In 5 days the villagers managed to harvest the fields with hand tools, dig tunnels under the village and train to fight, forget the grain just hire the villagers and within a year they will have built the death star... i mean "battle moon".
I was left baffled at the how and why Nemesis died as well as Titus knowing the princess is alive when in the first movie he was a drunken coliseum fighter wishing for death being void of all hope until he “You son of a bitch, I’m in.” Memed to fight with Kora.
I didn't get why the whole moon didn't band together...why is only one village being held hostage to deliver the grain? If you can build a giant spaceship like that you'll need more than one village's worth of food to last a week! And well its such a common trope of Seven Samurai that it would have been more interesting if you started with all the origin stories in Part 1, Part 2 is a time jump with her being on the run and the Empire being worse. Then they meet each other and kick ass...the whole story is just off.
Michael Bay is far from perfect, but he's so much better than Snyder and less pretentious.....I only have ever liked 5 of Zack Snyder's movie's and that hasn't changed

If he's to be believed, Snyder said he had thought of this when he was 10. So it's Snyder's 10 year old self's star wars fanfiction lmao, it would definitely explain the quality
Snyder has definitely taken the crown for bad movie making firmly away from Uwe Boll. It's absurd that a colossal coal powered spaceship is sent to pick up a delivery of maybe 100 bags of flour, or is it grain? I say this because when they're bagging the grain up into sacks, grain goes down the shoot, but they clearly fill the bags up at the other end with flour! Even the bowl cut bad guy refers to it as grain. I'm guessing in this 'Snyderverse' flour is as rare and essential to space travel as the Spice Melange is in Dune. lol. I think we should all start referring to Snyder ss Boll Zack 😛
i didnt like all the time spent with the reaping of the grain, I didnt see very much depth in the way the story was put together. The choreography of the fighting was like practice trys before a real shot but the real shot never shows. It great acting, great special effects but just seems someone didnt throw it all together correctly. I dont know if it was Snyders fault or if the studio screwed with it.
I also can't really blame the actors. It seems like they did the best with what they had. Even if you are a great actor you can't carry a bad script and editing. Titus, Nemesis, and Jimmy I think had potential to be interesting characters, but their potential was squandered and the actors never had a chance to really do much with them since they often ended up in the background. Korra could have been a compelling character too with some changes to her and how her backstory was presented. But Rebel Moon is an interesting film to pick apart and discuss what not to do.
I was so disappointed with part one (I can honestly say there wasn't a single element of the movie I enjoyed) that I have zero interest in part two.i cannot remember when I likes a movie less than part one.
You almost said "electric boogaloo!" I have long held that any movie that has any iteration of "Part 2" in the title should be REQUIRED to add electric boogaloo. Think about it!
"it's derivative of Star Wars" ... duh! That's because it was supposed to be a Star Wars movie. Snyder literally pitched the story to George Lucas just before it was sold to Disney. I can't believe this is a criticism by so many people.
There's LOADS of MORE TALENTED UP AND COMING FILMMAKERS Out There THAT Simply CANNOT Get Their Films FINANCED, All The While THIS MOTHERFUCKER Was GIVEN $86.000 000 By NETFLIX!
I actually absolutely love Army of the dead and the prequel to Army of the Dead and I'm actually looking forward to the third movie in the army of the Dead franchise whenever or if that ever comes out
Your the only youtube critic who hasn't said this movie was worst. Everyone else has been saying Rebel Moon 2 is way worse. It even has a lower rotten tomatoes score
I dont wanna hate the guy but this is self-indulgent, dumb and just lazy on a scale where i cant be sure it's not parody. The worst film this year is Madame Web, but this is so close.
I also realised what in part makes the characters so dull. There's no humour, not one ounce. Star Wars, Star Trek, Guardians of the Galaxy, heck even Dune to some degree has a bit of banter with characters. Here they are all so serious. Humour / banter makes it easier to relate to characters.
There's a reason his movies are on Netflix. He's so terrible that all he can do is use slow motion to try to build tension and drama in a scene. When is Hollywood going to stop giving this hack money
I recommend folks save their time and just watch _Battle Beyond The Stars_ instead. It's almost the exact same movie, just with more engaging characters, better pacing, and it's only one lean movie instead of two bloated ones.
I don't think making two movies, one PG and one R-rated, is a bad idea. But that would make more sense if it was shown in cinemas. Then the parents could go with the kids and watch it. And if the premise was good, the adults would go and watch it a second time in full R-rated glory. Me being 45, I grew up with exaggerated R-rated action movies, and that's the kind of entertainment I expect and want. These PG-rated wannabe toy commercials give me a dull taste every time. It's like drinking pure liquor but without the alcohol. When I watched the first one, I almost immediately forgot about it. When I saw that number 2 was up, I first felt intrigued, but what a nonsensical, cardboard-written (probably AI) story and stale characters it was. I got annoyed by the story and the over-the-top evil for no reason villains. But if Snyder releases an R-rated version, I will watch it because I'm starving for violent entertainment.
Watchmen and The Snyder cut were weird, but not total disasters like this. It's too bad. As terrible as it is, I'd still rather watch Rebel Moon than something totally AI generated.
Everything about Snyder is an excuse train... I wanted them to be rated R... ok would the characters still be wooden and hollow? The studios made me make two different versions.... why? Did the original idea, maybe, just maybe, just suck? This is a guy who got rejected by George Lucas, not a studio but the head creator of the thing he's ripping off. So for me, he's the problem and no amount of excuses or 'wait till the next one' or 'release the Snyder cut' can excuse him.
I like most of snyders movies ! Yea he’s not great at storytelling and flushing out characters ! I accept that he is a visual director and I think he tries to show his movies through visuals only ! So his movies don’t disappoint me the way they do with some people ! You either like his stuff or don’t ! And I totally understand people not liking his stuff ! But I tend to like mostly what he does ! Of course he is no Francis ford Coppola or Martin Scorsese ! But to be fair I never thought he was trying to be that kind of director ! I’m not here to defend him or hate on him like some ! I just think he’s ok at what he does ! And sometimes it works with a lot of people and sometimes it doesn’t ! And I def wouldn’t reccomend this movie to people ! As it does have lots of problems with pacing and character development ! But it didn’t hate it , but I didn’t love it either ! I actually preferred part 1 over part 2
Before I saw any reviews I started watching the first season. I stopped halfway through the first episode because it was boring and cheesy in kind of a B rated movie way.

The first one was a complete failure. I left the living room halfway through to find something else to do.
dawn of the dead : you are joking? Running zombies with superpowers f**k no !
I was so disappointed with part one (I can honestly say there wasn't a single element of the movie I enjoyed) that I have zero interest in part two.i cannot remember when I likes a movie less than part one.
I told that it could not get any worth but he may me believe that it suck even worse than the marvels I can’t believe I said that
You almost said "electric boogaloo!" I have long held that any movie that has any iteration of "Part 2" in the title should be REQUIRED to add electric boogaloo.
I just loved the coal powered star ships. I really think NASA can go back to the moon like yesterday!
I actually absolutely love Army of the dead and the prequel to Army of the Dead and I'm actually looking forward to the third movie in the army of the Dead franchise whenever or if that ever comes out
Before the release of these two films, I considered Snyder an underrated director. Now I think he's overrated.
How could Zach Snyder have been underrated lmfao
@@coltongates7397 For me, yes. Watchmen fan.
@@vi8799 he got to helm films for some of the biggest existing IPs in history in Batman v. Superman and you considered him underrated?😹
Your the only youtube critic who hasn't said this movie was worst. Everyone else has been saying Rebel Moon 2 is way worse. It even has a lower rotten tomatoes score
Watching this, I hope people can look back at similar, better made movies like Avatar or Star Trek Insurrection with more respect
I dont wanna hate the guy but this is self-indulgent, dumb and just lazy on a scale where i cant be sure it's not parody. The worst film this year is Madame Web, but this is so close.
I disagree. I think Madame Web clears this movie with flying colors.
I've deffo tuned out after #1. It was hilariously stupid. I'm sure AI is going to be able to write scripts... but it's not there yet.
AI is gonna be the entire Netflix film catalog in a few years.
This is normally my type of film. I didn’t even finish the first movie, it was that bad.
I won’t even be attempting to watch the second part.
The backstories are just unbearable to watch
They should have done this as a series that would make it better maybe best!!!
I love knives lady 😂😂 they could of expanded her but No
His watchmen was pretty good. Might even be my favorite
Slo-motion guy now on steroides
I like Sucker Punch. Wasn't great, but it was entertaining.
Snyder didn’t direct Army of Darkness lol.
Watchmen and The Snyder cut were weird, but not total disasters like this. It's too bad. As terrible as it is, I'd still rather watch Rebel Moon than something totally AI generated.
Star wars? this is a STRAIGHT copy of Seven Samurai.
Yeah, I'll just watch Dune part 2 again.
Please no more boss babe movies.
This one of those movies that you would find in some indonesian motorest.
Sucker punch was amazing!!!!!
Paul W. S. Anderson > Zack Snyder
It's number 1 in Canada so some people like it lol
Sucker punch didn’t suck lol
I really enjoyed it…
i love zack snyder movies, but he really need to focus on visuals and leave writing to someone else, his netflix movies have been shit
Army of Darkness??? You mean Army of the Dead?
I enjoyed it
Zack Snyder Sucks Big Space Balls
Why is synders excuse always i made my own cut which is better than the the one i put out
It was Netflix’s idea, thinking they could copy the Release the Snyder Cut fervor from a few years ago. Corporate Minded Stupidity.
Aside from 300 and Superman: Man of Steel, Zach is a terrible director
If you like this movie you should have your brain checked
I liked it
Before I saw any reviews I started watching the first season. I stopped halfway through the first episode because it was boring and cheesy in kind of a B rated movie way.
Skibidi
Skibidi
Bop bop yes yes
Zack Snyder sucks.
welp hey you got your 'anti-woke Star Wars' 😆
Your wrong. The movie is good
His wrong what?
Number one in 85 nations. So GTH. You are pay to come for Zach
It's still a piece of shit. Even if lots of people watch it
