Alyssa Sutherland’s Deadite was PHENOMENAL. That acting was just top tier. The threat was real, and her clear separation of El vs the Deadite… iconic for every single right reason
All the actors were the best part imo of this movie.

Morgan Davies was Amazing and it's even more amazing that this wasn't about his Trans identity it's about him being a boy with 2 sisters to look after its just so refreshing and heartwarming a teans character can finally be seen as just a human in a movie and not a walking pucnhline

I was super excited to learn the actor who plays Danny, Morgan Davies, is trans. 🏳️⚧️🖤 Whether Danny was meant to be a trans man as well, it’s awesome that a trans actor got this role in such a big horror franchise.

I can't tell if her scream actually boils the water due to increased temperature or because of sonic turbulence (the cracking mirror). Or if it's because it's a movie. All three??? Great acting, great direction, great shots and cinematography for this one.

This actually made far more sense than any evil dead movie before this. Perfectly written story. Reasons why Danny does everything? -

If you pay attention he already knew about the bank vault below the building (little girl tells aunt)
He knows how much his mom is struggling to take care of them so he must have thought he would find some cash/valuable stuff there. All evil deads before this doesn't even care to do the story justices. Easily the best evil dead by a long shot.
Also none of their bodies suddenly recover after demon is out of their bodies (unlike 2013).also only those who get bitten/cut directly turn.
Not too gory as 2013 just for sake of being gory nor too much campy like og. Perfection of a movie. ❤️👏👏

I loved the Bruce Campbell cameo in this. I wonder if you guys know about it? Bruce was the voices on the record. He's the priest reading the book, and here's the cool part, he's also the voice that says "destroy it, it's called the book of the dead for a reason." THAT voice has been confirmed by Bruce and director Lee Cronin to be a time-displaced Ash Williams.

I just found you guys like a week ago and have been binging your videos. 😍 I would love to sit and watch horror movies with y’all because you’re SO funny!! 😂 I went to the theater twice to watch this and was honestly surprised at how much I laughed instead of being scared. I think it was a great mixture of dark, like 2013, but not as brutal as that was because it brought the camp of the others. Definitely a great addition to the franchise! 😁👍

I think one of the most terrifying thing of this version is you can cleanse the soul in the other films. In this one however! They keep coming back the soul will forever remain suffering (as we heard in the phone of the sister) throughout and after the possession! 🔥

Tho in this evil dead it really defeats the point of the other lores of the book and demon.
Cuz note how every other evil dead they allow you different choices of cleansing. Dememberment, burning, burying.
Even more so I believe this universe of the evil dead kinda makes no sense half the time.
It's a book that shows pictures and uses records to read out details which intentionally brings out the demon.
Then of course there's different versions of the books and demons but when these people find like these books they should've been extra careful.
In the evil dead 2013 the Abomination demon was killed and the book still remained but the demons influence and soul didn't linger around to possess her.
Hence the demon was forced back into the underworld/hell.
So the book remained and would have to be re read again or to summon the demon again. Idk I'm no expert but based off the other films this one was good in every other way except the book and demon.... and lore

I thought everyone did such a great job especially Alyssa Sutherland. Cinematography wise, the lightning, camera movement and shots were outstanding. Also for a young kid actor Nell Fisher was really good, I really liked Kassie ✌️😊 and I hope I'm not the only one who defends him, but I honestly don't blame Danny for what happened. It was all cursed circumstances. He wanted to sell the book to help his mom out and he tried to stop the vinyl from playing further. Also Morgan Davies is really beautiful ❤️
Many of the characters in this movie are named after actors and characters in the older movies. Beth Bixler is named after Embeth Davidtz who was Shiela in Army of Darkness and Denise Bixler who played Linda in Evil Dead 2. Ellie is named after Ellen Sandweiss, who you know as Cheryl. The character Bruce is named after Bruce Campbell. Jake the Cheetos Kid was named after the redneck from Evil Dead 2.

I thought they were terrible but then I saw the 2013 one, that one was my favorite and then I saw Evil Dead Rise this past weekend and Evil dead Rise is my favorite Evil dead movie! we know that there are alternate dimensions in the Evil Dead universe, so in the new movies alternate dimension Mia is obviously a version of Ash (both have 3 letter names, both were possessed themselves at one point, both lost an arm and replaced it with a chainsaw) SO there is a possibility that the third movie will be when everything comes together, maybe Beth and the little girl will still be hunted by the deadites and at a crucial moment BOOM Mia shows up and saves them because she became a demon hunter after what happened to her in the cabin. that would be SOO 🔥FIRE🔥 tbh

Terrifier 2 was the movie that used a lot of blood, it passed that!
The stairs were destroyed in the Earthquake, actually. Had they left early on they'd have been fine and somebody ELSE would have found the book instead, probably. Finding the book is kind of an inevitable thing.
If I found the hole… and went down- the MOMENT I saw that picture of the priests I would bounce! 😂 nope! Not today! (But inside, my caucasian curiosity would be going wild and NEED to know if they were performing exorcisms!! 😂 )

I had a reslly good time with the film, the setup, the acting and the characters were all great, but i felt like most if not all of the deaths/kills etc in the film were a huge cop out which left me wanting more, still prefer the 2013 one as the remakes go 👍
The 2013 one is definitely more grounded I would say, whereas rise feels more comedic.
2013 was what Evil Dead was supposed to be all along. Dark, disturbing and with very little camp. Like, these r DEMONS we're dealing with, NOT circus clowns.
The movie is great, (better thanthe 2013 one in my opinion), but I still like Ash's story best. Speaking of, have you watched the Ash vs Evil Dead series yet?

I literlally finally watched this...I got CHILLS through a lot of this movie!!! I am hoping for more!
a trailer popped up one night out of nowhere and i saw her face in the peep hole and i threw my phone on the bed faced down and said tf was that shit? i skipped it so fast. this movie is the one that i didn't wanna see, i regret watching it, and i'm gonna regret watching the reactions, idk why i'm doing this to myself, but one night i went and saw it after dinner with my bf at the movies and it creeped him out too. my 8 year old daughter wanted to see it cause she saw it pop up on ad an youtube, i said oh no girl, you ain't watching this movie, i don't mind if she watches some scary movies, but it's certain ones she can watch and some that she can't. i love horror movies, but something about this one just doesn't sit right with me. i don't like clowns, but i've seen all the IT'S and i''ll watch those before i watch something like this again. i don't like the old original exorcist, shit like that scares me. i hate when people say "oh it' wasn't that scary, or there's enough blood. movies don't gotta have lots of blood/gory for it to be scary. the storylines and the ones based on true events itself make it creepy or scary enough. i know for a fact for some of people saying it wasn't that scary, were probably shitting their pants in the movie theater, like don't front for social media. it's just the way she looked, moved, and sounded. my favorite one still is the 2013 one, but this one freaked me tf out. just by watching you react to it, i'm gonna scare myself and when i go to bed.

As much as i liked how scary this one was... i did not like how the book worked.... the demons/deadites werent able to stay dead and or be cleansed, then of course the demon lingered around and got the girl in the end. So...... im very confused how evil dead went from being able to beat back the demons but not kill them to now its impossible to stop em
As you see there's 3 books in evil dead franchise, this new one here is the third ones that is has a different rule of killing the possessed individuals so once it's awaken, it can't be stop easily.
Different book, different rules. This one just happens to be the hardest to beat.
I also found the artwork in this book to be more terrifying. It reminded me of the Scary Stories To Tell In the Dark books I used to read as a kid, but inked in blood.@@rebelfighter5249
