I can feel the haters coming, I can hear them saying "You should stop enjoying this money-grabbing free to play mobile gacha game". I like this game because of the combo mechanics, items, drivers, karts, and gliders roster, mission mode, reverse tracks, daily challenges, and the weekly challenges. It's sad that there's not much videos that highlight the game's redeeming qualities because it's a risk that people might stop watching the creators' videos just because they saw 'Mario Kart Tour' in the title. I've been playing this game for a year now without paying a single penny, the microtransactions is not at all harsh, maybe in the first few months, but they give out a lot more chances for free to play players like me to get the high-end stuff, I like how you get a free gold pipe after finishing all the cups in a given tour, this game has become a lot more free to play friendly, yes, they might put a pop-up advertising the gold pass or something but you can just easily get rid of them with a single tap, and continue on playing the game. Also, it finally has real multiplayer now, but they still try to fool people by using real players' name and badge outside of real multiplayer but I'm not really sure if they're really fooling anyone. But that was a great video, I completely agree with Nathaniel's ranking, the combo mechanics really does change the items' use, and this really is a different take on Mario Kart, I really do hope that the good features from this game come to the next mainline Mario Kart since this game has a lot of great ideas such as the combo mechanics, maybe as a side mode, and maybe borrow costume ideas from Tour and turn them into skins (something similar to Yoshi or Shy Guy color switching in 8/8DX but with actual costumes now like in the Smash Bros. series), replace mirror cups with reverse cups or maybe have them both possibly, reintroduce mission mode, and maybe have daily challenges to incentivise players to play the game daily, and maybe earn coins or maybe even power stars as a currency for buying stuff. Too Long; Didn't Read: I like Tour as a free to play player, it's free to play friendly now, and the next mainline Mario Kart game should borrow the good elements from this game.
Also this game doesn't have the music for the Mega Mushroom. In every other game this item appears it always uses that same theme from New Super Mario Bros

Hey Mario Kart fans out there, you guys should make a fan-made feature-length Mario Kart CGI-animated movie call: A Karttacular Mario Kart Movie! and the quality of A Karttacular Mario Kart Movie! needs to be both absolutely incredible and absolutely gorgeous to look at than your average low-budgeted fan-made projects these days, it'll genuinely make you feel like you're actually watching a official Mario Kart CGI-animated movie.
This game gets a lot of hate from people but I really love it! I've experienced a ton of fun with it. It gives me my Mario Kart fix so I don't need to turn on my Wii U.
About the Mushrooms in Tour: opponents are able to get a bit of speed boost if they drive directly into the Mushroom you hold behind you. So opponents CAN share your Mushroom kinda, so long as you haven't used it yet.
I only agree with the Boo and Fake Item Box. (How would a Boo Frenzy even work, though?) Crazy Eight won't be added as Lucky Seven+ provides the extra Coin the Crazy Eight includes (with 3). Golden Mushroom won't be added as a Mushroom Frenzy functions the exact same. Triple Red Shells won't be added as you throw all 3 at once, defeating the purpose of 2 of them as they just break. (I guess there could be made a case that if someone is protected by a Banana, the first Red Shell breaks it and the second can possibly then hit them, but I don't know if that would even work given how close behind each other they are and if it would even be fair if it actually worked.)
People have probably already said this but you can get the star in multiplayer and points on multiplayer count towards the grand stars on the track you play.

sorry Nathaniel, but Banana Barrels and Bullet Bills sucks, here's why: There's nothing more frustrating than having a nice combo going only to then be destroyed by your own bananas (especially when the space is narrow or if there's a turn, if you get both scenarios... yeah) Bullet Bills aren't good because they don't give us points while being used, like how the Bubble or your Glider's "Glide Time" do. So if you're in last place while still maintaining a combo, however unfortunately have the unluck to get a Bulley Bill, well, down goes your combo (yes, I know it's possible to control it, but it's reaaaally not that good) imo Dash Ring and Fire Flower were strangely low and Mushroom Cannon was also a bit too high (note in case of misunderstood: no, I'm not mad and I'm not hating on Nathaniel, it's just my opinion)
I feel like this list is more fun to use than things that'll help you win/get points. I mean almost everything is like... factually wrong. Horns for example are terrible because it' so hard to hit anything with them and looking behind you is a lot harder due to the controls. If you want to put it in frenzy it's even worse because you get no bonus for it. Bullet Bill doesn't keep combo at all and you can't get a item in its slot until it's gone similar to the bubble so it actively *harms* you, while at least the bubble gives you points constantly. (The bubble is still bad though.) Just a lot of little things that are just 'uhhh'
Next thing you know... NEW ITEM! TELEPORTER! IT WILL SEND YOU ALL THE WAY TO FIRST PLACE! YOU CAN ONLY GET IT IN 12th AND YOU HAVE A 0.1% CHANCE OF GETTING IT.
Seeing all these item, tracks, characters and karts just make me sad that these are in mk tour and not 8 deluxe Heres hoping mk9 will be similar in terms of ongoing content

Mario kart tour is my favorite of the series because it updates every 1-2 weeks witch means the game never ends
