      Indeed!
      I absolutely love silicon render. So much easier to work with, fully waterproof, it's time to move on with times 😉

    Great job. Can this be used as a method to render over pebble dash?

    • @yesconstructionltd
      @yesconstructionltd  หลายเดือนก่อน

      That would be a perfect solution. You can increase insulation thickness. Installation of the polystyrene would be different. You would use glue and screws as well.
      Looks great and you insulate the house at the same time.
      Thanks for engaging 😉

      Hi
      Can't tell without seeing the property. Sometimes we have to extend the roof to accommodate for the insulation. Sometimes the pebble dash is falling off so we need to strip it completely .
      We spoke on the phone today. Let's meet up at the property and we will discuss.

    Hi me and my husband are rendering a block raised patio wall in Bulgaria with sand/cement and plasticiser mix. Now I have a spare container of coloured silicon, could I put it over the mix or just paint the wall? Благадория

      Hi
      Thanks for engaging
      It's best practice to apply mesh and render base coat, then the silicone. You can do that over comment render.
      I wouldn't recommend to apply tye silicone directly onto the cement render. The render base coat is designed to provide a good bond between the two.
      If your cement render is done nicely, just paint it with quality masonry paint and it will look nice.
      I hope I helped 😉

    What if you have an extension at the back of the property, I am assuming you are not able to add the polystyrene as it exceeds past the plannong permission level?
    Also, Good work

    • @yesconstructionltd
      @yesconstructionltd  2 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi
      I don't think that anyone will have a problem for adding 25-30mm to the overall measurement of the property.
      It's not structural. The extension was built to let's say 3m and signed off by BC and that is it. What you do after is your business. You're only adding some insulation and render.
      Also I know that there is some tolerance. The extension in the video was exceeded in height by 150mm and 100 mm in depth and the building control was absolutely fine with it.
      If you are concerned, write to the council and ask, they should know best.
      Thanks for engaging 😉

      Oh yeah. I know what you are saying.
      You can go directly on the brick/block but there is a small chance that when it gets really cold, you might see tye lines (as shown In the video)

      As much as I love Liverpool, it is too far for me. There was a time when I was working in Leeds, York, Manchester, and Bristol, but now I have 5 kids, so I need to be around. I hope that you will find someone trustworthy in your local area and thank you for your interest.
