the comments on abortion. Guess I didn't. The comments calling the parents who don't abort selfish are making me feel kinda angry. Please, DON'T. Let me tell you I'm totally happy with my life. Yeah, who likes pain. But everyone suffers in life. Mentally, physically, or both. At a young age or when they're older. There's absolutely no one who's suffered. Me, and the girl in this video, are someone who've been suffering from physical pain often since birth. It gets less later buut... The point is I'm happy and she seems happy too. Despite of the physical pain. As for the parents being selfish... Eh, it's actually loads more work raising such a child. I'd rather say it's unconditional love. Sometimes I'm the one who feels the "selfish" one. Because I give so much pain to my mother. Can't explain. Having very fragile bones, I need to be handled very carefully. Specially when I have a fracture. And only my mom truly knows how to handle me properly. So, when I have fracture (which I had very frequently when younger), my mother is the one who is troubled the most. And there are a lot of medical finances which falls on my father. That's just NOT selfish. Please. If I feel sad about anything, it's this. It's not about me suffering, it's about making my parents stress. Because I'm dependent on them. My dreams include becoming independent and doing something for them. Please, do not call them selfish. In my opinion, not giving the fetus's life a chance just because it's gonna suffer from physical pain, and end it, is not worth it. I understand your concern of an innocent child suffering, but really, there are worse scenarios. Like child abuse. What matters is that we're getting unconditional love and we're HAPPY. My dreams include helping those children(also adults) who are not happy because of some horrible thing/things which might have happened to them.

4:51 this breaks my heart. No parent should have to feel scared of damaging their child by holding them, and no child should have to regularly tell someone that they just broke.

Her parents are literal trash. The mom says at the end of the video that if she could take this very painful sounding disease away from her own child she WOULDN’T. And, like, i get the context, the kid is amazing, but i would rather have a healthy brat than an angel of a child that’s always one step away from extreme pain, but apparently that’s just me

„does it hurt when you brake a bone?“
what kind of question is that? its like asking a corpse „are you dead?“

Now that I'm 17 and watching this video realizing that I could have been terminated and donated to scientist instead of living with my family and older sisters, it's unimaginable. I have no Idea what I would or even could have done without them.
1 like is one pray
I hardly think murder is a better option. When that girl is old enough you can ask her if her mom was selfish by not ending her life before she was born. I can imagine she'd choose her life even though she knows what she has to go through. But I do hope they find a cure to help her.
Wat a lovely man cael harden
What is OI?
