    I discovered this video a little late. Last week, I had a sudden tightness/pain behind my left knee. I thought I was having a new onset of DVT and had to do an US and D-dimer. Both turned out to be neg. My PT told me exactly what you're saying here in your video. The exercises my PT recommended are the same ones in your video. You're right on but just better since you explained it much clearer and easier to understand. Great work!! Thanks

    Hi Alyssa, Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹After watching your videos I just put a chair in front of TV and pace around for many hours, raising my legs/ hips as high as I can….. it made a difference …… after suffering for many years due to failed foot surgeries , that led to frozen big toe joints and shortening of metatarsals. The truth is Everything starts with hips and thousands of small steps convert to better walking-- you’re AWESOME!

    I just fell from sharp pain in back of my right knee, after x-rays, said there is joint effusion and change along lateral patellar facet which appears chronic, I haven't been back to my PCP since x-rays, I value any input you can give me, MRI was suggested, but not sure I want to go there, hope you just had great holiday, and have a good month of September in which I will turn 75 years young. that might help any advice you can give me, love your videos and style, favorite video, is 11 excercises for balance to the several times a week. tell my PCP every time I see her, and tell you the same thing, Alyssa you are " THE BEST".....

    Thank you for this video. I had a problem with my knee locking that started when I was about 13 and first happened when I was playing catcher in baseball. It locked and the pain was Extreme! It didn’t last long and eventually released. However it continued to happen and got worse over time. Unfortunately my daughter now experiences this in her knee and has it worse than me. The last time her knee locked for about 5 hrs and wouldn’t release even though I tried massaging the pop muscle . She’s now off at college and she’s desperately trying to find someone to manage this. I think your stretches make sense. Anything else you’d recommend?

    • @arthritisadventure
      @arthritisadventure  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      It really depends on why it’s happening- locking could be knee instability, meniscus involvement, ligament involvement, hypermobility, etc.

    • @arthritisadventure

      Knee pain on the medial side can be commonly due to hip weakness. It can also be secondary to loss of mobility which can happen with back of knee pain.

    I have arthritis (both Osteo & RA). I am 64 but started CrossFit 6 years ago. I did most of the exercises just at lower weights than younger 90men. This past year my osteo has really gotten worse, and I started to get some pain, and what felt like swelling behind the knee. I have found stretching helps fend off this issue. My PCP has told me to stay away from lunges and never squat more than 90 degrees. Is this solid advice, or should I keep trying to get stronger by doing lunges and deep squats?
