fr. ruiz, is the aramaic manuscript, vatican folio #140, discovered by joseph assemani in the chaldean patriarchate in 1718 and taken to the vatican, does it still exist? the colophon of the 4 gospels say that it was written during the 3rd bishop of edessa in the year of the greeks 389, or 78 ad. was this lost? or is it still in france after being stolen by napoleons troops?

Hi there...thanks for posting...The Apocrypha is useless for doctrine...The Holy scriptures specifically tell us that after the captivity and ignoring His Messengers (see 2 Chron 36:15) "no remedy" & until the coming of Elijah (see Malachi 4:5) "John the Baptist" there would be no prophets for us. Ezra and Nehemiah were not prophets. Cheers.

In any case...you guys should be speaking in Latin...why talk in English, the protestant language, and call them out as heretics? Methinks the boot is on the wrong foot.

the new testament would be incomplete or hard to understand without the deuterocanonicals such as the maccabees and sirach. the jews removed the deuterocanonicals for the simple reason of denying the messiahship of Jesus
