LYRICS:
Come, Thou long-expected Jesus
Born to set Thy people free
From our fears and sins release us
Let us find our rest in Thee
Israel’s strength and consolation
Hope of all the earth Thou art
Dear desire of every nation
Joy of every longing heart
Born Thy people to deliver
Born a child and yet a King
Born to reign in us forever
Now Thy gracious kingdom bring
By Thine own eternal spirit
Rule in all our hearts alone
By Thine own sufficient merit
Raise us to Thy glorious throne

Beautiful Praise to Jesus, our Lord and Saviour. 🎶🙌🏼
I just prayed to the Lord, asking about the signs of the times. and when I looked up this was typed in on my youtube search bar, ive never heard of it before. Felt I had to write this
Even so, Come! The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come!" ❤
Jesus is the reason
For Christmas and all year
around.
🎄
Lyrics:
Come, Thou long-expected Jesus, born to set Thy people free;
from our fears and sins release us; let us find our rest in Thee.
Israel’s strength and consolation, hope of all the earth Thou art;
dear desire of every nation, joy of every longing heart.
.
[Joy to those who long to see thee, Dayspring from on high, appear;
come, thou promised Rod of Jesse, of thy birth we long to hear!
O’er the hills the angels singing news, glad tidings of a birth;
“Go to him, your praises bringing; Christ the Lord has come to earth.”]
.
Come to earth to taste our sadness, he whose glories knew no end;
by his life he brings us gladness, our Redeemer, Shepherd, Friend.
Leaving riches without number, born within a cattle stall;
this the everlasting wonder, Christ was born the Lord of all.
.
Born Thy people to deliver, born a child, and yet a King,
born to reign in us forever, now Thy gracious kingdom bring.
By Thine own eternal Spirit rule in all our hearts alone;
by Thine own sufficient merit, raise us to Thy glorious throne.
Thank you!
Yes! It's CHRISTmas once again!
Reminded of the Scriptural verse recorded in I Chronicles 16:29
"Worship the Lord in the splendor of holiness...
Our Savior Jesus Christ is the reason for the Christmas season!! Not about how much money we can spend or who has the most gifts under their tree!!
My all time favorite Christmas song!
It was great to see Sing! An Irish Christmas broadcast on the BBC last night. It makes a very welcome alternative to the grim crime thrillers usually shown within the time slot. Punching a hole in the dark! More please.
This song lifts our spirits and reminds of our hope in Christ the King 👑
AMEN
❤❤❤
Thank you, Gettys. I worship our God and King with you and all believers around the world.
So melodious. It's a joy to worship this season with these songs
This song brings such peace to my heart. Christ before us, always. Thank you for such a beautiful listening experience.

Fantastic! Never heard a version so upbeat--but not too upbeat. Wonderful. Great tune. Great lyrics. Thanks so much. Dec. 13, 2021. She looks so charming in that dress and the silvery, sparkly eye shadow. What a girl!
Most uplifting and enjoyable concert - Loves pure light!!

@@jessemiller6358 Hi! Weather here in cincy is actually mild and a bit cloudy. This pandemic has us all unsettled but God is still God! We are well. I hope you & yours are too. Thanks for the compliment.

not familiar with this song but I am glad that I am now cause it sounds so good while also having the truth of scripture in its lyrics
Awesome 👏 God bless everyone 🙏🏻
This song is great. It has the same structure as another great song which i love called "Love Divine, All Loves Excelling"
The hymn tune is called "Hyfrydol." It's the same melody used for "Alleluia, Sing to Jesus."
And other songs such as "Jesus, What a Friend of Sinners" and "I Will Sing of My Redeemer".
@@jilliemc Also "Our Great Savior" was set to this tune. Must have been a very popular composition!
Guess "Hyfrydol" (which is the title of the musical composition of this song) is Welsh for "tuneful", "pleasant", and "cheerful". And indeed the tune to this hymn is all of that!
Wonderful. I can’t find the second verse anywhere. I even bought their sheet music and it’s not on there.
It’s probably the verses added by Mark E. Hunt in 1978
@@kennylee6499 thank you!

Look up the Red Mountain Lyrics you will find that verse and another version between Come Thou Long expected Jesus, and Born thy people to deliever

Monday, December 4th.
Isaiah 2:1-5, Psalm 122, Matthew 8:5-11, 13.
When Jesus heard him, he was amazed and said to those who followed him, “Truly I tell you, in no one in Israel have I found such faith.” (Matthew 8:10)
-------------Faith-----------------------
What comes to mind when you think of a person of great faith? That humble woman who tirelessly runs all of the church committees? That theologian whose knowledge of Scripture amazes you? Or maybe it’s the child, face full of wonder as they sing hymns during school mass. True, they are all examples of faith, for it has many rich expressions.
So, where does today’s centurion fit in? He’s not one of the chosen. He’s a Roman. A soldier, at that. And, yet, Jesus praises his tremendous faith above all he’d met in Israel so far.
The centurion got it, plain and simple. He fully believed in the power Jesus and fully admitted his own unworthiness. But still, he approached. Still, he asked. Still, he came to Jesus for help and completely trusted in the words Jesus told him. That is the gift of faith.
🙏🏼Jesus, strengthen my faith. Today, help me hear your word and trust in it, completely.🙏🏼 In Jesus name. Amen. 🙏🏼
