Great music. As a 97 year old youngster, I remember going to the IMA auditorium in Flint, Michigan every Saturday night
To dance to the music of one of the great big bands. Good memories.

I was once a technician in radio broadcasting and worked many name band remotes in the ‘40s and ‘50s. I had tape recordings made after our station acquired a Magnecorder, but I used the same tape over and over as the cost was $5 at a time I was making $1.25 an hour. So what I ended up with was the last broadcast I did; Ralph Flanagan in December 1950. I now wish I was not so tight with money.

So beautiful. My dear daddy was a big band musician, he played lead Alto sax with Clyde McCoy and sat in with other greats such as Les Brown and his band of reknowned. I was raised with awesome music like this. I am 62 but love the 1940's music, styles, and movies. They still sound (and look) good today.

This is just wonderful. I did not think I would like it, as I am a purist, only liking the original big band recordings, never any modern reproductions. They always sounded inferior to me. But, somehow, this is great! Excellent musicians, and an imaginative arrangement. Well done, everyone!

So sorry Mr. Hi Brow. My thought was that an orchestra which had headlined numerous BBC Proms and had richly and beautifully played Broadway, the great movie scores, light opera, Gershwin, POP and numerous other venues was worth complimenting. I shall slink back into my unreal world and not bother you again.
