  • I've been meaning to try making my own needle minders for ages, and there's no time like the present. So with some laser cut blanks and some resin left over from dicemaking, let's see what kind of a mess we can get into!

Yeah, I am totally a broke crafter. I have 6 homemade needle minders, and only 2 purchased ones. I am now researching different methods of making more because all of mine are metal buttons that I turned into minders. Since I started watching and filming Flosstube videos I have started a lot more projects, therefore I need more minders. 😂 I love your dice!! ❤

Hey Michelle, I hated the needle minders but I loved you. You're so funny! Love your channel. See you on the next one.

Awesome sharing! These would also work as cover minders for diamonds painting!

Hi Michelle! Debbie, from Creatively Yours on YT, gave you a shout out, and I’m so glad she did. You’re a natural in front of a camera. I went back and watched all your videos, and that’s only the second time I’ve done that in three years of watching FlossTubers. My name is Juliana, not Sandy. I live near “SandyEggo”, California. 😉 Been cross stitching off and on since the 70’s. I dabbled in quilting and crochet, but finally decided more than one craft was too much $ and time, so I’ve focused now only on cross stitch, my favorite. But I love watching you multicraft. And lots of FlossTubers knit, make needle minders, etc. and show their other crafts. I, for one, love watching it all. I hope you continue FlossTubing!!! Your self-deprecation is hilarious.

Hello Juliana! This comment has absolutely made my day, thank you so much! I'm awkward with compliments and not sure what else to say but I'm just so glad you like my videos, sometimes it's hard to know if you're entertaining anyone other than yourself 😆 Multicrafting can definitely get expensive but I'm developing valuable skills in case of apocalypse! That's the current excuse, anyway. p.s. SandyEggo took me way too long 🤦‍♀️

Thanks! I'm nothing if not willing to make a total mess of our kitchen in the name of content :D

Yes it's nasty stuff for sure! We're working on turning the garage into a workshop but in the meantime we just make sure to wear a respirator, leave all the windows etc open, and set it somewhere away from where we'll be to cure. Sometimes you see people on here or TikTok working with resin in their small bedroom with no respirator and sometimes even no gloves and I'm just like 😱🤯

Love these! I've only barely played with resin & I enjoyed experimenting, but it's probably been a couple years. Gonna have to get back to it! I'd love to make some of my own needle minders, too!

It's definitely the type of craft where you make ONE thing ONE time, and then for the rest of your life you're constantly thinking of new things to try and make out of resin 🤦‍♀️

@@TheGiddyStitcher So very true! I made these little ghosties & I'm hoping to find em (we recently moved & I'm going slow about unpacking my craft room) then turn em into needle minders! Now I wanna make more resin stuff to turn into needle minders haha!

Interesting experiment with resin. Once I have some room in the garage I want to try out some resin projects.

Yay, do it! We've actually just started a partial conversion of our garage into a proper workshop so one day I'll be able to try much crazier nonsense than this. Resin is fun but fair warning: very messy!

Love the dice you previously made! I agree with your order of them, but referring to the one as 80s and bisexual made me love it more! 😄 Love your commentary too. Think I said "love" too much, but I'm just gonna roll with it..
