I didn’t know what to prepare for dinner tonight. I wanted something meatless and easy to prepare. I’m trying Akis’ recipe. I’m sure it will be extraordinarily delicious! His recipes always are. LOVE HIM!!!
Thank you for sharing more about healthy Greek cooking....another side of the Greek culinary lexicon which we here in N.America don't often see. Thanks also for sharing about the places in Greece that many of us may never have the blessing of visiting. Cheers...
Ευχαριστούμε Aki. Always great to showcase that Greek food isn’t always about meat. It is such stereo type. Have only made αρακά κοκκινιστό but now I can add lemonato to my list. Thank you again !
I am genetically British and Greek-American born- this may be the perfect veg dish for me! Actually I make one that has the same ingredients actually- but with the addition of tomato paste so it’s red. Can’t wait to try this one. Thanks!!
Yummy. For me, I love the version with added artichokes, which is one of my favourite vegetables. Your recipes are just amazing. Since finding them I can pass as an honorary Greek.
That recipe looks great, thanks a lot for sharing Akis. I always love it when I see a new Greek recipe from you, especially when they are without meat.
I tried this recipe today and it is delicious. Of course we also have a stew like this in Germany, but this special mixture of spices and herbs makes the difference. The lemon and mint alone are sensational. Unfortunately I couldn't get any fresh mint or dill in the supermarket, but I simply replaced them with the dried versions. Low-calorie food that you can make often.
Akis, liked the (Chinese inspired) Greek Chicken Curry, loved the (Indian inspired) Greek Pork Curry but I wait with baited breath for the (South African inspired) Greek lamb or mutton curry...
The recipe is great but without the potatoes. I am sorry, Akis, I will never accept potatoes into my lathera or lemonata veggies. I know Greek mothers love them, all my neighbors did when I lived in Athens, but in my opinion, the starch ruins the superb flavor and texture of the Greek vegetables. 😔
Another vegan greek dish. Yum! 😍Thank you for pointing out that vegetables are SUPER TASTY and HEALTHY 😀

I prefer veggie recipes, we do something similar cooked in Tagine. Yours also very beautiful and looks tasty, thanks 👌😋

This was inspirational, we eat too little vegetables, this is a great way to eat more.

Is this another version of how to make arakas latheros “Latheros means stewed in olive oil right?)
Yes, this is it, all these dishes called lathera
Hi Akis, great recipe but I am not keen on dill, what can I use instead ??
Unfortunately, it's a main ingredient of this recipe and it cannot be replaced. However, you can remove it, if you wish! 🙂
