I've found turning the connector counter clockwise is faster and easier than disconnecting the tubing to remove tangles and kinks. We used to disconnect the tubing and run it between our hands several times, twisting it counter clockwise allows the tubing and cannula to remain attached.
For tech questions I would contact your oxygen provider. The vents on the back should be wiped with a micro type cloth a few times a week. Also, follow the 12x12x12x12 rule meaning it should not be within one foot of a wall or furniture and should be plugged directly into a wall outlet.
Thanks for this video, it really helped me to understand the difference. As a previous nursing student, they rush everything and you feel so overwhelmed with information and at times they don't teach you none of this stuff. #BabyNurseHere.
What if it beeps and then shuts off with the power switch still in the on position? I flipped the power switch into the off position and then back into the on position and the green light came on after five minutes. I think it overheated and auto shut off? At what temperature causes it to do this?
Thank you so much this is so informative I'm a first time user although the techtry to explain it to you you need something to relate to and look back on I wish they would give you something like this to look back on and refer to
There one thing: be sure the voltage is right. I got one in Peru that uses 220 volts. I took it to Costa Rica and tere is just 100 volts. Theplugs looks the same and I had to read the fine print but thank God it works now with 220.

Doubt this will get a reply as the vids old but My father has this exact machine. The yeloow light comes on but no alarm goes off, if we shut off the machine then turn it back on the light goes away for about 5-10 minutes then comes on again, no alarm. What should we do or what could be the causes of this. We dont want to be a bother to the "air people" and wouod rather solve from home if possible
Air inlet filter needs to be changed ? At what interval ? Also there are three metal cylinders inside box and one more thicker cylinder inside. What are they ? Do they also needs to be changed ? Mother is using since Jan 2020. Pls reply.
The three metal cylinders are the sieve beds. They filter all the other gases from the air and leave almost only oxygen. If you're getting low oxygen levels, changing those will almost definitely solve the issue. The other thicker cylinder is the compressor, which pumps air into the sieve beds.
@@vincebrown255 Thanks for responding. I borrowed an Oxygen concentrator for my Dad who was had breathing difficulty post Covid. It was constantly giving the buzzing sound which disrupted his sleep. We then had to get oxygen cylinders for giving his external oxygen support. A few days later, he was put on ventilator and on 6th of June, he passed away. He lost the battle with Covid. We miss him a lot, still can't believe he is not among us 😪
I am having a problem using the humidifier bottle all of a sudden. I have water drops from the unit into my nose piece and some times feel like I'm drounding. I've had sore throats for months. Has anyone had this problem or know how to fix it?
You need to get a water trap, your insurance probably won’t cover it. It’s a tube that sets between the cannula and supply tubing that catches excess water. Vaseline can help with the nose. Good luck
You may be putting too much water. But as the previous comment mentioned, a water trap is very useful. If you need 6 lpm+, then you'll need a high flow humidifier bottler and proper tubing.
Ok so, Im a delivery tech and my question is: where does the concentrator get the power to prompt that beeping sound if it actually looses power. I tested some and the only one that did not beep during power loss was Drive 5 LPM. So where does the power come from for it to even be able to make a sound?
There is a capacitor attached to the motherboard that supplies power to the beeper. The Drive concentrators' capacitors die after awhile, so they would need to be replaced to fix the issue, which will involve soldering.
All concentrators get loud after awhile....warning systems should be optional since even ""small sleeping kids" have to have oxygen. The only NECESSARY ALARM on them should be to alert if it quits making 02.
I had a O2 concentrator just like that one. I put a "Light bulb timing device" in on a different breaker and the red light came on with it's beep. I restarted it numerous times to no avail. Insurance company got me a new one and it did the same thing. I removed the timer, and the machine works just fine. Any idea what the connection would be there? I've been an electrician for 40 years and I got no explanation.
Hi. Please can you help me, i have a problem with the flow meter: the black ball is blocked at the top and don't move up and down when turning the flow button.
You can try changing the filter on the back of the machine. Open the door on the back there is a plastic filter that needs changed after so many hours of use. You will need to contact your supplier for the filter.
how does it make oxygen? where does this oxygen come from, does it have to be filled with water, does it break the hydrogen hydrogen mecules or what? thank you
Hi! What about if the red alarm sound and when i turn it on and off the alarm also stops but then adter a few minutes the red alam is back again? Please help.
I wish I would have been given any type of information with my condenser. I had a kink, no alarm went off. It has been running for a couple of weeks and my O2 has been kind of bad (I didn't know why) - then the unit had an alarm and the water Level was low on the calendar in the front. I didn't know why so I used the manual tank and a few hours later I called Aprea and they said to go to TH-cam and watch the tutorials. I found out how the water cylinder in the front tells you the number for the oxygen level. Who knows what I have been running it on for weeks!!!! probably six!!! I didn't get a sign for my door, I didn't get any information at all. oh and then I was told to change the filter. on you tube it shows taking The Whole unit apart. I am not going to do that. It doesn't belong to me. when I got a hold of the company (by the way they are super nice) the unit reset itself and they cylinder was full again and from TH-cam information I set the unit to 2.
Great informative video, with easy resolutions.

Probably too late to help you but you need to replace the flow meter.
What about the purity level? I believe it has to be >90%. What do we do if it doesn't go beyond 30%?
replace zeolite into the Bed tanks

Sieve beds guaranteed need to be changed if you're only getting 30%
Also, in this machine we found air inlet filter plus Humidifier connector tube. How we can use this?
You can watch this for unboxing and connecting a new EverFlo device. th-cam.com/video/KCDJkm00_f8/w-d-xo.html
Is there a fuse in this machine?
Yes
thank you for the video
how does it make oxygen? where does this oxygen come from, does it have to be filled with water, does it break the hydrogen hydrogen mecules or what? thank you
No water necessary, just plug it in and turn it on. It uses zeolite swing adsorption to separate the oxygen from nitrogen.
My mom is using one, started making a whistle sound from the back, any idea what could that be?
If it's a short high pitched whistle check the humidifier for one example it will do that if there's a kink anywhere in the tubing
Is humidifier bottle necessary? We recently purchased from US, we hv not received the humidifier bottle...
humidifier use for some conditions like asthma but wont effect for Oxygen dose, you can buy humidifier tanks online there is many cheap types
No it's not. My mom has used them for over ten years no you didn't not. Just might cause a nose bleed that Is going to happen anyways.
