Looove how Chad explained that Tori makes him feel safe, likely because of her gentleness and sweet nature (which men sometimes don't seem to realize they need exposure to) and Tori talked about how Chad's leading and empowerment makes her feel safe. I think one of the greatest things about walking with God is the feeling of safety and security that He provides in telling us that we ARE saved because of Jesus. He doesn't make us wonder. So I really think that the fact that Tori and Chad's relationship has this deeply rooted feeling of safety with each other is a great example of how their relationship is reflective of our relationship with the Lord. If two people can feel so safe with each other, just imagine the amount of security and safety we can find in our God! :) Love this video, channel, and both of you!

There is such a good book I read several years ago titled "Love and Respect" by Eggerichs. I think you would love it! It talks about how the husband should love his wife and how the wife should respect her husband. It was life-changing for me!

What a breath of fresh air in a young couple! I can tell you as someone who's been married for 12 years (in a Christian marriage), you guys are such ahead of the game in maturity with Christ as the center. And definitely agree on the magnified effect of intimacy when waited how God intended :). Also, first year was super easy for us...easy first 4 years until kids, but when you're a team, you can tackle that too!
Could y’all make an in depth video about being long distance, the engagement , and how y’all were intentional towards each other during that phase ? what did the planning look like for the wedding with being separate and how did y’all handle it??
God willing, I am about to transition into a similar part of my life and I would LOVE some advice! Y’all have been great role models and a light in such a confusing and emotional time!
I don’t even know how to explain this but seeing you as an example of a Christian couple has really helped me a lot. It is so hard to keep hope of the future in this world but it is a comfort to see that it is still a very real thing to be a Christian couple. I have had a very rough couple of months and have often felt hopeless. I have strayed from God sometimes. The only thing keeping me going has been Gods promises that He loves me and will work everything together for my good in the end. One other thing that has helped me have hope is that God has someone he is preparing for me and I believe he is putting me through my hardships so I can be stronger and hopefully become a godly wife someday. Your story reminds me that God has a plan through everything. I am praying that you guys have a wonderful marriage beyond this first year and I would appreciate your prayers!
I am a muslim & I never had a relationship before, Christianity & Islam have similar values about dating. We live in a world full of people who make fun of people like me (I was bullied for it) for waiting until meeting the right one. I am focusing on myself , learning italian & Spanish, battling my depression & then the right one will show up. Keeping faith in God always because life is hard and we have to keep fighting, sending you all my love!!!

I'm not married yet. But, I appreciate your advice and sharing your honest experiences. I am one who likes to prepare for the future as much as possible. And while I agree that there is no way to prepare for marriage 100%, I do appreciate any helpful advice I could work on within myself to do so. I have added this to my "marriage and relationships playlist" so I can watch it again in the future.

Such great examples for future generations (I'm supposed to get married in April but with Coronavirus it's gotten postponed till July) This is surprisingly inspiring me to have more joy and hope in the process of waiting. God's doing something whether I know it or not. It's been a frustrating time but seeing happy couples like you guys makes me eager to know it's all worth the wait!

Literally... thank God for you guys! I'm in a long distance relationship and we have been told by so many people its not going to work out, and that our love for each other is just the ''honey moon'' phase. But we always tell each other that if you keep jesus the center then your love for one another will only keep growing for each other. long distance has been so hard, but we just believe God is growing our relationship during this time. we've been attacked so much but we just know its because God wants to use our relationship to glorify himself. can't even tell you how much i need this video today, and now I'm thankful i have your videos to encourage me. The first year of marriage is such a roller coaster! So many ups and downs. Most people feel like it's better than expected, but I think having a realistic expectation of what it should be is extremely helpful. Using God's blueprint is the best way to have those realistic expectations.

You 2 are so awesome and so cute together. My husband & I also never found the 1st year of marriage hard. It got harder as we started having kids financially a real burden. But we survived the kid raising years, been married now 37 years and still like being together and enjoy each other's company. We are so fortunate to be friends also. We haven't fought much either. Continue to keep God in your marriage and you will be fine. You give great advice, thank you. Love your testimony. God bless.

This is what I understood from it, and she can correct me if I misunderstood. Submission means allowing the husband to lead. It doesn’t mean we don’t get a word, but that ultimately they are the ones held accountable as the head of the household. I feel like when we understand Gods intention in our roles we learn to thrive in them. Often we don’t understand that by failing to submit we are stepping out of Gods plan and therefore creating unnecessary strife. Granted, it’s much easier for a woman to submit to a man who is leading in the manner God intended him to.
