Very helpful video. While supplies are a bit more accessible, they are still in short supply. It took me 2 months to get my nebulizer. Another tip I have heard is if we do get a breathing treatment at the doctor or hospital, ask to take the kit home with you. Bring it home and wash it, and then store those for backups/emergencies.

This doesn’t and cannot work. when the tubing is immersed in the soapy or the clean water, liquid will enter into the tubing only maybe an inch or so. The rest of the tubing will remain dry (and contaminated). To apply a cleaning or disinfecting medium to the entire length of the inside of the tubing, while immersed in the liquid, has pressurized air/liquid introduced into either end of the tubing. Only then can the inside of the tubing be cleaned or disinfected. The pressure can be introduced using a syringe or the rubber ball of a turkey baster (or something like that.

I was told by my technician not to put the nasal part into water as it could go down the tube ..!! Wipe the nasal par gently with soapy cloth and also says it in the booklet ..but would make sense to me to be abl to remove the nasal part to clean to avoid anything going down the tube ..

DO NOT PUT IT IN WATER. Throw it away after 2 weeks or so. Wipe the prongs with a damp cloth every day.

I need help on this part
It would be very helpful for me if you reply to this query
"Me and my family had just recovered from covid 19. My grandmother is an asthama patient. We have an oxygen concentrator at our home. A friend of mine asked for this concentrator as his grandfather suddenly started feeling breathlessness. I had to give it to him. But the problem is that the family of my friend is probably infected from covid 19. No2 when he returns me the machine how do I take it back from him ? And what measures should I take whenever I take it back from him ?"
It would be very helpful if you solve this problem abd give me a piece of advice

I am not a medical professional, and this is a comment from a year ago, but we are still in these desperate times. Ideally, only one patient should be using the equipment to avoid cross contamination like this, but I know again it's desperate times. This is from the CDC about how long Covid-19 survives on surfaces:
Data from surface survival studies indicate that a 99% reduction in infectious SARS-CoV-2 and other coronaviruses can be expected under typical indoor environmental conditions within 3 days (72 hours) on common non-porous surfaces like stainless steel, plastic, and glass.
That's for the Covid-19, but keep in mind, we all have bacteria that live in our airways. For healthy people, this bacteria is harmless, but for the elderly or people with compromised immune systems, like people recovering from Covid, this bacteria can make them sick. I would wipe the outside of the machine with a disinfectant wipe, and allow the machine to "air out" for as long as possible, at least 3 days. Clean or replace what parts you can. And again, respiratory machines should only be used by one patient, but I know, treatments and supplies are in very short supply, and these are not normal times. I hope they are all recovered now!

Not if use a light bleach solution that will sanitize everything completely. And if it is hung vertically all will dry out completely and be sanitized. Such a throwaway society we live in and the companies who make these things like Johnson & Johnson just gobble up the money. Why even watch the video on how to clean it then?

Covid I've had it bad , in hospital 3weeks , thought I was going to die , I wouldn't take a chance of getting Covid again . Still not well , on oxygen since March .
