Just saw neckbones for the first time at my local store and knew I could count on someone here on TH-cam for a good recipe. This looks fantastic. Next time I'm shopping, I will definably grab some.
Thank you so much for this recipe. I use it all of the time. Only thing I do different is. I use 4 beef boullion cubes and half the amount of better than beef bouliion sauce and half of habanero minced, a dash of scotch bonnet pepper powder and 2 tbsp of sugar. Oh and instead of the adobo I use the garlic and scallion allspice my wife is Jamaican so I make it to be more appealing to her. It’s the best she actually asked me to make the oxtails because of how tender I got the neck bones.
Thank you so much for such a step by step instructional video. I am not a cook; and with this video I don't have to be!😂😊 THE BONUS IS: THIS came out great! Very tender!!
Thank you for sharing. I've been wanting to learn how to cook flavorful "beef" neckbones. My grandmother will be gone 6 years in November and learning to cook the meals she used to eat really makes me feel closer to her memory. This really makes me happy thank you again for passing along these recipes
She even looks like a pretty good cook. Looks very flavourful. I'm a pretty good cook myself. But that right there looks like fire.🔥 But I think I would've went with some roasted garlic.Mashed potato are some parmesan mashed potato instead of rice.❤
Exactly!!! A lot of people don't know that American oxtail are simply cow tails. They rarely sell actual oxtail in America. At one point they were selling kangaroo tail and passing it off as oxtail. The necklines take less time to cook and less expensive and that sets well with my soul. Lol😂
Ya baby at the end was super cute ❤ & loved this video!! Wish I would have watched this earlier..made pork neck bones this morning..they came out ok but not great. I knew what I did wrong after watching ya video..I added too much flour after sauteing the veggies &I didn't have beef neck bones lol a make this again soon ❤
I will get me some neck bones next time. I’ve been buying beef oxtails all this darn time , little did i know i could get neck bone for fraction of the price lmao .. as long they’re beef neck bones im good😁
@Janice Blount well said, nothing wrong using stove top or oven , I cook three to four hrs sometimes on stove , nothing is going to happen, some people don’t belong in the kitchen
@Janice Blount I've always been afraid of them also! Not only that they can explode, people make bombs with the old ones! After I saw that on TV yrs ago, it was a rap for me... I'm good!😂
Whatever floats your boat, this is what EYE do so I can give my family a good home cooked slow cooked tasting meal on a random Wednesday night. From grandparents to toddlers no one has ever eaten anything from my instant potS ( I have 2) and said she don't belong in the kitchen 🤷🏾♀️
Great recipe. You do have to clean the bone to get the grit off the meat and bons, but just FYI, it is not blood that is in the beef, it is myoglobin a protein that turns the meat red, just like a steak.
You know🤔 I wonder how this would taste if you deboned the necks after the cook, mixed them with the rice, then…☝️😑used that filling to make stuffed cabbage rolls. 😃I’d call’em NECK ROLLS!!
I baked some neck bones with bbq sauce in the oven while I was down south in Alabama recently and I got laughed at because neck bones don’t have that much meat on them I got the recipe off you tube to me they came out good tho lol
Just cooked this tonight, my family loves it

Instead of all the water, try adding some red wine, and I also add salsa for some zing
