I always tip. Sometimes I just wonder if it is enough
@@kenley2945in florida spacecoast doordash base pay is $2
I’m so hoping we get Solo in 2024!!
You drive in the Tampa/Brandon area?
Yes Brandon area
I find it unbelivable that so many no tip order are hand it to me. If I didn't tip, I would not want the driver to see me.
Big facts 😅
Even if they did, I'm sure there would be an issue with how much.
😂 some people have no shame 😅
Some people have no shame! 🙄😒
Yes! I couldn’t agree more. I was just saying this…
I did the streak thing one day and got low ball orders with no tips and got bad ratings. None tippers = higher chances of bad ratings
Guys be nice in the comments to her. She seems like such sweet girl. She doesn’t deserve to be treated that way
❤
I started dashing for extra exercise. I donate my earnings to my local shelter. I feel like delivery drivers definitely deserve the tip. It's a lot of work.
I started dashing two weeks ago, I was amazed at how many people didn’t tip
The hot bag placed on the seat is for tipping customer. The floor mat with no hot bag is for non-tipping customers.
I save the floor mat for two liters of Pizza Hut non tippers
Depending on the “per time” pay is in your market, you should definitely select that option if you’re accepting every order. In my market, the pay is $17 per hour. I’ve found that you end up making about the same per hour doing either option, but the advantage of “per time,” is that it keep your acceptance rate up as you pretty much accept every order.
I ask for the cup to fill first and explain they are messing with my timing stats before I hit confirm and I never get pushback from it. I show them the screen to see that is the right order then come back after filling then confirm. They are not our bosses and I’m not about to let them think they are.
Now I've seen first hand what the streak is all about. They can keep the $8.00 and do whatever they want with it and exploit other Dashers. I'd rather lose $8.00 on this so-called streak challenge than to lose my dignity over trash orders. Sara Elizabeth, I know you were doing the viewers a favor, but don't stoop yourself that low. You are better than that.
My thoughts exactly. They can keep the $8. I can exceed that in a shorter amount of time by being a bit more selective.
So in 4 hours you made $43 and put 36 miles on your car. That is probably about the same as the $7.25 federal minumum wage. It definitely makes more sense to mulit app and reject trash orders.
Brandon Florida had a minimum wage of 12$ a hour, therefore, she would not make Florida minimum wage at that rate.
It appears all restaurant workers nationwide have communicated amongst themselves and agreed to say "We're still working on it!"
You: I accepted every order on DoorDash. Me: My sincere apologies that people voted for you to do that. 😉
Yesterday, Sundays are really fricken good for Shipt. Worked 4 hours and made $163.
I really enjoy your videos. If I go to pick up and I don’t feel like making drinks, I refuse the delivery. I specifically don’t like waiting more than 3 min. BC is supposed to be ready for pick up.
There isn't nothing to gain financially taking every order. Why would anybody want to see you struggle is beyond me.
I love taking every order videos!! Then to see a dasher who doesn’t normally take low offers. Take all of them is great content.
There's nothing to gain period doordash is dead
@@billybongthornton4285 says someone watching doordash videos lol
I would recommend people outside of TH-cam not. do this, but it is good content if you have a TH-cam channel and whatever money she’s losing doing the challenge makes up for in ad revenue
I think this is one of the most useful videos I have seen. It helps me understand my single app delivery is pretty much the same as yours. Sure put multi-apping in perspective. In the process of starting 2 more!
You should never get rude comments. Love your videos, keep up the good work!
Sara its so cute how you allow yourself to be a good person and do the right things for Doordash when the entire time Doordash is working against you not giving AF about paying you keep shining your light I guess ....
She’s showing the reality of what’s out here it’s the same thing here in CT . Thank you for sharing the truth and this is why we “ cherry pick “ it’s all a game even with the perfect report card on DD it’s low pay we actually pay to work .
She does it for the views and because doordash pays these people to try and make door dash sound good when in reality it sucks
@@Sigsag412 If u hate it so much then why take time out of your life that you can't get back to watch her videos? You could be doing anything else. She's a gigtuber and it's completely fine it's very normal that non traditional jobs are becoming more popular. If you don't like it you could go watch something else.
Great vid! I took every order for the first couple of months as it was hard to get on to dash at times. Once I got Top Dasher I am more selective but try to keep my accept rate up unless offer is ridiculous vs. miles.
This is why I preach that AR does not matter. I don’t care what these gig app companies try to do to add incentives or make different tiers. Everything is designed to get drivers to take those bad orders where you’re not even making 10 or $11 an hour gross. Always better to multi app and cherry pick and don’t worry about promotional tiers or acceptance rate you’ll come out ahead
FYI Sara Elizabeth. On an Android to make the Door Dash app stop making the constant notifcation sound and vibrating, just turn the volume up or down and it stops immediately. It's such a life saver cause that notification constant beeping gets on my nerves!
No Streak! No Streak! Not worth it!
Well said! Even if it makes it to my market, which is Los Angeles, I will not participate in it. Not worth losing my dignity over $8.00.
I had one of those streaks in my market here in Racine Wisconsin. It was 6 delivereries for 9 dollars. I was fortunate to get good orders though. I've heard some bad reviews from some dasher and other content creators. I think doordash should be ashamed of themselves by giving us 2 dollar orders. That should be illegal!
I’ve been doing doordash less lately because my zone includes a huge state university. The low tips plus having to deliver to clusters of dorms or apartments not conducive for navigation make me hate the area.
Reason I say that is because I haven’t yet seen this streak, the only thing DD does in my area is the typical bonus per delivery promos.
Grubhub does streaks a lot. GH seems to be better overall in my area for pay so I use that an UE most now.
Yes it sure should meantime these ppl are making millions creating these apps .
Earn by time sucks
the continuing sound/vibration after accepting an order drove us nuts our first 2 hours using door dash.
Lmao that look on your face said it all lmao 🤣 you’ll be ok
You took the hit for us but we already know 😂
If you become a top dasher it gets easier to accept every order and it's not really that bad. My acceptance rate is 96% and I'm a top dasher in my area and the most I've made in one day is $210 but that's in a 13 hour period 11am -12 am the next day and I only filled my tank up $20 dollar in that whole shift. If you keep pushing and don't think about it your make more money that way.
I just made $80 in 3.5 hrs because of my rate.
Can so relate becuz lately I'm not making anythinh.yesterday..over 2 hours 16$!! Is this China??or USA??? DD is terrible these days.thank goodness for uber rescue
Also you can start dashing 15 mins.before scheduled time
I count the whole time not the dashtime. If you start at 9am- end at 2pm , i count that which is 5 hours because youre out there and waiting.
You made $43 for 4 hours that $10 per hour u made
Facts!!!
Minus gas of course
Thanks for taking one for the team.
I never seen a delivery streak notification either, for every 10 orders I get, I'll probably accept 2
I gave up on delivering because it's just not worth it anymore. I'm not sure about your area but mine is so bad that I got a full time job. I can't just sit around waiting for orders. I have no control over the delivery business and I have bills to pay.
Girl I’m so sorry , but you sure keep positive vibe’s going 😊
$2 for 6 miles😮.. hell no lol😅. I feel you.. I go thru it alot to. I have to keep my sanity and decline alot until I get mile worthy driving. No tip.. no trip.
I love how they try to just show you your active time trying to make the pay look better 😅😋🙄 like i still know when i clocked in mr app.
Right?! 🤨
Curious about door dash but the one thing that really puts me off is waiting on orders, going to all these different places and relying on them to be ready for you. I can imagine that can be infuriating.
It is, especially when it is empty and they have not started on it until you arrive. It eats up time you could have been active.
Your video helps me a lot❤this is my 2nd day dashing my acceptance rate is 71% and doordash giving me good deal 4 delivery in 3 hrs without declining because good offer and tips😊 enjoy dashing everyone❤
61% AR here. Holding on to dear life to keep it above water.
Wow your acceptance rate is 58%? Mine is 10%
Hahaha. 🧢 you should see her AR from 3 months ago and beyond.
I'm at 88 & my wife is 91 but most orders we just ignore & don't look at 😂
@@grubnhubbynthedashndiva your AR still goes down even if you don't click decline
I have issues with making the drinks too. Especially, after I've waited 10mins then they hand you cups and tell you to make the Drinks to waste more of my time. The first time I was told to make drinks was at Firehouse Subs. I stated that isn't my job then the dude got really rude with me. So I left the order and called Dasher Support and informed them I wasn't taking the order because they wanted me to make the drinks and were very rude. They gave me half pay. :) Then this one pizza place "Your Pie" wanted me to make drinks and I told them if they didn't make the drinks I was leaving the order and they made the drinks. Of course they didn't like me at all at that point. Firehouse still won't make the drinks. It depends on the tip if I do it or not now. You can pretty much tell by distance if its a good tip. If there is no or a small tip I leave the order, Not doing my job and theirs as well.
Wingstop is notorious for making drivers fill up the customer's drinks. Worse if they force you to hit "Confirm" on the spot and THEN you got to stand in line and fill the customer's drinks, while your delivery time is being eaten up, causing the order to be delivered late. In short, I don't pickup any Wingstop orders, regardless of payout, because they are on my blackmail list.
@@JuanN64ProjectsHere in the 'burbs WS fills and seals and don't make you sign the log.
Closer to the city they hand you a cup (and sometimes a lid) and you only hope the sweet tea silo has enough content left to fill it 😅
Accept every order is working for free for this apps
Interesting to see $2 base pay. I'm in Long Island and it's $3 base. Only time it's $2 is if the order gets stacked. And that only happened in recent months.
Awesome video!!
I do that on Spark sometimes. People try to say it's no money.. it's there IF YOU DO IT RIGHT even on "bad" orders.....
Yes the Golden Rule is what we all need to live by. Every delivery handled with care
😂😂😂 no tip orders deserve to just sit there
Basically what she really trying to get folks to do on the slick side😏
New lower base pay of 2.00 really hurts and no to the streak because I must do shopping orders to move gross pay towards 20.00/hr therefore never making a bonus.
I believe you should’ve got paid for the streak. I would’ve called them and asked what’s up unless you ended the Dash and started back up in that case it starts all over.
Great video Sara, thanks!
Great to commit to the challange. It does show of the flips side of Dashing..Thank you
I hope the streaks go away in Jacksonville Florida and at least you did the challenge for your fans.
Great video! i just subbed. i started doing these types of videos myself a couple weeks ago! did the same challenge for 12 hours and it was brutal lol
I was going to try the accept every order on my own own term but door dash sent stupid orders so i couldn't ie: $3.00 for 8 miles
Sometimes what I've noticed is some of the restaurants don't have WiFi in them so if your data runs out and you can't use Mobile Hotspot you can't confirm the pickup without internet connection. Sometimes, I do think that door dash does use more of your cellphone data plan. Also, if you're delivering or picking up in the downtown areas of your city you should be paid more for those pickups/deliveries (zip codes) due to finding parking, running the risk of having your car towed if you don't park in the right spot, and paying for parking.
I tried doing DoorDash twice, and my anxiety was not having it. I wish I could, definitely have some extra pocket change.
Just doordash yourself home when you go out somewhere- choose a zone on the other side of your house and make them pay you to drive there.
Ooohhhh my favorite! You ROCK!! Getting popcorn & marg to watch! ❤❤
I did a dash yesterday Sunday November 5th from 11:00 AM to 6:30 PM and I made almost $80 for 7 1/2 hours of dashing. I had a couple times I was getting stacked orders from the same place.
That's not very good, if you are averaging anything less than $20/hour then you're doing it wrong
@@803ep3 You have to remember it all depends on the market of where you're dashing. I dash in a small town so what I made is fairly decent. It's better than sitting and doing nothing.
I treat every order as if it were my own as well.
I appreciate this video; too many times all you hear is $$$$$$$$$$$$, when like any other job, there are downsides, and like waiting tables, your money depends on yr customers and what they order.
I’m a dasher, I luv watching other ppl’s experiences with door dash. Btw. Anyone ever tell you, that you look like Ariel winter?
At least you getting tips I did 16 deliveries today and two tips
You need to check the last order you did. There it'll tell you if it included the $8 of the streak. Which is included in the total at the end. I started doing it but I started getting @2.00, $3.00 in it and I rather not anymore.
Thank you for taking one for the team, 😂
I’ve seen lawyers advertising class action lawsuits against gig driving apps because of what they claim is “employee” versus “independent contractor” status. The rules are apparently very different and has to do with you having the freedom to choose what you pick versus being told what to do.
it usually takes people banding together like Ghandi (nonviolent massive united community communication and participation) to force goliaths to treat their workers fairly. The reason it matters is that if companies pay less than minimum wage and treat people like a different class of worker, putting the burden on the worker, the law steps in and corrects the difference. That’s what’s happening. People must stand together and stand up for their rights against being taken advantage of if they want to put abusers in their proper place.
I don’t want to name names… but if people with influence start shedding light on these types of things… it will scare the giants into proper behavior if enough people act together :). That’s the power of social media
Sorry to babble - one last thing: I’ve learned that there’s something called “UPL” the unauthorized practice of the law by nonlicensed persons, so it’s important to steer people to the lawyers and not “practice law” … these companies need a spanking and the lawyers are giving it to them if enough people know to speak and band together. Now I’m done ✅ and thank you for what you do. People listen.
I never do pay by each order anymore it's a game changer for sure because we are 18 an hour but with peak times it goes up to 24 an hour
Streaks kinda makes it feel like a real game tbh
We have the streak here in AZ everyday 11am to 2pm then 5pm to 9pm complete 6 in a row for $9
I noticed AZ don'.t have the option earn by time
@everardomunoz2699 as of last week it was in my market
The streak when you complete 5 in a row its starts over do 5 more and get anther $8 of you have enough time
Ok ok, that’s my area. Just started and trying this today
Good luck!
Hit pause until you're not near Chic fila, problem solved. Place is notorious for trash orders
I do that with Steak and Shake. What a nightmare it is to get an order from there. It takes 20 minutes every single time. 🤦♀️
Want a laugh about my multi aping was doing UE then got a DoorDash shop while in the Walgreens parking lot
Women shoe inserts only going .5 miles went to hit delivered couldn’t find (oops not UE) called UE support then realized I was in wrong app omg one app at a time for me 😂😂
That's happened to me before I had an issue with Uber eats and called doordash support and they didn't understand what I was talking about that I looked at my phone and realized oops wrong number but they ended up sending me a follow-up text about my experience so yeah when you're out there and it's been some hours you definitely can get confused
Earn by time can be good when the wait time takes forever but the tip is a gamble. Stay away from fast food unless the day is slow.
I started doing DD to give me something to do when I’m sitting around. I can’t believe the amount of people that refuse to tip. People please teach your kids to tip. I literally want to put none tipper bags right in front of the AC vent to get it good and cold. But I don’t. Some people just suck.
Jeremihtechz
On instagram
I'm using a bolt grabber software Programm by him to auto grab orders to my suprise the bolt grabber is very sensitive in auto grabbing high paying orders now i'm making cool cash
No people do not have to tip of they don't want to door dash needs to pay their Dashers more money. Your mad at the wrong people.
I couldn’t help
Giving a finger to the no tippers! You are a champ! But man I can’t make myself do every order now how many times I have tried.
😂 Your charity day! You are so brave! I am too afraid!
I don't recommend anyone do this! I did it for entertainment and research purposes only. 😅
@SaraElizabethYT thank you! All the apps have to be cherry picked!
I was after the time slot on the one you spoke of I didn't start my streak until after 8pm when i started last night but It kept going until almost ten when dollar general popped a last minute quick order off and still gave me it
Bring your acceptance rate up to 90 percent and you will see a big difference
I've learned that if its an order with 1-2 miles for $6+ and at a Fast food place, you will be waiting.
I was glancing at your streak thingy and i believe I saw that only certain areas (city’s) are/were eligible so if the app had you go outside the required area it wouldn’t count
I do that from time to time. Except all orders. I don't want to but I do.
I saw the $3.21 for gas! Damn that's CHEAP. I am paying $5.30 here. Yeah, congrats on the earn per offer or earn per time. When I was on vacation in another state, I saw that available. Never tried it out though. When I got back home it's not here available. Lastly, at least you got your acceptance rate up!! Now you can try to aim to be that Top Dasher!! If you do cherry pick after this, I wonder how long it will take for your acceptance rate to go back down to the 30's or 20's?
I accept every order. And have high ratings. None of us know what anyone is dealing with. And I need that 2 dollars. This is crazy how entitled some seem to be. I am not to good to accept them. What else am I doing with my time? Helping people. Despite a tip or not a tip.
When your car starts breaking down, I’m sure all the no tip $2 order people you helped out will chip in for some new ball joints or tie rods and wheel bearings, tires, and oil changes and alternators and batteries and struts and control arms ……
Best way to work treat every order as a professional.
It will be worth it in the end...you will get stacked orders and 7 to 10 dollar orders as top dasher
Wait...why do you have an issue with filling a drink cup? If the restaurant is busy they aren't going to be able to get the drink. Do you also make them fill your drink if you go in and eat too? It takes 2 seconds to put liquid into a cup...why are so many delivery people against this part of the job?! I have never understood this.
Luckily you didn’t get an order for $2.00 for 8 miles I’ve seen that where I live. I’ve been doing solo, but they won’t project now for some reason and they said not many people are sign up
Here where I live
Solo is a scam..you have to pay for credits to then have them pay you back if you don't hit the mark it says. I just checked it for tonight (Friday) from 6-7pm it says I should make $14..I will make that in 1 delivery, so no need for me to waste money paying solo to insure something I already know I will make
Today wore me out. It was a slow day
This is a daily thing for me in cali cause the amounts of the orders versus the short distance for drop offs and alot of orders high pay
What makes a customer the best and what makes customers the worst?
Bad = no tip or low tip horrible instructions. Good = good tip good instructions and easy order
Do you ever get shop and deliver orders, I am in Western Pa and I think about 70% of offers I get from DD are. The money per mile is usually not bad but by the time you shop for everything it's a loser. Dollar General, Target, Walgreens, Aldi and pretty much every other retail store around here is included. Also the last week or so the orders have been few and far between, one day I had the app on and it was 2 hours and 15 minutes before I got to decline one! Is definately becoming harder to make any money without taking garbage orders to get something.
The best advice I have is for EVERYONE to get out of the gig economy as soon as they possibly can. It is a set-up. I drove for 22 years.
Can I ask for what type of business? Did you do some sort of gig work? Are you talking about wear and tear on your vehicle, what?
Your working much harder than any tiktoker would making a video with only the promise of 63 dollars. Makes me actually depressed
"Leave At Door... looks like a house". the most releaving thing ever when this sentence is spoken imo lol
Yesss!
I do like you can insert your expenses like quick books
Dang Door dash base oay used to be like 6.00 $ before tip
Your crazy 😂
Clearly 😂🤣
“is this McDonalds even open? omg its not even open!”….as she is driving past the huge sign that says “Drive thru open” lol
First of all, thank you for being brave and doing this. And I do mean brave, there are some ghetto orders I will not go in to for any internet poll. Secondly, I am curious as to why you stayed in one place when the orders were slow? There is no rule that I know of that says you can't end and restart a dash in another zone for a challenge like this, and there have been many time I've been able to make up ground financially by switching zones or working the line between the zones. I was out today for about 7 hours and switched zones 7 times, averaged $18.43 (total not active time) while keeping my AR at or about 83%. I think I rejected about 3-4 orders (my policy is 3 strike on crap orders to change where I'm dashing, but it's more like 2 these days).
Also about your question with streaks, i haven't seen a streak in months, possibly it's something offered to those under a certain AR? I've been above 70% since mid summer so it could be related (which would suck, as it's another incentive that is pulled when you invest in top dasher stats).
