I love the James Bond themes. They have that element of danger combined with that jazzy swagger and a touch of exotic romance. So iconic and enduring.

Live and let Die starts off like a Beatles classic and ends like a little of the closing pf MacArthur Park ....cake in the rain !! The conductor is having a blast!!

I've heard a lot of medleys and suites of James Bond in TH-cam and this is easily the best arrangement I've ever heard. Astonishing. The director really had fun with this arrangement.

The intro to the "Live and Let Die" theme was really great in particular. McCartney and his wife did a great job when they wrote it and this arrangement is unique and superb.

Guitar riff was the original sound for all Bond movies. The artist was paid £250 in 1962 and was told to be happy.
His name: Vic Flic (sp?) He tried to pawn the very guitar used in Dr. No on an episode of Rick Harrison's "PAWN STARS!" Believe it, or not!

The arrangement of the whole piece was brilliant. The balance and alternating between trumpet and trombone was very pleasant and the percussion section was delicate and skilled. Thanks for a great video. 😊😊😊😊

Exzellentes Medley, geschmackvolle Arrangements, die die ursprünglichen Harmonien respektieren, und schließlich, aber überhaupt nicht offensichtlich oder noch weniger wichtig (vor allem heutzutage), eine hervorragende Klangqualität mit einer sehr guten tonalen Balance und nicht zuletzt einem exzellenten Dynamik des gesamten Orchesters, die in einer Zeit, in der Aufnahmen auf schreckliche Weise brutal komprimiert werden, jetzt extrem und immer seltener wird;

Ha ha. Monty Norman composed the James Bond theme and is now 93. Did you see him there? John Barry composed the music for eleven further James Bond Films but he died in 2011 so he may have been there in spirit:-)

In both Medleys, I like most the instruments chosen to carry the main themes! Kudos to the arranger(s)!
The various James Bond themes in the earlier movies were great. Most were identifiable at once and many always paid homage to the first and most iconic Bond themes in some way.
Monty Norman composed the original score but John Barry brought it to life with his orchestration using copious amounts of brass, woodwinds, strings, percussion, and that twangy guitar.

John Barry is magnificent. How did he come up with this wonderful theme. James Bond films will not be as good without this theme.
