I’ve had my 2023 Si for just shy of two years and highly recommend it to anyone shopping the segment. Its biggest strengths are its inputs, practicality, affordability, and overall packaging. The shifter is positive, the clutch is friendly and as non-fatiguing as could be, the steering is weighted nicely, accurate, and has a nice ratio (with minimal feel, but nothing that disappoints you on a backroad), and the brakes are intuitively calibrated if a little on the squishy side. The fixed suspension is also very wisely tuned from the factory to provide a ride that’s stiff and confidence inspiring without being uncomfortable. The fuel economy is excellent. I drive spiritedly all of the time and average 29mpg. If I drive it like a normal person, low-mid 30s are completely typical, and hypermiling would put it easily in the upper 30s. The 11th Gen Civic packaging is brilliant. Very practical, very user-friendly, and very spacious. The materials are satisfactory for the price. The sound system is satisfactory, if lacking clarity in the highs and more dynamic bass ranges. Its biggest flaws are its poor sound insulation, rev hang, and overall engine output. General NVH and tire roar are bad, even for the economy sedan segment. Aftermarket insulation won’t fix this, but changing out the stock, low rolling-resistance A/S rubber will at least significantly reduce tire roar. As far as power and rev hang, there are two common tuning devices and two common canned flash providers which are popular in the community, all of which “fix” these issues. Your tuners are Hondata and KTuner; Hondata seems to be the go-to for the Type-R crowd and the KT for the Si. I went with the KTuner. The two most popular flashes are from Phearable (the 1.5) and TSP “Stage 1.” I’ve been running a KTuner + TSP combo for 90% of my ownership and HIGHLY recommend it. Can switch between three maps on the fly (#1 stock ~17psi, #2 20psi, #3 25psi) and virtually eliminates rev hang. The power in map 3 is legitimately satisfactory with claims of ~260hp at the crank without any other supporting mods. It’s a great car for anyone wanting a reliable, practical, affordable, daily driver that can put a smile on their face at legal speeds. I’ve owned *fun* fun cars, like a GT350, and this satiates my need to row gears while grabbing groceries while still having Tardis packaging and not needing to fill up every three days.
I got mines tuned with Hondata, I recently noticed Hondata is geared more towards the Type R, it made 225hp and 245 lb-ft to the wheels at 25 psi boost. I know other people make more than that, would I be able to switch to a Ktuner from a Hondata?
@@weirdshibainu it’s the biggest reason why I could see someone wanting a GTI instead, outside of the obvious power difference and styling preferences aside. Ironically, I was looking at Golf Rs but wound up in an Si because it was the only thing on my list I could find for MSRP
Honda - The Si should definitely be offered as a hatch. The original Si was introduced as a hatch in 1986 and remained as a hatch only until 2007 when a sedan version was offered. Hatchbacks offer so much more versatility (and coolness) than a sedan. Keep it as a 4 door hatch though. Please.

Okay, so I don’t know if I’m the only one that feels this way, but for a disclaimer, I live in the U.S., and I can’t wrap my head around the fact that the Civic costs over $30k, with only 200hp and 190ft lbs of torque. It hasn’t changed much from the last generation, with its MSRP started out less, had the same features of the Integra A-Spec, and had more power. The only thing that I see different with the 11th Gen Si, is that it costs more, with a newer body style, and less features, for more money. Then when you get to a dealer, that want to charge $5k over sticker with markups and accessories BEFORE TAXES, in which happened to me when I was looking at a 2023 Civic. I get that it’s a Civic. My first two cars were Hondas, but I just can’t get why they cost so damn much now.

3:38 If this car is ANYTHING like my 10th gen si, you shouldnt really shift these car from 2nd to 1st anyways. First of all its just sorta unecessary & second you can just feel the car really doesnt want to do it… anything above 5 kmh it kinda locks you out, so im wondering if they’ve somehow now fixed that issue altogether for smother 2-1 downshifts.
2026 Civic Si: 1. 2.0L turbo engine 2. 245 HP 3. Hatchback option 4. Manual hand brake 5. Fog lights 6. No stupid fake rev audio through speakers 7. Collapsible infotainment screen 8. Switch back to dealership from stealership ( 32K max) 9. And I suddenly woke up.
@Honda really needs to crank up the horsepower and torque on this car. It's been far too long that the MK8 Golf GTI with the last manual transmission for its 2024MY at 243hp, the Jetta GLI with its secondary refresh now still at 228hp and the out going Forte GT with 201hp and 195lb-ft of tq with its manual transmission have been tearing Honda up. Yes, the Civic Si was never about horsepower wars like the S550/S650 gen Mustangs, Alpha platform 5th/6th gen Camaros and the LX platform Challenger and Charger brothers, but in all honesty, the Civic Si really needs to be pushing 230-240hp like the AP1 and AP2 S2000s used to be and give it at least 215-225lb-ft of tq to be the true second most powerful Civic in the lineup over the Civic Hybrid and over its competition now that the MK8.5 Golf GTI is only DCT for the 2025MY (and the 2026MY) as this will be the final gen Golf cars ever built including the MK8.5 Golf R too, the secondary refresh Jetta GLI, and the new Kia K4. Staying stagnant at 200hp and 192lb-ft of tq is not a good look for Honda themselves and the Civic Si community. I get it. You can modify it if you want more power, but why ruin the warranty when it should come heavily performed out of the assembly plant line with the warranty?
I got a GTI because there was no SI hatch. Both cars were fun, but the Honda had better seats, and a better gearbox, VW had the better brakes, hatch, and adaptive dampers for the same price, also smaller so it is easier to park downtown and in my garage, and I need a hatch often. Now with VW having no manual, I hope that Honda makes a lil hatch Si when I have to replace the GTI. Maybe bring back the CRX or something????
Turn the graphic of the front of the cars horizontal instead of vertical and I promise people will dig them more and understand it right away which will lead to more being sold ❤

My first two cars were Hondas, but I just can’t get why they cost so damn much now.
honda reliability clout tax
i literally never comment on videos… but a 4 door civic si hatch is something i WILL buy if it happens
bring the Si HATCH back!
Glad y’all are enjoying my home state. You’re right we do have some of the best back roads in the country. Y’all need to check out Tom’s Refurb on here. I think y’all would like him as well.
I love this car but just like you said, I would love a hatchback! Would be so awesome to have the fun SI with the practicality !❤🙏🏼
I’m actually sad they don’t make the 2.0 na hatch a manual. Just the si and the type r:(
Honda give us the hatchback
SI please. The new body hatchback is so much more practical for daily use. Also no more dual mass flywheel and stronger clutch from factory.
My dad has a 2017 Si coupe and I still think it's one of the best looking Civics ever made.
I love the way the 9th gen coupes look I have a 2013 si coupe I like the 10th gen coupes too
i love the looks of the 10th gen civic si coupe, i agree
You guys forgot it now comes with new black side skirts. Before it was all paint matched.
Really dig the new facelift. Great review! Sad to see Jack didn’t want to get Uber-ed around by you guys 😂 Also! Come over to western NC for some great roads too!
Si hatchback should be a no-brainer.
You guys are close to my neck of the woods here in Georgia! Are you driving the Si on The Dragon? One of the BEST roads ANYWHERE! 💯 8:24
6'11/2" CLUB 😎
...and, make some Lexus shirts Yuri! LOVE your concept!
Hatchback with 4 doors and a handbrake but no turbo please. Thanks for keeping the manual alive!!
If they make it any easier to get into 1st then say hello to more money shifts.
@@michaelnguyen2975good point… lol.
love your work ❤❤❤
2026 Civic Si:
1. 2.0L turbo engine
2. 245 HP
3. Hatchback option
4. Manual hand brake
5. Fog lights
6. No stupid fake rev audio through speakers
7. Collapsible infotainment screen
8. Switch back to dealership from stealership ( 32K max)
9. And I suddenly woke up.
Good suggestions Yuri.
Nice looking car and all, but not enough power to scratch the hot hatch (sport compact) itch. I'd spring for the Hyundai or VW instead.
Im a full time uber driver and i use a 2023 honda civic si:)!!!!
I have a 2012 SI and I'm going to miss the Coupe when I upgrade my 2012, 250,000 miles car. I love my coupe.
Once I sell 1000 shirts I’ll rotate it 90 degrees
@@TheStraightPipes turn one 90 degrees and you’ll sell 100 this week lol 😂 I love you both thank you for replying to my comment guys! It’s so sick! Haha 🤣 if your ever in the Phoenix area and wanna rip my manual Supra let’s do it!
when you said “hey google” my google speaker started to listen and tried giving me directions to mexico😂
I miss the high revving 2.0 naturally aspirated VTEC engine found in the 2007 Civic SI
I think the si is a good daily that’s also sporty
Looking forward to the Hybrid Hatch review.
THAT's a Civic?! Damn, what happened to the little tin can from the 80s?! This is a serious piece of machinery! I'm exaggerating, I didnt live under a rock for the last 40 years, but you have to admit that the name Civic had totally different connotations! I miss the cute little throw-around...
But coming back to this car, I love Honda and it's commitment to their brand and this Civic in particular. I have always had a soft spot for quite a few of their quirky cars. HR-V, Element, Odyssee, CR-V (the older ones). It's cool to be the nerd among car brands, makes me feel right at home!!
They still feel like tin cans very light care compared to everyone else
Living in South Florida, I really appreciate heated seats.
