Anthony Jeselnik always sounds like he’s doing an impression of Anthony Jeselnik
If you watch him on podcasts he talks pretty different so this kind of makes sense tbh
agreed lol
He sounds like John Malkovich
This is the greatest thing I've ever heard lmao
Kind of true. He's doing a character based on elements of himself.
His slow paced humour is the best for dark comedy!
Manilka Sheran Yeah, people say they like Dave Attell better, but his speed ruins his jokes I feel
Jeselnik is an evil Mitch Hedberg. Best comedian working today. Excellent misdirection comic with short sharp jokes.
@Jeff B it's a compliment to both of them. *tips fedora*
The way he takes his time, it’s him displaying his control of the crowd.
It lets what he says sink in and simmer in your mind lol
he legit did a solid 10 minute set right there
For real, this was an actual set. Looked very well rehearsed talking points.
That's the way talk shows work. 😂
damn that he planned out a 10 minute story for a burn on one guy, who he already burned. just damn!
@Ms Taylor nah. They did.
yeah i’m saying it was awesome and super clever
thanks jb. i guess technically it was like a 6 minute story. and its a story about him offering up the wardens daughter to a bunch of prisoners. whats not to get
@Ms Taylor found the wardens wife
which he probably made up
This isn’t even an actual interview it’s just Anthony Jeselnik preforming a Stand Up on Jimmy Kimmel Live
He wrote it, and it's really well-written. Who cares if he's sitting or standing when he tells it?
Comedian guests on late night shows don't come up with these stories on the spot. Most of them are telling a prepared story/anecdote. They're all doing material.
Him and every other comedian
while sitting down
As every other comedian.
exactly!
He looks like a totally different person when he smiles!
Yea, I bet he looks like a different person when he frowns too. 🤔
He looked sweet when he smiled 😊
He genuinely enjoys how funny he is. Not like a tense, uptight comedian.
If your relationship ends over some jokes, your relationship was a joke.
some cunts are just cunts, better to find out earlier than later
Word.
In his new Tinder profile it now says: "If you can't take a joke, swipe left"
I was thinking the same thing. I would never marry a girl who would leave me over satire.
@@voltiacgaming5614 Imagine breaking up over the onion oh wait that literally happened to me 7 years ago fffffffffffffffffffffff
I have watched standup for over 60 years. Jeselnik does not necessarily have the best material I have ever seen-although it is very, very good-but he has, hands down, the best timing. His pregnant pauses allow the audience to fill in the punch line, and then, he goes off on a totally separate tangent. He is brilliant.
Yep!! His delivery and his stage presence are everything!!
Never seen Jimmy Kimmel laugh this hard and for so long...
Bill Hader had him laughing like that about a month ago.
This and bill hader. One of the best comic interviews I've even ever seen. It was perfect!
Well then you've never seen him watch girls on trampolines!!!
Fake
He seemed like he was faking it a little lol
Jeselnik is just another level of class.
It's great to see darker comedians getting airtime on mainstream chat shows.
Anthony and Daniel Sloss are both killing it 👌
...and leaving a trail of break-ups behind them.
Don't forget Tosh! ^_^
@@brianmaher22 I personally prefer Anthony. It's natural. Like that's just how he is. With Tosh, it's like he is purposefully trying to be dark to get a reaction.
@@Figs3 i never considered tosh a dark comic
LOVE the Sloss!!!!
“Now keep in mind Jimmy, that’s not what I’m going to do at all.”
From here on out I spent the rest of his bit unable to stop hysterically laughing.
I fuckin love Anthony. He has the darkest humor on earth and I can't get enough of it.
Perfect delivery. Making it seem like he's just talking to Jimmy and not towards the audience.
yeah that has been getting to me in interviews lately. it was refreshing to see otherwise
“On Tv talking like it’s just you and me..” Kanye West
This is gonna go down as one of the greatest talk show storys in history.
BonbonausWurstCOD no it isn’t
I don't disagree.
Not even close. Norm MacDonald alone fills the top 100 spots. Go watch some talk shows from before 2000.
He’s one of the greatest story tellers I’ve ever heard
@@howdj I just did. I'm afraid you're just a little nostalgic my man.
The first time I heard Jeselnik he was instantly my favorite comedian
Then you NEED to watch all his specials. You won't regret it.
In the process. His roasts are unforgettable
They best living comedian BY FAR.
"my girlfriend was upset over her haircut...what is she so upset about? I'm the one who has to look for another girlfriend"
I hate to say this but can you please explain this joke?
@@nateriver2132 The girlfriend's new haircut is too horrible to the point that he can't stand it and will be looking for a new girlfriend. When he said what is she so upset about, the audience expects him to say something wholesome. But he straight up will leave the relationship over the ugly haircut 😂
This was so good, a full circle joke and expertly crafted.
I read that as ' a circle jerk'..... lmfao.
Destroying lives, one joke at a time.
WILTY Wanker
That’s why I love him!
Long may it last 👌🏻😂
Sad thing is you guys didn't get that the warden WAS a fan...and that Jeselnik thinks the warden is cool. It shows the cleverness of Jeselnik's writing, but it also shows your low comprehension skills.
your username gets me to stop scrolling every time. super clever
His recounting of this is note perfect from beginning to end. Best job of comedic storytelling I have heard on a talk show in 50 years.
I love that he calmly, clearly and with such purpose and deliberate pace, says things that people would never dare say quietly or with haste.
He’s so good at making up stories for his jokes that I can’t tell if this one’s true or not lmao
You think he made this up? I can definitively tell you he did not
@@jim2245 I mean, a ton of comedian's jokes are fake and/or exaggerated
@@jim2245 Of course he made this up.
@@jim2245 if i had to bet my bet is he made it up
He definitely just flat out makes up stories in his stand up for sure, and some of this is probably exaggerated, but he definitely went to San quentin to open for QOTSA, he talked about it before and then afterwards on his podcast, and told a pretty similar story straight after.
his story was so good jimmy didn't interrupt him once
A ten-minute-long bit with an excellent punchline. Anthony Jeselnik is a master of his craft!
In 1962 the number one person on TV was Bishop Sheen.
He was invited to give a talk at a prison
The warden warned him before he took the stage
“Listen, these are not house wives, these are hard core murders
So don’t think you can just talk to them like regular folk.”
The bishop thanked him and walked on stage and began.
“There is only one difference between me and you, you got caught.”
He got a massive standing ovation.
late to the party, but thankyou for that story
Bishop Sheen was a murderer who didn't get caught?
One of the best to ever do it.
One of my favorite comedians
Campy Camel he’s so funny definitely one of my favorites
He's a breath of fresh air in this day and time...
One of the greatest stand up comedians alive. (greatest to me).
It's so good... because Jeselnik does most of the talking.
this man is seriously a comedic and storytelling genius
I wish he did more stories in his standup
Jeselnik in top comical form as usual, can’t seem to slow down.
Simply a genius. The only comic who can tell five jokes in 30 minutes and be absolutely hysterical doing it. BTW....he's about two decibels away from sounding like Christopher Walken.
Haha he is 5 decibels away, never realised that
He sounds like a mix of cristopher walken and john c rielly
Go check interviews with John Malkovich. Same timing and delivery.
Dark comedy is like food. Not everyone gets it.
-Maduro
F*ck you.
RedoranGuard's-SkyrimBattles lmao
That’s old
@@lundenwarren2524 Who cares? It's perfect.
Dark comedy is like a kid with cancer. It never gets old.
He's not wrong about the crowds sometimes, I saw him in Chicago and this dude, who apparently was there as a last replacement with his friends, was so offended by everything he said. He was standing next to me, I finally had to confront him because I could hear him over Jeselnik. He was admonishing the crowd, calling them terrible people, etc. I finally told "do you think anyone here cares?" He got all in my face, his friends noticed came over and actually took my side, lol, 2 of his buddies took him away from me, his 3rd friend apologized and bought me a drink, he explained to me that that one guy didn't know who Jeselnik was and only came because their other friend couldn't make it. It was hilarious. Love this dude. ✌🏼
And then everyone stood up and clapped.
Being able to make other accomplished comedians laugh this hard is such a talent. Such a funny guy.
Anthony Jeselnik: My comedy ended an engagement.
Daniel Sloss: Just one? That's cute.
Pretty sure he said multiple engagements there, Daniel Sloss
But has Sloss made a whole prison full of murderers and rapists be shocked into sppechlessness?
@@BadassRandomness No, admittedly Jeselnik has that on him. But has Jeselnik ever made a religious joke in Indiana that got taken as so offensive he was threatened with a gun on the spot?
@@coena9377 Haha don't know about that. I'm just messing around haha
@@BadassRandomness I hope it was clear, so was I. I'm a big fan of Jeselnik and Sloss, both very funny men.
Such a good story
Love it how Jimmy is laughing so much 😂
Goddamn he just performed a 10 minute set on one of the most viewed tv shows and no one fuckin noticed... amazing stuff
yeah they are all stupid, just u noticed it..
I think 1 million people noticed
I don't know that I've ever seen a better constructed late night guest story than this, other than Nathan Fielder's terrifically weird stunts. This is fantastic, with a crazy-good singer of a punchline. Wow.
Anthony Jeselnik is something else. He should do the storytelling type of comedy more often
Right! His stand-up material and the style gets old real fast after seeing just one special. This video was the best footage I've ever seen of him in a while.
That was one of the greatest talk show anecdotes I’ve ever seen. What a badass comedian. And he kicks it with Queens, which is even more ultimately badass.
To be fair, if anyone takes their fiance to his show knowing that their fiance might leave them, they're pretty smart.
It's certainly an acid test for the relationship.
Pretty sure he’s joking since preference in comedy doesn’t define a person.
This guy is just awesome. That ending is something only a genius would thought of.
He's one of those comedians that are funnier in a regular conversation than their stand-ups. That's not a bad thing, that's why I love Bill Burr also.
Have you seen Burr's standup with the "gold-digging whores" and Arnold bit. That whole show is pretty hilarious
Kimmel’s laugh is so authentic. Unlike the other Jimmy.....
Both pretty fake. But it's also their job to fake laugh. So how much can one hate on that.
@@user-ky6sr5ub3g you are so right who are we to know how they laugh this hatin on Fallon pisses me off
8:09 "Catcalling". A lot of people in the audience missed that one. LOL
The timing of that ending was just perfect
Anthony is one of my absolute favorite comedians. His delivery is second to none. I also suspect he's actually a really nice guy under that persona.
I love him the first time I heard his stand up I was like 👀👀👀 where has this guy been all of my life???
Dude just sat there and did a 10 minute set! Total Boss and savage!!!
Man, Anthony's stories and comedy just get better and better as time passes.
Dark thoughts can't be anywhere but in comedy and that guy delivers so well love him
Herro
Anthony is one of the funniest comedians today 😂😂😂
If Anthony Jeselnik doesn’t perform at my wedding I’m not coming.
I'll marry you! (But only if Anthony Jeselnik will be performing at your wedding night also!)
@@Opine_Divine Oh hell be there, I mean I think I'll have to cancel the band then lol
She left you on read my nigga
*funeral
Hey little late...How your wedding
I wanna watch every segment he does on every talk show my god he’s so funny
Jeselnik is my favorite comedian working today. He tells AWESOME joke STORIES instead of lame one-liners. He is so original that I can't even think of a single comic to compare him too. But that can also be a curse. Another favorite comic of mine was the late, great MITCH HEDBERG who was so original the networks didn't know what to do with him so he never became the next SEINFELD, even though he was MUCH funnier.Hard to believe the day after tomorrow will be the 15th anniversary of his death. RIP MITCHIE!!
“I used to do drugs. I still do, but I used to, too”
Mitch was awesome
The best part of Anthony Jeselnik is that he tells “his” joke between the lines, tells the “networks joke” out front.
That is some impressive story-telling right there.
He truly is the Dark Prince of commedy
this man must be protected at all costs
I'd go to jail to watch his performance.
😂😂😂
If you want Cock I'm here ,you dont have to go to jail 😁
Unbelievable right, putting on entertainment shows in prison wtf
Or just watch it on Netflix. Don’t sweat yourself
I watch this once a week
I love this interview
ON FIRE! my favorite Comedian. Ruthless.
Lmao Jimmy loved this
Don’t like Kimmel, but have had a serious man-crush on Jesilnek since he did a roast after Greg Giraldo passed.
Clicked immediately!
First comedian that's been on this show in a long time....including Jimmy Kimmel.
Some of the best story telling ever. Period.
It’s a great stand up special. Love his humor and great story here for Jimmy
This guy is a great Comedian, both his specials on Netflix are so good.
09:11 so pround of himself...
such a good punchline!!
I love this dude!!
I love watching Jimmy totally enjoy himself and laugh so hard.
Anthony being Anthony. This is why I clicked when I saw his name.
First time I've seen Jimmy laugh authentically.
That guy has balls. He has felt the consequences before, and survived. I love his contempt for the joke police and the small mindset authoritarians. I wish he would would take on the Atlantic and Helen Lewis.
Anthony is a genius. I had to rewind this at every punch line several times just to hear what he said again cus I was laughing so hard.
Anthony Christopher Walken John Malkovich Jeselnik
Exactly, lol!
I wanna see a Josh Homme Jeselnik video. 2 of my fav celebrities.
Simply the best! Every time I see him I laugh out loud!
JRVP - 11 stitches in that ear from a blackout JeselDrunk escapade 👂😂😂😂
This interview right here is why I love Anthony Jeselnik... I'm a huge fan. God bless Anthony Jeselnik
I occasionally get back to this story every once in a while, and I always hear it like the first time.
Legendary interview
Best comedian around right now. Dude is an absolute savage.
Omg. That was epic on a different level
My goodness I can't get tired of this. Sooo entertaining
How did I not expect that punch line! I know all his material and that STILL got me. Bravo sir, bravo!
Observation - Jimmy laughs with his whole body.
Fake
That is what i was trying to get across
jimbosjams21 🤠😀😯😂🤣
I'm sure he practices in the mirror.
Man, this guy's the definition of savagery
This...is SOLID GOLD.
Every other months I have to watch that clip ! It always makes me laugh so much !😂😂😂
Jimmy is having a freaking blast here, love it! Lmfao
Perfectly executed closing line... we all know it didn't happen, but still entertaining nonetheless. (and, yes, I know he played San Q with them, I've seen the pictures... I meant the punchline)
I dunno. He had a look of extreme evil pride on his face when he said it.
He probably said it as a joke. And they both laughed
Anthony is a Professional man! Good material as always! Much respect!
He's THEE f'n BEST 🤣🤣🤣
He’s such an amazing story teller
Thats right, I'd actually prefer him telling more stories on stage instead of the one liners he usually does.
ikr
Honestly if your fiancee leaves you because you laugh at dark jokes you honestly dodged a rocket
This guy... cut from a different cloth. Genius!
All of his sets are top notch: Thoughts and Prayers, Caligula, Shakespeare, and Fire in the Maternity Ward
