If you're looping from 5 gens to 0, your killer's just braindead. Either smash the pallets, or give up the chase and find someone else to bother.

As the Surv finds another loop while you smash the pallet... and find someone else to bother = so they can loop you some more as soon as they see you coming, rinse and repeat? The fact that the power role in this game has to abandon loops because they're so time consuming illustrates that there is an issue.
@@libertyprime9307 The RNG on pallet placements needs to be adjusted, I don't disagree, but people seem to believe that you can infinite like 100% of the time and that's just nowhere near true.

No one is overpowered. They all have their advantages and disadvantages. Also the only way your winning a match in dead by daylight as killer is if the survivor make mistakes. And nurse isn’t op. She takes a lot of time to master her ability and that goes for all.

Make Your Choice, NOED and the Spirit perk do let you one-shot. But you're correct that his assessment of DBD, outside of easily accessible facts, is/was hilariously bad.

It's a perk for whenever the killer hits you or another survivor you won't get the indication where he or she is. Indeed it is a frustrating perk as you literally will have to use your best judgement if that pursuit is happening nearby you.

To be fair. The nurse is only OP to most because DBD is so chase focused. You play stealthy against a nurse and she can do nothing until the exit gates are powered.

You forgot to mention that each Jason has their own strengths and weaknesses, making choosing your Jason more important, and depending on how you want to play. Such as: if you're part 8 against people with low speed and stamina, you will probably win. If you play as a Jason such as part 2 or 3, your shift is lower, making it harder to catch a counselor with high speed and stamina, such as Bugzy.

While watching through this I caught a lot of facts and images that were used incorrectly. Using a DBD image that said Friday the 13th while talking about Friday the 13th when it was indeed DBD's. Killer's being OP when Survivors clearly hold the reign for us DBD players. Characters having 4 unique perks, they only hold 3 each. Saying survivors were unique, when infact all perks can be shared among each other.
Though I like how you separate the two as I can agree that their differences are between the casual and competitive, I also believe that there were some things over looked in Friday the 13th. As I don't play Friday the 13th since it lost me on launch week, I appreciate your insight but it was an extreme bias that defeated this video for me. Watching this was fruitless as you demonstrated an undying love for the game without anything objective to separate your reasoning. It wasn't a video of DBD vs F13 rather than it was I love this more for the fun factor.
Even if this was your opinion your title asks me, "Which is better?" to which I had thought there would by some statistical data other than meta critic. Such as current player base, scandals, fandoms, ect. You didn't answer the question. You click baited me. I'm heart broken now.

TydeTyme not quite the same since Friday over came it's glitches and even has a couple of new modes.
Dead by Daylight, all they get is a new killer, survivor, and a map. There's nothing wrong with that it's just noticeable between the two
TydeTyme you can claim unbias all you want, but the fact that you openly admit you quit playing F13 on launch week shows your bias. As for me, I am biased in Favor of F13 over Gay by Daylight and can admit it, but at least I can justify why. GBD in my opinion has crappy graphics and environments, whereas F13 has put a lot of detail into their graphics and environment. The fact that GBD had to obtain rights to include Michael Myers, Freddy, Leatherface, and Pighead should speak volumes as they can't even keep up with the competition who has primarily one theme and one killer in various variations. Also, I can't imagine how frustratingly boring it would be to play as a killer in GBD, especially when survivors are so OP. Yes, Jason is OP compared to counselors in F13 by intentional design, because he's a superhuman killing machine, but he can be beat and I've literally witnessed rounds where Jason's did not get any kills despite being developed to be an OP killer.

What do you mean the killers are op?? The survivors are 100% the op ones here. They have soooo many ways to drag on a chase its ridiculous. Pallets, windows, sprint burst, dead hard, lithe, you name it. And the killers cant do anything about it other than to keep chasing
AKA hen almost all the killers all have ways to avoid looping. Huntress, nurse, trapper, hag
Trapper and Hag are bad at countering looping, sure, they're more productive than lets say Myers, but you rarely see them in high ranks for a reason. Nurse and Huntress are the only viable two.

Valkari if you can play trapper well looping wont be a real problwm. Doctor is another good counter for it
I wouldn't say Billy is good against looping, his main huge feature is map control.

Little Nugget i was talking about the Cannibal (Leatherface) and the Hillbilly, not about other killers. Thought, that's what is fun about Dbd, the killers have all completely different playstyles so i totally agree!

I felt a little pissed off when he the hillbilly was just a disfigured chainsaw wielding cannibal! he clearly hasn't read the bio's. never once does it say the hillbilly has eaten someone. they always mention the killer being a cannibal in the bio.
also, he called the trapper 'the hunter' which also is a nitpick of mine. because there's a difference between a hunter and a trapper, it's in the name for Pete's sake. the Trapper mainly relies on traps! you don't go calling the huntress the trapress because her main thing is actually hunting them. it's not interchangeable. I know it's a nitpick but it just annoys me, it's like when someone calls the doctor 'doctor who'.

Biggest deal breaker for me is the fact that you have way more freedom in F13 compared to DBD.
In F13 you have many methods of escape as Survivor, many methods of killing as Jason, and all the maps are taken straight from the films (and the music too).
In DBD you only have 2 methods of escape, only two methods of killing (one you do way more often than the other), and all the maps feel like Paintball/Laser Tag Arenas.
Last Point that i'm surprised he didn't mention:
Although it's very difficult and time consuming, it is possible in F13 to kill Jason.
3 methods a game in F13 is only one more method 2 cars plus cops if theirs a boat theirs only 1 car and cops is optional on every map and as Jason you can place traps and hear anything going on around the map so it’s just as difficult to escape IMO unless it’s just a trash Jason which can happen but an experienced Jason it’s damn near impossible to escape

every killer can be overpowered when you don't know how to counter him E.g. my rank 1 friend tells me (rank 15/14) that Freddy's OP and doc is ezz to play against while i think quite the opposite as I'm just more used to countering Freddy as I don't know how to counter electric shock and are able to just escape from freddy
Jason feels more like a force of nature in that game than the killers in DbD. In Friday The 13th, when Jason shows up, you get genuine fear, panic, and excitement. In Dead By Daylight, when a killer shows up, you get tea-bagging and flashlight clicking. Friday The 13th is more tense as a survivor and fun as a killer, for sure.

wich one has the best horror? I have only played DbD, it feels like there is not much horror to it.
I thought Dead by Daylight was pretty scary when I played it, but F13 isn't very scary, unless Jason gets the jump on you. I think DbD is spookier too. The environments are a lot creepier. But subjective is horror, I guess.
It's the same for both games. I feel that Dead by Daylight is a bit harder though.

ross sutton F13 has more replay value, but DbD is actually playable most of the time.
Most people who play DBD agree that it’s much easier to play as a survivor than killer. Survivors have three extremely overpowered perks (Self-Care, Borrowed Time, and Decisive Strike) that any survivor can eventually learn. Couple that with pallet looping, flashlights, and Survive with Friends and the high ranks of DBD are rough if you main killer.
Jason is much more overpowered in F13 than the DBD killers are. Only extremely good Nurse and Hillbilly players come close.

I rhink Michael is the best just because the add ons he gets with unlimited evil within 3 where he one hits is faster in alot of action then his tier one. But with his tier one add on he cant go over tier one but when he stalks he can see survivors auras through any obeject with a certain range
totally not. With scratched mirror he sure can find them, but he can never chase them to death if they have eyes. He's too slow. Gainin EW for unlimited tier3 is going to take almost whole match if survivours are good at their job.

In my opinion the lore and character development of the f13 roster outshines dbd without competition tbh, plus the executions in f13 makes killing more fun and not as stale as in dbd where its pretty much the same, just with different weapons :P

Pokemon Trainer Oswaldo In DBD you're constantly leveling up and having a use for your Blood Points once you get every kill, and a great perk set in F13 CP becomes useless. So that at least makes it a bit more replayable. From. a gameplay perspective the killers all play differently outside of hooking survivors and if you get bored of that you can just switch to survivor and just focus on repairs and jukes.

IMO jason is way stronger then any killer in dbd due to his constant wallhacks and insta kills.Yes the killers in dbd are powerfull but the more you play the more you relize they are not as strong.A perkless survivor can loop and escape the killer with no perks while the killer has "op perks".This again is dependant on the map but that is again something else.
Now for the DLC.The best and somewhat only viable killers at higher ranked survivors are actualy free (Nurse billy huntress)Also the game with all dlc is around as much as Friday13th

I also own them both, and I agree that as similar as they are, I play them both for very different reasons.
I personally prefer Dead by Daylight, it just feels like more of a "game" with fan service incuded, where as Friday the 13th feels a game built around the fan service.

Well said, Quiet Time. I played F13 in beta and for about a month or so after it came out and burned out. I quickly went back to Dead by Daylight because of the challenge involved.

This is a thing I just wanted to say but, the hillbilly is not a cannibal and he plays a lot differently than leatherface. Eyeless Jack killers in dbd are faster than Jason so it kind of balances out as far as difficulty between the 2 games goes in my opinion

What does survivor count have to do with it? Killers are supposed to be OP, and the vid stated that they WERE in dbd which...theyre not. Not even close. If dbd added MORE survivors per game, literally NOBODY would play killer. Having 4, especially with how survivor sided dbd is already, would be nightmare fuel.

Dead by daylight is more fun, from what I've played. More teamwork and a lot of cool killers and other content that FT13th doesn't have. Camping is an issue though.

On rank 1 you always lose 2 gens AT LEAST when you are hooking the first guy. Considering if you aren't playing Billy, Nurse or Huntress
Pff its more survivor sided with everything, the devs have no idea how to fix their game and make it balanced so they make perks that only temporarily fix the problems. Like how Enduring and Brutal strength fix the pallet issues(barely). Few things to add, with DBD to level up a survivor or killer you dont have to play them, you can just play your main untill you get 650K BP then just spend them points on a survivor that is low level or a killer that is low level so you arnt stuck with bad perks vs a survivor or killer with alot of 3 teir perks

The main reason i switched to F13
I have both games, however I openly prefer Friday. I've always been a huge Jason fan and I love being able to run around in all of the old-school maps from the films. DBD is a great game, and there are some really awesome killers I get to main. I just feel bland in DBD overtime, whereas with Friday The 13th; No match is ever the same for me. Players differ for their strategies and its entertaining. Plus I love the thrill of being chased by someone who really knows how to play Jason well. Im with you tho, I scream way more on DBD but laugh more I Friday. I play Friday with friends and randoms and just play killer on DBD tho tbr. Both are really fun.

Dbd Survivors are just skins. no uniqueness to any of them. No specialization with overpriced skins. At least in friday players can choose a role and excel at it. and perks are completely rng based. Imo Dbd is more fun for killers. who just wanna abuse bad poor game development. Friday actually requires a level of co-op and skill to effectively kill jason, and complete objectives.

I like the leveling System of Dead by Daylight way more, because you can achieve something beside of just play another round, and another round and just level up. Because you can spend a good amount of Bloodpoints to gain something after nearly every round, but in F13 I just have to play more rounds to get a new perk as example. So the leveling System does more effect the gameplay in DbD than in F13. I personally like that more :D
You can spend your Exp for Jason-Kill-Animations or Perks for Survivors. (Or to get new Characters with specific levels.) You can sell the perks again to get back your coins (I dont know anymore what the currency was called) and to get better perks. But the Perks does not affect the gameplay as much as the perks in Dead by Daylight.
( I only played F13 for like 30 hours or so, so I dont have the greatest experience, but I thoguth the leveling System worked as explained.)

In MY Opinion DBD has more variety than F13. You can decide wether you want to play killer or survivor. And than in every round there can be a one of ten different killers, while in F13 Jason can always do approximately the same. Every round is different and you need a different playstyle when you face an other killer. And also the perks have a greater influence on the game which bring variety. In my opinion F13 is everytime the same :D But I didnt play it that much. The only negative point about DbD is the community which is so toxic... but when you ignore the aftergame-chat the game is awesome! :D

There are 10 in the moment. Im pretty sure that they will bring even more killers in the game, but I hope, that they concenstrate on Buggfixing first and you have to know, that the most new killers are not F2P in the game. But I would recommend you to first watch some videos about new killers and than decide wether you want to buy the new DLCs or not. But the strongest killers in the game are not in a paied DLC.
DBD because when Jason grabs u you're dead instnly in les u have a poket knife and Jason is over powered but in dbd u get two hits then you're down and then u have to go on a hook but you can escape by wiggle ing when pick up

There's way more perk builds and extras that add to survivors and killers in DBD unlike F13 where it really doesn't matter what you put on Jason and the counselors skill buffs suck unless they give you an item at the start or increase stealth.
I think friday the 13th is better because it's better how it plays and the killers are always looking at the weapon when they hit someone and when jason grabs or swings at them and he goes right back to running or speed walking

I have played both DBD and F13 extensively on ps4, and DBD wins imo. DBD is much less buggy, every killer feels different unlike F13. The perk system is much more interesting, and less left up to chance. There is WAY more maps. Like the video mentioned, I can play killer anytime i want, in F13 its completely up to chance. I once played F13 for 6 consecutive hours, and i didn't get Jason once. F13 is more fun with killer, but its a complete chance to get killer. Now for survivors, F13 wins for sure. Survivors have no difference in gameplay besides perks in DBD. Survivors in F13 have clear differences in stats. As far as Progression goes, DBD wins. The leveling system is more frustrating yes, but in the end more rewarding. Especially with the prestige system. Once you reach level cap in F13, thats it. As far as repition goes, F13 is more repetetive in my opinion. While there is more ways to escape, you will always face jason. And if you get Jason, it will always be the same abilities, stats or not. With dbd if i get bored playing killer, i switch to survivor, if i get bored of survivor, i switch back to killer anytime. Now onto bugs. F13 has bugs that are in the game to this day, that have been in since day 1. DBD is constantly releasing bug fixes and balance patches. I geniunely enjoy both games, but i enjoy DBD more. Final verdict, if someone asked me which one they should get, i would say play both, but i would tell them that i like DBD more. But hey, thats one man's opinion.

Emris It has gotten lot better since the release of this comment, the december patch fixed A LOT of the issues for F13. The offline mode has also since released, giving the game more playability, and the option to play as killer whenever. I still prefer DBD, but happy to see how far F13 is coming :)

dead by daylight has better devs, better updates, better animations, better graphics and better balance, and overall great diversity of perks and killers. friday the 13th is better in terms of fear, diversity in chases.. but that's it. i have 150 hours on f13 and over 1300 hours on dead by daylight, i enjoy both of these games but overall dbd is better.

I absolutely prefer Dbd, Jason in Friday the 13th is too op from what i've seen, it's because against Jason you can't do anything when he catches you, because he oneshots survivors. In DbD as the killer you can't oneshot survivors (unless you have the right perks or addons) you have to hit them two times, then take the survivor, hook him and you have to guard the hook to successfully kill the survivor. In DbD it's much harder to kill a survivor, in F13 it's much easier. That's the why I absolutely prefer DbD. While on the fact that the killers In DbD are op... That's an ABSOLUTE JOKE 😂 Like, it's right that killers have their op perks and stuff, but remember that even the survivors have absolutely op perks, like Decisive Strike which saves you from being hooked most of the time. Then tell me if it's fun for the killer to face against a four men premade which has decisive strike and the Brand new part addon. I don't think so 😂

You have multiple ways of escaping, but the HUGE difference between the games is that you really need to work as a team in F13. Like... the game is cake if you work together and you can escape every time. It's a team game and not 1vs1 like you're kind of describing in your pros and cons. I feel like the two games just appeal to two different playstyles that people enjoy. Thus all the arguing in the comments.
I escape more than not in F13, but people who try to escape by themselves, while it works sometimes, usually won't. Because the means of escape are much more straight forward in DbD it's not really an issue. You don't need to actively work with other people... it just happens. I wish more reviews were better at explaining the real differences in how people play both games successfully.
Mark Koschwitz well, you're right too. F13 needs a lot of teamwork, but for me it's just not fun to see Jason appear from nowhere and kill you. Yes you have things that help you escape from Jason, but i just don't like games where, if they kill you (and also instantly), you're eliminated from the game. I just prefer DbD because it doesn't need much coordination to be a good team. If you're good at the game (or if the killer sucks) you can easily win.

So to get things right... Dead by Daylight costs 20 bucks, Friday 36 and u complain about DLCs that are completely optional, the teachable perks can appear in the weekly shrine to get them without buying the DLC + u can play a perkless version of the killer.
OBVIOUSLY these games are totally different in their playstyle. In DBD u gotta play agressive, but not too agressive. Its like Friday the 13th, at some point all windows are broken and all doors destroyed and u have nowhere to run. If you crawl around the map like this casual and his Alpha Footage you lose. People start to die and suddenly its 3 vs 1. And thn 2 vs 1. Aaaaaand ur alone.
Through this 20 minute timer theres no point in overdoing it, dont risk anything and i like the survivor side. Its just so that its just 1 Killer and it feels like there is just one map at all. More realistic one could say.
So NOW to the IMPORTANT stuff, DBD is coop, Friday is singleplayer. Lets say u play with friends, Jason kills u in the first minute, ur friend manages to wait out the time or one of u becomes the killer and is kinda forced to kill the other guy. No chance at saving ur friend basically and u gotta wait 19 minutes. DBD gives u 3 chances (mostly), u can take hits while he carries ur friend to a hook, giving him enough time to wiggle free, and if this would have been his 3rd hook and u didnt get hooked at all go and sacrifice urself. If the killer hooks u and camps really hard then everyone can go for gens... u can hang there 2 minutes, a gen takes under 2 minutes, 3 players, 5 gens and 2 should be already done at the time u get hooked. So u get a frustrating start because u are basically dead right at the start but STOP, the match is over because the Killer put no pressure up to get YOU dead. You actually made everyone escape even though u died (because u didnt act like an asshole and killed urself on the hook or disconnected).
Well, i played DBD alot so this might be a bit too onesided and it definitely has its flaws and i even read some idiot writing about that he bought DBD because of Freddy... who is really underwhelming like EVERY PAID DLC KILLER SUCKS AND THAT IS GOOD BECAUSE THIS IS NOT PAY TO WIN. They are all unique (more or less) but need some balancing mostly on perks and movespeed

Dbd has Way different killers... Btw did f13 have anything Halloween related besides the simple costumes. Dbd has menu music, 2 new survivor items, and a headpiece for Nurse... ALL FOR FREE

Banzai gaming it's because you have to actually play the game in order to level up and gain clothing, and a majority of the things in F13 are free other than the useless emotes, and Halloween and bathing suit clothing. Woo one free head piece how sad and some music.

I loved both... but f13 always seemed to have people cheating and or being toxic in voice chat,

I think DbD is a really fair game between killers and survivors...
Although I've never experienced a game where cooperating and being altruistic are so decisive against killers
It’s simply the fact dbd has a way bigger skill gap than f13 both fun but in my opinion if your good at both dbd is way more fun.
