This is long overdue functionality from Microsoft, and thank you for the excellent tutorial. I had already discovered the CFF templates in my company's Office suite but I did not know that org charts and flow charts could be constructed too, nor how to start from the Add-Ins method, so thank you for the presentation.

Love it Leila! I had suffered from making and updating org chart in excel few years ago. Don’t know why big corporation that I know still using excel 2013! Uses different adds-in such as smart-view which runs into a problem often times.
I used trial 30 day version of MindManager 2020 which is nice software (>400USD) and they improved by adding Excel Data Mapper which is map linked to excel data dynamically. After your video, I am happy to find free version similar function within office 365 subs. Thank You Leila, I liked it.

Quick question, once you pick and create an org chart and decide to change the chart type, is there a way to do this or do we have to create a new chart each time we want to change the type?
Cool feature. Great explanation, Leila. I have a Visio subscription (that I use occasionally). While viewing your video, I thought, "Hmmm, maybe I can/should cancel my Visio subscription." But, I'm going to keep it (at least for a while) because of your comment toward the end about needing Visio to modify the diagram design. I almost always want to edit the diagram design (some of us think OOB means "start here"), so I probably will want to do that if use the Excel add-in to create flow & organization charts.
@@LeilaGharani Is there any way to copy that dynamic chart? I tried but I couldn't find any know to copy it and paste it into PowerPoint. Finally, I took the screenshot and pasted it in the PowerPoint.

This might be just what I have been looking for! Used a nightmare of formulas to achieve a similar result(but way less appealing) and it was a performance killer since every step in the „diagram“ quadrupled the formula-count. This is way cleaner just hope it will work for my application, will test it out when I get home :)

VISIO does have a template to put in pictures. In fact I'm trying to find a VISIO org chart template that doesn't have the photo space LOL.

If you want to be flexible it's probably better to have the subscription. It's a great product that can be used for a variety of things.
