BETWEEN them, the Lamoreaux-Ferrerio family have broken over 600 bones. Mum Lisa, dad Chris and daughter Anicee all suffer from a genetic condition called Osteogenesis Imperfecta or OI, which causes their bones to be so brittle, simply sneezing or going over a bump in the road is enough to break them. There is no known cure for OI, and those living with it experience pain on a daily basis, but in spite of their condition, mum Lisa says in many ways they are just like any other family.

It's refreshing to see someone with a disability admit that they sometimes wish they'd been born "normal". You can tell Anicee loves herself and is positive about her OI, but she's a person too and insecurities about the "what ifs" happen the same as it does with the rest of us. She's such a great woman.
I think most of us do wish that. But don't dare mention it because non-disabled will get all up in our face about "how dare you say something like that! you're perfect! you're not disabled! that's a bad word! don't be so depressed! it's not that much better!" ohhh it IS that much better.

Anicee made me smile. When she wished she could walk but then said she’s happy with who she is. She’s amazing. Makes you realize you need to be more grateful for the little things. Loooooved this.
Miss Mallory I have cystic fibrosis and l looking at her makes me feel so grateful I'm as healthy as I am and have the ability to walk (I was in a wheelchair for 4 mos) she's amazing and makes people like me realize we don't have it bad at all

Awww she was waiting with her bags packed? That’s so sweet... and her art is all over the house! I love that! That’s a sign of real pride and adoration. And when the mom cried and was so proud of the daughter creating a painting that was sold at the children’s hospital gala/auction for $50k, and then having someone pay another $50k to commission another painting by her, that was so touching. You can tell how much they love their daughter. What an adorable family. Their daughter is so lucky to have them.
She basically donated 100k to the hospital with her beautiful artwork. What a feat!

I know what your going through ! I have Osteogenesis Imperfecta not as severe as y'all. I wanted to adopt a child with OI , but my breaks started getting more frequently so we decided not to when I had to go to bed rest for broken hips . I'm so happy you got to achieve your dream of adoption. You are inspiring to others out there.

Damn girl I love that wheelchair. When you were in the store and lives you up so you can get things off the shelf. Many many many moons ago I was in a wheelchair from his three years I was in a head-on collision and I'll tell you that would have came in handy.
