nice demo. I've been the ample guitar quite a bit and I keep learning new things. It has become a composing tool for me as well as just a cool instrument. I'm going to try the Gugin as I do go for world/odd ball music. Thanks for sharing this!
I'm actually a Guqin player and incorporate it into my own contemporary rock music - I have added drum triggers to my Guqin in order to allow for interesting audio options. I"ve been looking for a Guquin plugin for YEARS and never found anything satisfactory. Additionally, I have a wide range of Ample Sound instruments already - guitars, basses, tuned percussion etc. I'm psyched that they've released a Guqin. Instant buy! BTW there is a Chinese Post-Rock band that incorporates Guqin into their music: Zhaoze. Worth a listen. Also, there are many Guqin masters music available on TH-cam. Listen to the traditional stuff and let you mind wander at the possibilities!
@@ontrada - Have not tried the NI collection. I've actually trended toward the East West samples over Kontakt. Since I'm very familiar with Ample Sound instruments, this Guqin plugin will get a full work out.
@@sirsilva7079 - I'm happy with pretty much all of the East West samples - Ihave a subscrition and there's a wide range of libraries to choose from. While there's no Guqin in Silk, the samples are all solid. For me, the value in EW is having access to everything rather than focusing on only one library, but some people have an aversion to the subscription option.
This gives me so many ideas 💡 i actually made a spacey futuristic sounding track years ago and on logic switched all the instruments to asian samples and instruments. Same midi input come out great. I have so many ideas for realistic sounding compositions as well as some electronic/dance trap hip hop, lofi songs with this ... sounds great
Fantastic walkthrough! I wonder how this compares to Native Instruments' Spotlight Collection: East Asia. They have a Guzheng and Guqin. I would imagine that they are not as flexible as this one, but I don't know.
Thank you Mike 🤟 I agree with you, it's a versatile instrument. Excellent overview you made and excellent demo too. If you can , go also watch Edmond Lord Guqin demo. It is like merging tradition and Pop music together. Cheers! - Jason
Vst's like this just blow my mind tbh like session strings. The samples and how they're used is just ❤

BTW, just checked our Zhaoze - thanks!@@relativetimeworx8459
@@relativetimeworx8459I am considering East West Silk, what's your take on it?

Great video. I really like the sound and think it could be used in many genres. Your demo track was excellent. 🤟

I can totally hear being used for electronic/dance/hip hop
@CreativeSauce totally agree 👍 sounds so great

Great little piece at the end . . I think you could cover a whole song or movie with this without it grinding on the ear . .
I think this could be a great tool for film swell as those George Harrison tracks? I would use this . .
Love it

Do they have a right handed version or am I going to have to use a mirror while playing?
