Yes I use the 12X2 mm. I bet the 8X3 would work too if you have a small surface area on your enamel pin.

Do you find the cutting tool is being dented when cutting off the back of a pin? Just wondering, the listing on these say are not suitable for metals? Thanks!!

I have not noticed. My cutters are pretty old though so if they do become dented I will probably just pick up a new one.
