The Leaderboard they took team killing off on public matches but the car can still kill.

The Leaderboard when you disable jason's trap he will be alerted but you must listen carefully for the sound
The Leaderboard I sometimes use firecrackers as a substitute for pocket knives if I don't have any. If I think Jason is about to catch me I'll set off the firecrackers and they'll do the same job.
Man I remember when we had a car with 3 of the 4 seats filled in about 3 minutes. One guy had found a shotgun so we stopped to pick up a fourth passenger with a Jason hot on his tail. We stopped, shot the hell out of him, got a fourth passenger and high tailed it out of there! Easily one of the most stressful and exciting moments in gaming ever!

One time I was in a team where everyone was toxic, so I drove the 4 seater alone and then watched them fight over the boat. I loved it.

PRO TIPS: I found that if your playing and you see your screen static and it goes close up to your councilor Jason is about to phase onto you and you should make a sharp move to a different direction, walk until this happens so you don't lose stamina and have enough to run when he phases(or stand, which can be more beneficial). walk in general, less noise or no noise made depending on character and its more efficient.
If you are getting away from Jason pay attention to your stamina and make sure you always have enough to run towards a house. Always have your flashlight on(unless your hiding), a lot of people make this mistake and their fear level goes way high then it needs to be.
Jason's abilities have a start up period so don't be afraid to just straight up run in the beginning even if it makes alot of noise as there isn't much he can do at this period. Don't be afraid to reuse a window even if it is broken, for the character I use it takes 3 broken windows until I'm in a hurt state but because of the medic perk (allows one more use of a first aid spray and slightly more healing) 1 first aid supports me going through a broken window 6 times with 1 first aid (you can go slightly more by continuing to use a broken window 1 or 2 more times depending on perks and character before you need to heal but Jason has the chance to throw a knife/ hit through wall and kill you instantly by taking this chance.
You can reset a trap even if Jason had triggered it, often I find Jason's forgetting this and trigger it a couple times.
When you get the map immediately look at it and see where all the councilors locations are so you get a rough idea of where they've checked and where it looks like they haven't checked. Don't risk going on the boat if you have knives and a good set up for Jason while the police are arriving unless your in a hurt state and cant heal yourself and nowhere close to the police area. When hiding in a bed/closet in the houses you don't need to hold your breath if Jason is in the house and knows you're somewhere in there as his ability to see where councilors are cant pinpoint your exact location and only shows your somewhere in the house, you'll only be giving him a idea of where you are when you have to breath again after holding it. Holding your breath should only be used if hes outside the house and still doesn't know you're in the house or if you take the chance to hide outside(I don't recommend if you have the chance to use a house instead as houses are way safer and even if you exit out of your hiding spot right in front of him if he grabs you there might not be enough room for him to execute you and give you time to shake him off).
Recognize each Jasons pros and cons(you can check in the Jason menu), some have very negative cons to them so use it to your advantage. Finally, don't lock glass doors unless there's a trap in front of it so your councilor friends don't run into it by mistake, I say this because the time it takes for Jason to break open a glass door is basically the same as him opening it regularly however you can keep reclosing the door until he does decide to break it to buy time and gain distance.
Edit: didn't realize my comment got so much attention until now 2 years after, I type on mobile and I don't proof read(at least on TH-cam comments). I really liked the game at the time and was abit passionate on the game and wanted to share. I have NA education, I'm abit better at writing now and fixed some gramical errors :)

XDarksoulX1129 We kill Jason allllllll the time. I've participated in around 100 Jason kills on ps4 in just the last month or so. What's sad is we should have double that, but a lot of times it gets glitchy after the sweater is used and sometimes things don't go exactly as planned and we have to try to count on random Tommy's, random sweater girls or randoms getting the sweater before we are ready and they die or just end up using it to get away. We've even killed a number of max rank players and people above 80 and 90.. even max rank people in our own party that KNEW we were gonna try to kill them and we still end up pulling it off and several of them are VERY good Jason's!

Most high-level Jasons we kill leave before the kill animation is over because they get mad. It's only low-levels who have never seen Jason killed that stay. This sucks because it means we only sometimes get the points for killing him.

How to survive.
1) pick Tiffany or Jenny
2) Camp under a bed the whole game.
This is 2 months old and around the time when I started playing this, so this is what's changed/extra tips. I know these are strictly counselor survival tips, however there are advantages to certain characters and situations when you know which Jason is playing.
1) Team killing isn't a thing anymore except with cars, and private matches.
2) Going into Jason's cabin does alert him of your presence, but if you have Jason's mask in your inventory then he doesn't get notified.
3) *(SPECULATION)* Jason can get through those tiny fences, he can hit them with his weapon, or something. I've seen him just walk right through them when enraged I believe. Could be wrong on that but I know I've seen it before.
4) It's true Jason is faster in the water. However Part 2 and Part 4 Jason's have water speed weakness which make them slower in the water allowing councilors to easily escape on boat. Keep in mind that Part 7 and Part 8 Jason's have water speed strength and are faster than normal in water.
5) Keep in mind that if you spawn near a car or boat, that there *IS* going to be a part nearby in one of the cabins. It could be any part, but one part will always spawn nearby that particular vehicle. So double check each cabin to make sure.
6) The above tip also applies to the fuse btw. If you find the fuse search the immediate cabins for the fuse box. Fuse sometimes spawns inside the fuse box cabin.
7) Some people may not know this, but you can pick up a part and drop it with z (or whatever it is on console) and the item will show on the map for people to see.
The button for console is down on the d-pad. Not sure about PC, but in order to drop most parts (and all weapons), you have to hold it.
For 7 : Hold down on the D-Pad to drop weapons/parts, tap down to drop knives, sprays, ect.
Maps and radios cannot be dropped.

You made a mistake when you said sense unlocks around 5 min into the game, stalk is the skill which is unlocked at 5 minutes for Jason, sense is gained at 45 seconds into the match.

I remember a few months ago while playing on the Pinehurst map. I found the propeller right off the bat. Went to the boat and ended meeting up with a random councillor with the gas. Escaped literally in 2 minutes after starting the match.

The map perk is kinda useless because maps will spawn in a map box which is easy to find across he map so its kind of a waste of a perk slot but still useful if you don't know where the boxes spawn but you can always find them in a drawer as well.
Also if you know where the kiosk is...just go there.

Maps are amazing. I just know where jasons shack is, and I know whos getting chased, what area has been searched, where the cars are and all that good stuff. And You also know if someone already took the gun if your looking for it, Im very very good at the game and personally I've always loved that perk and always survive the night.
Not for me... whenever I don’t have the map perk equipped it takes me half the game to find a map and whenever I do have it on, I find a map in every god damn cabin

There’s actually 4 ways to survive:
1: The cops
2:Transportation out eg.boat or car
3:Wait out through that night
4:Kill Jason with Tommy Jarvis (sacrificing 1 player)
I died, came back as tommy, shot him, and we still died, this was also my first game and now I’m here 😂
My advice would be to use perks that boost your chosen characters weaknesses. ALWAYS look around for the Tommy house when you first spawn in and be sure to call him if you see the orange radio tower. ALWAYS shut and lock every door that you enter, even before looting unless you’re positive Jason is far away and not focused on you. Also open all windows too. I died more times than I can count because selfish/dumb gamers left doors wide open and or they didn’t lock doors and open windows. A open window in a house with locked doors can mean the difference between life and death, especially when you’re out of stamina and Jason is shifting to your location. Try to never let your stamina get lower than 1/3 if possible, always rest (stop moving and squat, by fires, light poles and radios to get it back faster) to let it fill up again if you can. Practice doing skill checks and try to memorize where you find parts, where vehicles will spawn and where the fuse house can spawn and where to find the phone. Learn how to fight and what weapons are the best. Tip, try to fight Jason at windows as he goes to break them. At least that’s the best way to take his mask off if you’re going for a Jason kill. Pro tip, you do not need the mask in any way to pull off a jason kill. No one has to have it to do it. The only thing about the mask is to make sure it’s off before you try to go for the kill. The mask CAN, however, be used to enter Jasons shack to get his moms sweater without Jason being alerted of what your doing. Make sure it’s a girl that gets the sweater, and she should have a baseball bat, wrench or axe and Tommy needs a machete or an axe to do the kill.. preferably a fresh axe that has no hits on it because you’re going to need Tommy’s axe to stun Jason to his knees and if that axe breaks while getting him stunned, you’re probably fucked. The sweater girl used to do the stun as well but the animation last too long and Jason might break free before she can do the stun. Most good Jasons that realize you’re trying to kill them will adopt one of 3 tactics. 1, they will play keep away and run all over the map to avoid the counselors so they don’t get killed. In this case, it’s not nearly as satisfying but it’s a free win at least. Tactic 2, they will try to hit and run the key players (Tommy or the sweater girl). They will sit in the distance watching with sense and using their stalk so you don’t know they’re close by and when the group starts to separate even a little bit, they will try to shift in real fast and do a quick grab kill on either Tommy or the sweater girl.. and if they get one of them.. game over. That’s why you should stick together when trying to kill Jason so you’re close by for the save if need be. Tactic 3, they will play like normal and be a good sport about it. The typical tactic 2 type player though.. will save their teleport for a quick escape if they miss their hit and run. Sometimes, they can still manage to teleport away even if the sweater girl is standing right next to him and triggers the sweater. If that’s the case, do not fear yet! The very next time Jason gets stunned, they will still fall to their knees and be vulnerable to getting killed by Tommy. So, once again.. it’s important to stick together, stay alert and be ready to improvise. If you suddenly hear a complete lack of any sounds or music.. that means Jason is close by and is using his stalk.
"Get the pieces get the seats" they ditched me when I bring gas to the 4-door car ( A random 5th player stole my seat 😭😭😭 ). Karma came to him cuase Jason shut the escape down faster that light.
My story goes like this: I started out near a car and boom, I find an engine. I apply to 4 car near me, then I look more and I find gas, apply, then I go to another cabin nearby and I find keys, flare gun, and pocket knife. Then I start up the car and look for survivors to pick up, I got 1, then I saw 1 getting chased by Jason so (Here was mistake) I didn’t turn off the car, I got out to use my gun on Jason, then at that point as I was aiming onto Jason, the counselor got into the car and drove it. I shot jason, then I tried to get in the passenger seat. And the idiot wouldn’t stop going back and forth. Then at the 5th back and forth the idiot drove on me and killed me. I. Was. Pissed. (They both escaped)

I've been playing for around six months since the game was released for free. Now Jason is buffed and more powerful than he was a year ago. But I've killed Jason several times. Some nights me and a friend will kill five to ten random Jason's just in a single night so it's not really that hard. Just stay together and the hardest part is getting his mask off and that's usually not to difficult. When you're in a group he can really only slash because if he grabs you just have someone hit him real quick and he drops you giving you a few seconds to pick your weapon back up while he's stunned. Only thing is now because of the buff in the last half of the match Jason can only be stunned by the shotgun. So get the mask off in the first half. And make sure someone who knows what they're doing dies first to come back as Tommy but I've even talked noobs through how to do it so it isn't as hard as it seems. Peace.
It's easy to kill Jason even after the buff. I kill him all the time and I play with nothing but randoms.

Everyone needs a hero or else nobody will survive. Immediately get out, run around him, and get back inside.
Here are the rules to survive:
1. Perks - Hypochondriac, thick skinned, and preparedness. These are for a solo counselor. A hero will use sucker punch instead of preparedness. Hypochondriac - You never know, better late than never said nobody ever, better now than sorry. Thick Skinned - This will increase your chances of survival up to three times as much along with hypochondriac. Preparedness - People might say that this perk is useless, little do they know that it is an army of perks all for itself. These three perks spell out preparedness. Sucker Punch - Increase your chances of stunning Jason by 21%.
2. Map - You have a map already, but you don't know everything yet. While in the game as a counselor draw all 8 maps on paper. Here is what you need:
Weapons(in order from best to worst)
Pocket knife
Bear trap
Gun
Axe
Machete
Items(in order from first to last)
For the boat - Propeller then gas
For the fuse box - Fuse
For the car - Keys, battery and gas
Med spay
Secret places
Hiding spots
Cardio spots
Jason's shack
Exits
Police cars
Car destinations
And names if you get confused
3. Barricade and lock entrance doors.
4. Open all windows.
5. Always equip a bear trap. I open the door, place the trap and close it for best accuracy. Place traps in sheds with cardio spots. Jason opens door, steps in trap, you run around him, grab your trap and be on your way.
6. First of all repair the boat.
7. If that fails, call the cops.
8. If that fails, repair the car.
9. When all else fails, hide, run around Jason, and evade him.
10. As Tommy Jarvis you have to look for the girl with the sweater, protect her with your gun if Jason still has his mask on, equip a machete or axe, and wait for her to use the sweater.
Another thing that you must always keep in mind if you really want to escape as soon as possible is to check on the boat, cops, and cars. If you see that one thing has been repaired and there is a counselor nearby immediately head over, or close and be ready to board anytime. Same with the cops. And remember, this is only the solo counselor's guide.

Another tip
I see many times where all the counselors find each other and group up which is great. Teamwork is a great way to ensure everyone in the match makes it out alive. However, sometimes they’ll all try to jump Jason which is a HORRIBLE IDEA. while Jason’s rage mode happens way later in the game, counselors can speed up the process. By hitting Jason or doing damage whatever the case it will charge rage a bit each time. This makes it harder for you to win because he now is unstoppable too early in the game . Instead only hit Jason when necessary.

I one time had 4 people and we had a battle royale in the main house over who gets to escape in the boat, after one of us died Jason came and hunted us down.
I use Adam because hes strong, has an ok composure, has a decent repair, and the rest can be fixed with perks.
There were about 5 people all working together (including me) when i was playing once. I was Tommy Jarvis and someone else stole the jumper so we killed him!

So I just got this game yesterday even though it is basically three years old now. Anyway, I ended up getting a radio late game, and me and one other guy who already had one, ended up killing Jason, never knew the guy. So now that I am hearing that killing Jason is supposedly very hard, I’m surprised and I feel very accomplished
I saw some counselors kill Jason in like the first couple of games I played. It was nuts. The guys knew what they were doing.
Just saying I’ve witnessed them killing Jason twice in one day
4:18 its actually not that hard.
1. Find tommy Jarvis
2. Find pamela’s sweater. (There is an axe with it make sure tommy takes it).
3. If you take pamela’s sweater make sure you come armed so you can hit Jason after using it.
I have tried this you don’t need to remove the mask and all that.
Quick remider: to take Pamela’s sweater, you must be a girl character

Killing jason is easy if everyone is good. Problem is bad teammates and bad tommy. I've killed tons of jasons

Stick together both with melee weapons so your teammate can stun jason if youre grabbed by him. If he hits you, use medical spray. Do this while running and giving others time.

About killing Jason. I have done it once but only because the Jason wanted to be killed and everyone else was on board and my friend has played 2 games where it has happened but I don't know the details. It's really hard since Jason's mother does warn him that people are trying to take the sweater and he's gonna go kill you plus you have to have a decent Tommy and manage to find a machete before Jason lobs your head into space.
I killed Jason three times in a row.
Three games, in each one me and my friends killed him.

Anna on PS4 all Jason's suck most of the time but yeah if Jason is good he will win unless the councilors are good but then again every Jason sucks so councilors for the most part always win
Anna You should try it out! It's still a ton of fun and even though Jason is op, it's definitely still possible to escape more than you die. Just play smart :-)
Luis Roman Only one jason really sucks and thats part 7, you can do well with any Jason if you know what your doing and play to their strengths. A lot of Jasons on ps4 do suck, but there are quite a few good ones that I play with every night.

Lol. You'll get better with practice. The more you play with him the better you'll get. Recommend you play the challenges with Jason or against bots on the offline version until you get the handle of how to use him properly.
If a counselor escapes the map with objects like a shotgun or pocket knife then it will usually respawn near the boat on the shore. It’s the best place to check if you’re trying to survive and need a few extra items.

Jason can hear the boat now. I just started playing recently and saw Jason topple the boat in back to back rounds as the counselor was trying to escape.
