.... i remember this girl... she didnt have these tats 3yrs ago. she was high asf...she approached me near DTLA with some gibberish about wanting to " licking my eyebrows" .
I was confused.... i asked her if she needed any help etc.... she was visibly dirty, high, etc... she started to trying to get the attention of random strangers saying " hey hey! This guy right here.... good looking guy huh" ....

I had my last drink when I was 23. I am 63 now. Sobriety is not for those that need or deserve it. It is for those that want it - even if they don't fully understand they want it. I never try to guess who will stay sober and who will not. Ones I wouldn't have given a chance often make it and level-headed decent people with all the right talk often do not. I wish Izzy well. There is no problem or difficulty in life that a drink or drug cannot make worse.

If I may add something here, I'd say: I'm no expert but I was pushed by life (I'm a suicide survivor who was graciously granted a re-birth opportunity through an out-of-body experience) to understand human behavior and the most dangerous personality disorders on others' sanity: the Cluster B DSM-5 group whose core part is the narcissism trait. It seems to me that schizophenia along with other mental disorders (bipolarity, anxiety, depression, etc...) may be harmful but people suffering from them never mean to! Unlike narcissists and co. who do know what they're doing when abusing and manipulating, the other groups are oblivious to what they're inflicting to others unintentionally; they simply don't control their minds, sadly enough...🥺

I definitely think there is child sexual abuse in her early childhood. Her mother was a sex worker, and brought these men into her home. I know she said there wasn't any early sex abuse, but it's very likely that this is buried trauma. She gets physically uncomfortable denying it, and having been so hypersexual at such a young age is indicative of VERY early sex abuse. I hope she can get the therapy needed to unpack this deeper abuse. Most sex work and sex addictions are linked to extremely early sex abuse, and this includes the visual exposure her mother subjected her to of her own sexual behavior at a young age. I really hope she gets the support she needs to walk away from that lifestyle. It's dangerous and degrading. She is worth so much more than that. Keep moving up Izzy. Don't stop.❤️

My mother totally neglected me and my siblings. I never felt loved or wanted. She never took care of us in any way. She never washed our clothes or bedding, we had to get ourselves up for school and ready. We were all truant at one time or another. Both my parents had to go to court for us not going to school. Even the day they went to court we didn't go to school. I remember that day as clear as can be, it was in the winter, freezing and snowing and us kids waited in the car for like 2 hours with no heat! I can remember being about 7 years old and my little brother 5, the principal had us both in the office interrogating us as to why my big sister hadn't been to school in weeks. I can remember walking to school in the middle of winter with a dress on, bare legs with just knee socks and buckle shoes and it was absolutely freezing out with like 2 ft of snow. I froze so badly that I broke out in hives all over my body. Another time walking to school in the winter with a huge hole in my dress and the kids all laughing at me. I broke down and my teacher just held me while I sobbed and I can remember how good it felt to be held and cared for, if just for that short period of time. I am now in my 5th decade on earth and I still carry this pain and anger with me. My siblings and I all lost our teeth because we were never taught to take care of them, brush them, never taken to a dentist, only when one would become abscessed and need to be pulled out. We were out on the streets from morning til night in the summers and ate and drank whatever we wanted, mostly just pop and candy. O.K....another time I was about 8 yrs old and we were making these 'May baskets" at school which we constructed that day, flowers in a basket made from colored paper. The teacher told us to set it by our door and knock and hide when we got home. I was so excited and couldn't wait to do this for my mom. Well I set it by the door, knocked and hid close by. She opened the door and was angry, then she sees it, she said in a raised and angry voice "What the HELL is this?? That literally broke my heart! She had no love for me whatsoever. She only become tolerable towards us when we got older, in our teens. Later on in my early 20's I moved out of state with a boyfriend, I convinced my older sister to come about a year later. We always partied with beer in our teens and 20's. I don't when it happened or how it happened but my sister became addicted to pain medication. I remember she kept having all kinds of medical issues and as I look back I think a lot of the issues were just to keep getting the medication. One thing I didn't mention, my parents never worked much or held jobs for long so we pretty much were always on welfare and food stamps. Moving out of state I felt a reprieve of sorts to be far away from my past, I wanted nothing to do with it and rarely ever spoke to anyone about it. All I knew was that I was never going to be like my parents, I would work hard and hold a job no matter what and I did just that. My sister got married and had a baby and she was still addicted to drugs. I know that she felt the same way I did about our childhood and our past so I was flabbergasted when she begged our parents to move to where we were!! I look back on it and I know it was because she didn't want the responsibility of her kids all the time. She wanted my parents to move where we were and to live with her family so my mother could babysit while she was at work. I don't know how my sister's husband didn't have a problem with it! Anyway, my mom always acted like our bad childhoods never happened and would even mention on occasion that she was a good mother!!! My sister ended up having my mother lived with her family for like 20 years!!! Oh and she would talk about my mother behind her back all the time and how she would get on her nerves, etc...Crap, you're the one who wanted her here! That's what happens when you're wasted and feeling good, you make bad decisions that you regret later! Fast forward 30 something years and both of my parents are gone now but sister is still heavily medicated. She had a 6 hour back surgery 20 yrs ago and I don't have a clue WHY! She never injured her back, she said she had scoliosis but she was never diagnosed with that when she was checked at school, I was! Sorry I have written a short story here, didn't mean for it to be this long. I will never understand why people have children that cannot and will not take responsibility financially to care for them, let along nurture, care for, and love! I did my best with my 2 kids, I always worked and provided for them and most importantly made damn sure they were shown love and they were cared for in every way. Love for your children comes naturally, wanting to provide them with the best life comes naturally, so I will never understand my mother. I'm still carrying all this with me.

Yes! I love her deep understanding about working in the sex industry. There’s not something automatically wrong with anyone who willingly does work in it. Also, no one should ever HAVE to work in it, because they can’t support themselves another way, or be forced or pressured. Sex differentiates it from other jobs, in that consent is important…every time. If you don’t genuinely want to participate, expect for pressing financial concerns, it’s not consent. If you do, it is. A woman who called an agency I worked with ran into that problem with a Nevada human services worker saying she didn’t qualify because she didn’t accept brothel work. I have heard that has been ironed out. But it’s not “sex negative” to want to help girls who don’t feel happy or safe in the life. That’s beautiful.

I find this woman fascinating. I’m drawn to her! I can identify with her in many ways. Her ability to fall in love with everyone she meets, wanting that unconditional love and looking for it in all the wrong places; being let down or letting those people down. Running. Always running from something, not sure why but just wanting to disappear and out there you can be WHOEVER you want to be, recreate yourself over and over again. You can see she’s learned a lot even with the running and inconsistencies in her life. She seems brilliantly vocal, raw and real. I have THE UPMOST FAITH in human beings like her and I know she’s capable of fulfilling a purpose in this world. That brain hasn’t been put to the use it could be and I guarantee she’s got skills and talent that haven’t been explored yet and I hope she gets to experiment and physically see the potential she has, but you can see her potential. I give people like her credit bc she’s choosing better for herself even after all the time of being alone, or aloof. Even if she chose to be on her own, that shows her character, her resilience and independence..even if she’s relied on people along the way to get by it takes extreme drive to survive the way she has and I PRAY this woman finds serenity somewhere someday. She has so much to offer other young struggling kids and or addicts. I had to be forced to get clean. I needed lawyers, judges, district attorneys, and friends and family alike to cut me off, throw away the keys type of shit in order for me to get sober and I look back 19 years now and wonder if I’d be alive had I not been saved by the court/law system. Idk. I wish her luck; she’s embarking on one of the most magical journeys she’ll ever be on, GETTING CLEAN and the joy being clean has brought me is something I never dreamt about even in my good days high, they’ll never light a match next to my bad days sober.

Her fate was set in stone the second her mother decided to give birth to her. Women need to stop procreating with men they barely know, especially men that they meet in the strip club.

i watched this episode in one go. there is something about this young woman that is captivating . i mean going through so much shit and then staying so positive, i am amazed and feel love for her . It is hard to become a balanced human being when you have not experienced a stable childhood. I see her working on that and i feel inspired by her , so thank you Izzy !

Amazing. Izzy is the poster child of someone who needs to be at the forefront helping others in similar situations (e.g., her comment on wanting to help girls in these positions: she needs support and backing!). It's a rare gift to be able to articulate these issues with such clarity and from such depth and credibility.

This also struck me… with all that abuse and not going to school… how in the world is she able to articulate sensitive matter grown adults with years in recovery and age wise could? Amazing Soul, thank you for sharing intimate parts of your pain and past that not many would… or could. Thank you!🙌🏽🕊️🤍🕊️

Seems like she has repressed memories; such highly sexualized behavior and not much recollection; too painful to think of. Some memories are hidden even if one tries to recall and cannot. Bless her!
