Proud member of the black gen one club! Black 68’ RS/SS. They just seem to look best in that color! My brother has a blue with white stripes 69’ very similar to your son’s car, very nice looking as well.
i did the same thing your son did , swapped a automatic for a Muncie 4spd and never regretted it .NPD has quality parts for muscle cars ,i buy from them
Love your sons car and that he used it as a daily driver. That's the way to really enjoy it. But tell him to be careful where he parks it. I used mine that way in the 80's and it got vandalized. It wasn't too bad, and at lest it wasn't stolen. But it still bothers me to this day. Fun is the name of the game after all. So go out and have some with it....but be careful with your baby. The way I do now, as one first gen. guy to another. Great color too!

@@keepitsimplegarage-xp1kk A hidden kill switch will go a long ways as most younger thieves are after late model efi stuff. Hid mine under the shifter boot couldnt tell if I switched it on or off when I parked. I figure thieves watch for that stuff. Hagerty ins is real cheap too I hear they now make inline fuel shut offs that work off a keyfob gotta find one.
Like the fact that u spend time to help out ur son building cars ....the blue is good color but i think the black color makes it look more menacing....✌️

I mainly like working on first gen Camaro’s because I have two suppliers so I can usually get the parts I need the same day most of the time so it makes it very easy for me. Hey I just have to comment again. I'm retired now and don't have many people to talk to now day's my age. I'd like to tell you my story with my one and only Camaro if you want to hear it? I bought her when I was 19 I'm 66 now, on June 14th 1977 at about 2:pm I had to be to work at 4:00 pm from my next door neighbor, a girl. I needed a beater to pull a motor cycle trailer because I was getting into motocross at the local track. She just happened to have it up for sale at the time for $400.00 so I bought it. I would have bought any car at that point. It just happened to be a 69 RS. Never used it to go racing, but started to restore it. Then she became more important than motocross, which didn't work out. I did win a couple street drags back in the day. I dated my future wife in it and she was in among the wedding cars that day in 91. Bought my first born son home in it. He's 30 now and I will leave it to him when I'm gone. She's more than a car to me, she's a family member. In my opinion the greatest car Chevy ever made.......Now am I a Camaro guy, or what?? LOL P.S. good luck with toasty I'll be sure to watch!

Hi AL,I didn't se your latest vid today. Maybe you were too busy to make one today and that's OK, I get it. But I just got to tell you I went to Madison today and there was a 71 Chevelle in front of a restaurant they were using as a lawn ornament I guess. I couldn't believe it. It was a little rusty looking but I didn't have time to stop I was going somewhere. It was on the grass against some bushes. It was the strangest thing! I have to get back over there soon.....I get such a kick out of telling you young guys about some of my early memories. Talk later!

Best looking factory wheel late 60s, think the Big 3 all used them, or their version Even the AMX did. Late 80s had a 69 SS350 was my sole daily put close to 100 mi a day on nit never had the valve covers off. Great car never had a problem with it.

Love the blue. I was thinking, this channel is a great advertisement for your hobby. Buying flipped cars is a very scary prospect. You generally see it done and some people don’t have a good opportunity to inspect a purchase top to bottom and that is a must. Pics don’t really give a real description of the condition. We can see what you’ve done to Toasty. Where it started and progressed. I’d feel much better buying Toasty than many other flipper car lots. So many horror stories of cars that aren’t even worth fixing after spending maybe 20k+$. 😬

Toasty has a factory clock , i have never seen one that kept the correct time 🕒Al let me know how that one goes
