- This is first of the three video series on basics of Microsoft Visio. Microsoft Visio is an excellent tool in Micrsoft office for diagrammatic representations of organization charts, information and workflows, flow diagrams etc. This three video series introduces you to Visio. In video 1, the visio Lingo is explained and some of the major features are covered such as Panning and Zooming, Resizing and Repositioning, Dynamic Grid, Flowchart. We also explain the benefits of Visio and its integration with other microsoft office products

If you're leaving comments to laugh at the fact that some people need step-by-step instructions for drag and drop, resize, etc, then clearly this video wasn't intended for you. Wild, I know! How could something exist that wasn't expressly made just for you?!
I teach people of all age groups with very little computer experience. Computers are not the end-all be-all of modern life. Your experience with them doesn't make you superior, nor does your eagerness to laugh at others.
Move on, let people get the help they need. Good god.

Thank you for clearly pointing out something I couldn't, for a long time, seem to express myself. Operations aren't necessarily an issue for me but I do struggle a bit on occasion, with troubleshooting. Some of the "bibles" out there (i.e., Microsoft Excel) helped me tremendously as I was able to re-enter codes and functions back into docs.

Great series. My boss just asked me out of the blue learn Visio because wanted a work flow chart done for our business process and this series is a godsend! Keep up the great work!

After seeing your video now i learned many good tips and technics which i can leverage in my daily work much efficiently. voice is crisp and technical details are lucid. I would say one of the best tutorial for VISIO learning. I saw some crap comments..I'm sure they do not know value of learning and this video. keep posting good work. it will be helpful like us to learn and lead better life.

I had set up the speed to 1.25x and the video went fine, the audio will be much better. the video is informative and it is a very good job.

I have used Visio since about 1997 but never had a course or tutorial. Amazing how much power I have neglected.
I thought this Video would be a waste of time when I started but I found I did learn a few tips toward the end so my advice is even if you know or think you know enough computer basics stick it out you might learn something useful.

Forget the haters. This is a very good tutorial. Audio quality could be improved, with nearly a million views it might be worth re-recording since by video 3 it's clear you gained some better technique.

Is there a way in Visio 2016 Standard version when using hierarchy to connect for example 20 boxes to 1 box using a connector at once instead of doing it 20 times?

+Corinth/Sindre . I recommend using keywords advance ms visio tutorial, you will be surprised with the results. Assuming you know how to type, use search and are familiar with google or a search engine. Deymn stupidity on this one.
Set the speed to 1.5x
Set it to 2x. 1.5x is for people who are too slow

background noise from halfway onwards is extremely irritating. Otherwise a very good job!
The time spent learning to use visio could be spent just drawing out the flow chart via pen and paper. The only time where this could be useful is if your drawing a hundreds of diagrams.
Same goes for Word and Excel even. Learning takes few hours... but when you learn it, things which take you so much time using pen and paper become super fast.
We all spent to much time learning to use a computer.I suppouse you do not use them
