It's so nice to have some new Christmas music. I've been listening to the same CDs for almost 20 years and a change of pace is most welcome. Christmas doesn't have to be about everything old. Advent celebrates the incarnation of God. It should also remind the Church that we, as the Body of Christ, must carry on His ministry.

Please do not criticize other people's worship to Jesus Christ! It's there's and it belongs to Jesus Christ! It might not be what you like - It belongs to Jesus alone! Jesus looks at the heart that's where worship comes from - out of our heart, our mouth speaks! Worship Jesus !

@@justdoinmythingI don't mean to be contentious, but if you are criticizing a type of worship music because it is based on "worldly music" then you might as well stop listening to every kind of music. Celtic music also has pagan roots, you know? God doesn't care about what instruments or musical style you use, as long as it exalts Him and praises His Holy name. As a fan of rock, metal, classical, folk, celtic, pop, etc., I think it's great that there are so many varieties and styles of worship. :) God bless
@bobcriss600 I completely agree! This arrangement is a perfect blend of modernization without losing the spirit of Prichard’s 1885 original. Churches that insist on taking the Nadab and Abihu (normative principle) form of worship should stick to Oceans and big wet kisses and leave our beautiful hymns alone. They’ve bled out the body of Christ enough as is!
@@joannedeborahchisholm9522 God has given instruction in the scriptures on how He wants to be worshipped. Romans 12:1 and Hebrews 12:28-29 both say to offer “acceptable” worship. This can only mean that there is a type of unacceptable worship.
1 Corinthians 14:20 (this chapter is all about proper worship) says not to be children in our thinking (exalting “worship” which is designed to be pleasing to the worshipper is childish), and 1 Cor. 14:37-38 says that “worship” not rooted in scripture is not recognized, and verse 40 says all things should be done decently and *in order.* That’s called liturgy.
The entire book of Hebrews is about how to connect the OT tabernacle and temple worship to the updated covenant of the NT. Those who can’t decipher it (like me! I needed books by much smarter Christians) ought to never organize or lead a church service. They need to dissolve their congregations, find a church that * can * decipher it, and sit in the pews and learn.

This is an old Welsh tune called Hyfrodol. There are a few hymns set to it. Very lovely melody.
