      eduardo jimenez I don’t get the John Money joke that Anthony liked can you explain?

    • @StateEnema
      @StateEnema 4 ปีที่แล้ว +82

      @@Eanicus @Eanicus JonBenet was a child beauty queen. She was killed in her basement and they never caught the killer. It was a crime that shocked the nation. Spade's joke was difficult because the crime was still fresh in everyone's mind and she was a child. I think he was sort of making fun of beauty pageant for kids, of how ridiculous they are and maybe the sexualization of children. Most comics would stay away from something so dark but he went there, in the 1990s. 😨 Thus the admiration from Anthony.

      I don't think they're friends, he just owes him, and feels obliged. People are lying when they say they're "not political". It's a polite way to not discuss something that could cost you a lot of money if you say the wrong things. No one is really friends with Dennis Miller anymore. Maga made that bed. It made it with hatred, bitterness, and ignorance, and anyone who helped make it will lay in it forever. Nothing will be forgiven. Yeah so many comedians have ruined themselves by getting on the hate Trump bandwagon. When the point of the "joke" is to spread a political ideology rather than be funny its not............funny. Also its basically illegal to be a Republican these days. I'm not political but you have to admit there is an obvious bias. Think about if someone criticized Biden or Clinton the way people do Trump, you'd be called a Nazi, sexist, racist and everything else.

    In 2008 my Automotive class took a senior trip to the LA Auto show. David Spade and Henry Winkler both just happened to be attending the auto show as well. My cousin, our friend who was a girl, and I spotted them eating lunch so we waited until they were done eating as to not be rude. I asked if we could get a picture with David Spade and he said yes. I asked Henry Winkler if he would take the picture of us, not knowing until I got home and told my Aunt Henry Winkler was supposed to be there too. She pulled up a current picture of him and I was really embarrassed that I thought he was David Spade's manager or something. They both were really nice and probably had a good laugh about it later.

Every year he would "craft" his new "bit" and then repeat it. Remember "Stuff". David has the quickest... best comedic mind, maybe EVER. Look how fast he quipped... "Welcome to the seance." Instead of.... "Happy to be here" an obvious dig at the set decor. Genius folks.
