@@bigkai5551 Hey! The video is the recipe. I didn't really add anything in the discription...but I can. I really didn't measure the seasonings and stuff. I'm so sorry! I'll got back and see what I can do to assist!
I bought a hog and they gave me a package of neck bones. I didn’t know what to do with them. I’m glad I found your channel, I’m using your recipe this weekend. Thank you
I found your channel through Peach McIntyre. When you added the Vinegar to the neckbones i was sold .😊 Im in the South (Ga)and yes its a must when cooking pork, even if it's just to clean it. tfs. I cant wait to try your recipe.
Wait one minute, you have just taught me something about neckbones that I really never gave much thought to do. Searing the neckbones first?? I am all about bringing more flavor to my meats, but I never once thought to sear my neckbones before hand, and they looked so good. Thank you so much 💓💗.
Thank u so much, I normally suck at following someone’s recipe, but I was able to do this to the “T” … thank u so much and it was so easy. Thanks to u I believe in myself with achieving any dish I desire thanks to people like you. My family were so in heaven !!!
aww that is awesome! You GO GIRL!!! In my "Martin" voice! I'm so happy that you were brave enough to even try! YOU GOT THIS! I feel so blessed to even have a small part in helping someone in the kitchen.
🤯🤯🤯 I made these tonight, had the recipe saved for a few weeks after I found your channel by accident and I have to tell you they came out amazing. If you ever go live on here for any reason at all please know I'm going to donate and Super chat to you I feel like I needed to pay you for the food I made tonight, never made neck bones before and I am truly going to add this to my arsenal, thank you for dinner 🙌🏾 🍾
My dad taught me was how to prepare neck bones. I'm 35 and make em at least twice a month. After cleaning them I take a Tablespoon of better than bouillon garlic base and stir it into the water. Season, add the onion and after a half hour add black eyed peas. At the 2 hr mark I remove the meat and make a rue (cornstarch/flour) mix to thicken the juice into a gravy (must be careful not to over thicken). I like em hot out the pot over my bed of basmati rice topped with Frank's red and a side of corn bread. Have a good sleep after that 😪. Great video.
I AM from the South as I stated in my comment in my neck of the woods we DONOT add vinegar to neck bones. I’m from Georgia 🇬🇪. All Southerners do not cook the same.
I had no idea what these were. I found some in the store for dirt cheap! Couldn’t believe it. I love the fact that you are using bacon grease and the lemon pepper! Going to be trying this soon! Thank you for sharing
On top of the stove is about 1 he to 1hr 30 minutes. They need to be fork/fall off the bone tender. If I put them in my oven in the Dutch pot about an hour and 45 minutes. I always check them though after an hour to assess the tenderness. Hope this helps!💕💕
@@Magzbutler, it came out really good! I added Cream of Mushroom and put it all over a plate of egg noodles - my kid tore it up! Thank you for sharing 🥰
The vinegar is a two fold benefit in my opinion, it helps to tenderize the meat as well as add to the flavor. It doesn’t taste like straight vinegar it is a flavor booster to me. Let me know if you try it out!
Girl!!!!!!! Neck bones are one of my very fav meals!! My great gma used to fix them when I was a little girl. We eat the heck out of them in the fall and winter! Can you please tell me though what the vinegar does to them and how much I should use. I want to try it in mine this weekend. Just picked up 4 packs today from my butcher. I only fix one pack at a time but I always have extras in the freezer. It's such a super easy delish meal!!💖💖💖
@@Magzbutler I will definitely try it and let you know. Fixing them either tomorrow or Saturday. So glad I found your channel. When I was a little girl my friends thought I was crazy when I would say I loved neck bones lol
I use smoke neck bones for my collard greens…so I boil them and add the greens because the smoked neck bones have so much flavor already. I tend to use smoked meats for flavoring. I wouldn’t cook them this way. If you do, I’d love to know how they turned out?! Thank you for watching! Oh…also if you want to bump the flavor of your rice, boiled corn, etc….that’s what I’d use the smoked meat for.💕💕
I wouldn’t recommend these because they are not smoked. You cook these to bring in the flavor. Now, they do sell smoked neck bones and you can definitely cook those down in greens to add the Smokey flavor to them!
Lawd when you said heeping I aaid I'm in the right place best place to get them is in the Asian market I got about six no seven packs for like 30 bucks
I did not use not one bit of flour. This was not a gravy neck bone. The sauce reduces down just enough...but not a gravy. You can though make a gravy with the drippings! I may try that next!
I don’t know what to tell you... but I’m Alabama bread... pork needs vinegar where I’m from! We can agree to disagree. We even use it on our ribs! Thank you so much for watching!💕💕

Great choice using bacon grease for frying. This enhances the flavor and is a better option than a standard canola oil

Absolutely it will!!! You can use beef bullion, instead of the chicken bullion to enrichen the beef flavor! Let me know if you make them!

Yessszzz!
How long do you cook them for ?
No less than 45 minutes. The meat should come away from the bone seamlessly!

May I ask how long everything is , I’m sorry you never said how long is fall off the bone #i need help 😢
Leave them covered, slightly vented boiling for about 45 minutes. Check them. Some may take more time depending on how meaty they are.
How long do I let them boil
At least 45 minutes...but you need to check the meat. Once it easily pulls away from the bone...it's ready!
