Mikael said that Still Life is a pretty hard record for singing and playing at the same time and he was right. I've never seen Opeth do these kind of mistakes before, but still... It is a FUCKING masterpiece.
Thank god some one agrees... Still Life is an absolute Surreal experience of an album, if you liked that album bud, you should check out blessed he with boils by Xanthochroid. They are a new band now from surprisingly enough, California, that have a ton of opeth influence as well as a prevalent use of classical. Completely worth a listen.
@@JsHolgersson I'm a bit surprised about this to be honest. I knew the languages had similarities, but to speak it freely on stage and the others to understand you, that's next level.
Although, in all fairness, both languages are incredibly similar in structure and sound. Makes it kind of easy to communicate in both countries if you know one of their respective languages.
Two masterpieces. Still life is the greatest album of all time, and morningrise is absolutely essential in the band's history as well
5:15 one of their best acoustic parts

The bass is so badass
Martín López, excelente y con sabor latino...¡¡Viva!!
I wish that Mikael could still growl like that! Best growl in metal by far. Anyway thanks for the upload and subtitles.
With all respect to the players that replaced them, I wish this was still the same lineup and opeth today. Fuck I miss it
i was privileged as hell to see that lineup
the best Opeth line-up. I'm glad to have seen them into Deliverance tour and Ghost Reveries twice. The bound between Michael and Peter was unique.

Does Mikael speak Norwegian? or did he speak Swedish hoping people would understand him
@@nathm2854 He speaks Swedish here, I'm pretty sure most Norwegians understand Swedish, our languages are very similar :)

***** He is speaking Swedish.
