This was amazing, I'm so glad I found your video. I got rid of my ADT system months ago in an effort to build my own with HA. I've tried doing it through YAML automations with no luck. Then I tried doing it with Node Red and trying to write Javascript. What a pain in the rump. Then up pops your video on Alarmo. This just made my life so much easier and less stressful. It does everything I wanted the alarm system to do and that I had been struggling with on my own. Fantastic video a real life saver! I wouldn't mind seeing some advanced deep dive info.

@@mercuryin1 I can't leave any links on you tube so will be very hard to try explaining it but i have all of my household members in my house have a phone and on the phone i have home assistant on them. I'm using location tracking so when the last person leaves the house alarmo is armed and when the first person arrives home i have it dis-arm the alarm. I'm using Numeric State trigger, and the entity is the name you gave for your home assistant zone, mine is HA. Then i set it to trigger when that goes above 0. Hello Mark
I really like you r videos and this one got me started with HA in my vacation house, where I'm building an alarm system based on Alarmo. I got HA up and running, I have my alarm sensors Door/Window from Aqara and Motion from Philips HUE all working in HA. I also got two older iPads configured as Alarm Panels. All running fine and and working as intended.
I'm now trying to add a Woox R7051 Indoor Siren to the setup, but I can't pick it under the list of Entity in the Action section. The Woox is connected to HA via Zigbee2MQTT and I can see to device and it's entities in HA.
Any idea what I need to look for?
Next step in the alarm setup is connecting Reolink PoE cameras and the Adonno Tagreader - both with the help of your videos as well 🙂

But which is up to you i have the 1500 VA one myself but i'm backing up my intel nuk (the computer i'm running HA on) my ISP's router and a NAS. Great video! I didn't know HA had a alarm addon. I do have a question though. I bought 2 Ring Glass Break sensors yesterday added them to Home Assistant. I tested them by enabling config parameter 11 (detection) and broke some bottles in my trash can. They worked as expected. Now I’m trying to incorporate them into Alarmo. I need to enable and disable parameter 11 on alarming and disalarming, but unfortunately the entity can not be found under the action tab. I did try to specify the action using yaml, but it didn’t take it, because it required the service tag instead of action. Your help will be gratefully appreciated.

Also using Alarmo with mostly sonoff devices and sensors in home assistant.
In addition, I also have 6 Ezviz cameras that has building sirens and floodlights.
With the ezviz api I can activate these from home assistant in the event of a trigger.
And of course, when the sirens sound and their floodlights start flashing all my lights are also get turned on.
I believe the satan’s minions does not want to walk in the light. 😊
I also use ESPressence to automatically set the alarm as well as geofencing when moving away from home.
O yes, I have also connected an old perimeter beam to a sonoff mini switch and incorporated that in my alarm system. That would be the NO (normally open) connection.
All alarm notifications from activate to… is broadcast thorough the house and to our mobile phones.

That's really cool i use espresense as well but never thought to use it in the alarmo system as HA can tell when the last person leaves the house and when the first person arrives home. But it would be a good backup in case HA didn't detect the changes. Although that hasn't happened yet. But backups are nice to have. 😀

You can yes. You would need to have the file stored on HA and then you can call it using your smart speaker (Google, Sonos, ESP Speaker, other connected audio devices etc). You can use Amazon echoes too but there is a little more setup (Covered in my Amazon tutorials).
You essentially just create a routine that plays the media on whatever trigger you want. I have had a part 2 of this video planned but I just haven't gotten round to it.

I will definitely say you pay for what you get. If personally still use this tablet setup with fully kiosk. It's been solid for me. There are a few sluggish amazon fire tablet issues but other than that it's good. If at the time I had some money I would have definitely opted for a more expensive samsung tablet and ran that with fully kiosk.
Fully kiosk is a simple app and has a great HA integration. You can display dashboard, websites etc etc and have the screen automatically turn on based on motion and turn off. IOS would be quicker but it's too restricted to allow some of the cooler device controls.
Again more on this soon :)
