Stihl FS86 Strimmer / Trimmer - Will not START Will not RUN - Walbro Carburetor Rebuild (Carb Kit)

- Picked up this petrol Stihl FS86 Strimmer maybe one or two years ago from a rental company as a spares or repairs project. The Stihl FS86 will not start / will not run. The rental company suggested it was a carburetor issue, and that rebuild of the walbro carburetor would get this Stihl FS86 back up and running again.
Can we get this Petrol Stihl FS86 Strimmer / Trimmer working again? Could it be something cheap and simple like cheap stihl carb kit and a walbro carburetor rebuild?

Great video. My dad just handed me one of these and said "its great if you can get it started" So far the spark plug didn't spark so now off to get a new one. Considering a carb refurbish regardless just because of how old it is.
I am thinking of getting my grandfather fs 86 going looking forward to it

Interesting, I have same FS86 machine but with U shaped handle & control on right side. Might be different spec for down here in Oz.
I’ve got exactly the same problem so I will take it to bits and work out from you brilliant video what it could be. Got a feeling it could be the ignition coil. As the machine is old finding it really difficult to find one online any ideas or compatible ignition coil that would work. Great vid keep up the good work
Thanks - This is an old machine, I am not aware of any other coil packs which would work - best to stick to original parts but are hard to come across - could be the pickups need a clean or a new plug or the ground wire from the coil is grounding out somewhere

Good spot - normally fly out when using the air compressor on them
@@FIXitBUILDitGARAGE You know, the same thing happen to me! Ha ha. I saw it take off, but it landed right in front of me. I was a little worried that there was something under it. But I don't think there was,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
