We all knew the song is a banger, but we didn’t expect it to be this kind of a banger…
Yeah
Yeah💀
No, I fully expected it, I was on the porn theory train from the beginning lmao
oh it Bangs alright
@@NethanielShade, because you knew carl92's a coomer?
I’m glad Carl92 was vague too. Because this has been the definition of “the real treasure was the friends we made along the way.”
EXACTLY
what? wouldnt it be "the real treasure is in 🌽"
@@user-ui9qy6cw5y
The video porn wasn't even good😭
Like so many weird cuts and the plot is never consistent.
He was counting all the sheets in disguise
He got caught up in a world of lies
Everyone knows it; he's got
Ulterior motives, tell you the truth...
His every move shows it (ah-ah)
Don't you realize he was telling lies
RB BATTLES mentioned?
Everyone scoffed at the idea that it was from adult film. Boy, the irony here is thick
that's not the only thing that's thick 😏😳
Just like the fluids that-
thick, girthy irony
And wet.
My assumption was library music or advertising jingle.
The fact that Carl92 tried to hide his gooning because he was embarrassed instead of coming out and saying
"Yeah I was jorking it when I heard this banger I have to know what it is."
We would’ve just been like “huh, that’s kind of weird” and moved on and continued, sure some people would judge him for it without a doubt, but the search could’ve ended far sooner
Carl is a coward.
@@dragongirl2004 stop he's already dead
@@gibbstan96 he's not wtf. stop spreading misinformation

EKT and LCDA being found in the span of a month feels like a pleasant fever dream.
And that's how I found out LCDA was solved, thanks. Johnny in the Middle of the Park also got solved really recently but I think we're still waiting for the singer to provide conclusive proof.
What's LCDA
@@zach2712 La Cancion De Alicia.
@@conoredmiston548 it's 100% confirmed that piero is the singer, we were able to find 2 copyright entries about the song confirming without a doubt it is him, we are just waiting for the full song if it still exists, i don't know if he has it but if he eventually sends it to me at some point i'll let you all know
Back to Bed, Waste my Time, just about every coveted lost song being found
So not only did we get the identity of the song & a clean full rendition of it out of this, we also got "CARL UR ASS WAS NOT EATING CHIPS".
there's a p0rn free version??? *WHERE* ???
Yeah I saw that comment 😂😂
I bet carl92 was on the subreddit intentionally throwing around fake leads.
he is the culprit behind polish mcdonalds
he had "ulterior motives" cuz he was "carrying all his shame" and made sure we were "caught up in a world of lies" and now "everyone knows it"
Oh yes probably the material motives one or the roses one
@@sombertobogglyhow did even a polish McDonald’s lead existed?
He made us think the song had “false value”
Carl foresaw that people were going to find it, so he dropped it, hoping that people would forget about it. 😂
But forgot how relentless the internet can be
not enough appreciation for the absolute insane drip of the Booth bros holy shit
That's what I thought, so stylish!
Despite it's origin it's so freaking catchy
New Wave and Old School Hip Hop is like that
To be fair, from the brothers themselves it was meant to be a legit song. But being in their 20s and needing money they sold it to the porn studio. It's kind of a shame because they clearly put a lot of effort into the song. It's genuinely wonderful that oddly they got their wish: people love the song and outside of the natural memes it received international attention to how great and catchy it is. The fact that the brothers not only had no idea that people were looking for this song but gave them a gigantic boost in morale to where they're making a pure 80s album in thsr style has turned out to be a genuinely wholesome ending.
This is the best possible ending for Carl92 tho. He's getting the full song AND found out it was made before the film.
I like to imagine he's been secretly keeping up with the search all along and now he unironically jams to this song now
the bad thing tacked on to it is the possibility of gooning
I truly adore these two guys. They have been so gracious about the whole thing. Sincerely looking forward to their '80s-inspired album!
i was about to say this too! they seem like really lovely people who are genuinely super passionate about making music, and im glad theyre finally getting recognition for all their work (even if it did come in a bit of a weird way)
They seem like really cool guys to hang out and be friends with honestly
They stood up my very young son at the hospital, basically ghosted us. This was because we were paranormal fans and my son loved watching ghost shows with me while in treatment for cancer. At the time we couldn't find children of the grave documentary they did. No call, no text nothing to say he couldn't make it! It's all good my boy was able to meet, weird al when he was ten a couple of years later.
It blew my mind when they announced who did EKT and I knew exactly who they were and not for happy reasons. To edit my son did pass in 2021 at the age of sixteen.
EKT Enthusiast here. I lost my absolute shziz the evening it was found. I had no clue until about 7pm that night when I went to google it and it just blew up. I've said it before but it's really bittersweet and is still a banger... literally. Now we can seriously say, Everyone Knows That.
So happy and relieved this case has come to a close. Hopefully "Like The Wind" will be identified before the end of the year. That's the Final Boss of Lostwave media. 🙏
Bro was caught gooning 💀💀💀💀
Not necessarily. How does that imply gooning?
Everyone point and laugh
i do think this is the funniest possible ending for a lost media search
So it was that kind of “banger”
Heard of this news from All Things Lost originally. I'm honestly not all that surprised of this development, since it's like the perfect context for an obscure song to be forgotten in. Still hella catchy regardless, good job.
Really feels like someone's gonna start a database of obscure songs from that context.
it's so sweet when lost media searches end with the original artist's finally learning about everyone whose been searching for them and getting motivated to make more
the fact that both ekt and the og backrooms photo have both been found within a month of each other is so funny
besides all the ulterior motives stuff, christopher and philip are probably one of THE coolest mfs to ever live
I think the dvd backup wasn’t originally Carl92’s but rather he probably got it from family or friend (possibly one who passed away) that probably torrented stuff and saved it to the dvd backup. I think Carls intentions were to find a high quality version of the song, not to have people watch a horny movie.
Someone said they found the version carl had watched on xhamster
@@gehenna14 😂what do hamsters have to do with anything
@@boscornernothing, it’s the name of an adult site😂
He acts so embarrassed but I don't think anyone would have cared if he'd said "I found this song in an old pomo, anyone know what it's called?" Or at least made an alt account just for it
He probably didn't think it would be as obscure as it was, but would be a less-well-known pop song from the '80s that just happened to be playing in the background and that someone would recognize even if his sample was poor quality that wouldn't trigger a Shazam match.
So, who else is gonna buy their album with this song when they release it? I'll buy the digital version and double dip on a vinyl if they release one. Especially if the vinyl is the same color as the infamous pink boombox.
This video has me losing my mind. A few years back, my partners were working on a film with the Booth brothers. I think my spirit left my body when Christopher and Phillip were mentioned, this is absolutely bonkers to me lmao. Im paused at 3:22 bc i dont know what to do with myself
my favorite thing is that when it was found, i found out because someone in a dan and phil discord server said it in a chat for the dan howell 'we're all doomed' live show LOL. like the most random place to drop that information. it wasnt relevant to any conversation happening they just said it out of nowhere in there, and also literally like _right_ after it was found, like only by a few hours at most after it was found
i really thought this song was going to be lost to time, especially since it was so old. im SO glad i was wrong, and i feel like it gives so much hope for other lost media, especially the older ones! it always feels like the longer that its lost, the more itll stay lost. i always hope that that assumption isnt true.
i was waiting for your update on this 🙏🙏 you were the first youtuber i thought of when the song was found
I’m so glad to hear that there is a possibility of getting a clean version of Ulterior Motives! I was so disappointed to hear that it was only available in the film
Well its not only available in film, people were quick to edit out "background noise", we have the technology after all. Having clean version is always better tho.
My first thought upon hearing it was from an adult film was
'That's why the guy who originally posted about it was so cagey!"
People just don't realize the TREMENDOUS domino effect this Lost media hunt turned out to be, like: curious gooner known online as Carl asks for help finding a song -> Chris Booth and his brother experiment a full Musical career revival thanks to this phenomenom and even interact with the media hunters. Just, WOW
Glad to see you made an update video on it. Your original video was my favorite on the subject.
I knew about it being found but I waited for you to make a video of it to know all the details, cause your previous video was the origin of my knowledge about it. Well done!
i couldn’t wait for your video on this to come out! and i loved hearing the super paper mario music in the background of this video lol
I will love how EKT was known as a very lost song to everyone knowing that it was found from an adult film. Gotta be one of my favorite lostwave finding journeys.
It's just so absurd thinking of him going through vintage adult films for his own personal use and then liking a random background song so much he records it without any noises then proceeds to try hiding the origins. Most people would've helped him faster if he admitted he watched an adult film lol
Thanks for featuring that clip of "Till The End of Time." My favorite "new" 80s song!
What an amazing video to the final saga of an epic lostwave song found. Thank you Kylie for all your amazing research and work in covering EKI and many other interesting subjects ✌️
Done! Now it’s time for “Like The Wind”
Obv knew the origin of this cos it circulated soooo fast, but couldn't wait for your video on it. Your video was what got me interested in EKT and introduced me to "lostwave".
YESS was waiting for you to do a video after my brother told me it was found... i sort of had a feeling it was from an adult film but its interesting it wasnt originally written to be in one. i guess 80s new wave just has that vibe no matter what LOL im really excited to hear more music from the brothers!! they seem so awesome
Speaking of "How Long", Paula Toledo, was finally able to get it back up on streaming profiles, along with her new song called "Riddle". So let's make sure to listen to it & enjoy it
Once again, absolutely killed it with your video production!!!
Awesome video!!!
I was so interested in finding out where this song came from, I was upset when I found out it came from an adult film hahaha.
Would love a remaster! Wishing them the best!
dang, i can't believe the search is finally over. it's felt like forever! but it's such a wonderful story with a nice ending, even not being a part of the search it makes me emotional and really happy. it's brought so many people together and i'm glad the artists are getting the attention and community they deserve too!
Been waiting for you to make a video on the update lol
As a grown man who still watches My Little Pony gen 3 and Monster High, I have no idea why Carl would think it's embarrassing to tell people on the internet that he was watching an adult movie.
I love how the official lyrics said “Everyone Know It” instead of “Everybody Knows That” like we all assumed 💀😭
I love how the you're counting all the sheep in the sky Vs you're counting on a change in disguise were both wrong, it was a mash-up of both these "counting all your sheep in disguise". 😂
It sounded like "everybody knows it" to me the whole time and was so confused about why all of the references to the song said "everyone knows that"
Girl I can’t not believe you used “Caught Between Worlds” footage. Really brings me back!
Congratulations to the community!!!
I thought the crunch was him just eating chips but i didnt think it would be THAT type of sound
I’m happy that the rest of the song sounds just as good as the snippet, can’t wait for the restoration to come out!
Was such an honor to be a part of lost wave history! This whole mystery deserves a full length documentary.
now I want an apology from all the tiktokers that announced with full confidence that this song was made with AI, even though it'd be near impossible in 2021. that was the most annoying aspect of the search lol
Loved the video
Lost Media sleuths skimming through 12 hours of vintage "corn" reminds me of that one episode of South Park where Chef has to "please" an army of ladies for some quick cash. Dunno why, it just does.
I can’t really blame Carl for not giving it up sooner, since a great deal of internet users are apparently unhappy with the song’s origins and mocking him.
Aw they seem really sweet, I'm glad they're doing well (also their style is neat)! The song sounds so good, I've been a fan of that sort of music for ages so if they do remake it, or even just happen upon the original full track I'll be excited. Plus even though the Joe Rinoie search wasn't helpful to finding the song, it did give me more music to listen to, it also sounds good.
I do feel bad for Carl though, must've been some intense awkwardness to begin with to go to all that effort to try to cover where it came from even though they were online and anonymous, yeah it's not necessary but some people can't help but be embarrassed, it's kinda sad that some people are using them as a punchline, hopefully they're alright.
Finally. People who actually needed the sauce for research purposes.
FINALLY! I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR 2 YEARS! YES!
Hey Kylie! Have you ever covered The Most Mysterious song/Like The Wind?
no, i've been invested in the search since 2019 but i don't think i'd make a video unless it was miraculously found haha!
Everyone knows that Carl has the ulterior motives all along...
I like to think people will stop asking for information for lost media because they will not want to be blasted for watching that stuff.
How many songs and stuff will get lost because “I don’t want a TH-camr to make fun of me” in the future.
That thought brings a smile to my face 😊
I was watching a NASCAR race reaction on a channel called TwistedToe (Dover, which was run on the day the artists were found, the reaction video was posted a few days after), and during a quiet part of the race, one of the friends of the guy behind the channel mentioned the song, that it was finally found, and where it was found. Cue the guy behind the channel, Mike, then responding, "Now I can't nut without it." That was the hardest I've ever laughed at a random remark in my life. But still not as funny as Carl's "finding" it.
oughhh,, can’t wait
The butterfly effect is real I’m glad the artists got to see how many people love their music
it's so wild that this was found! this song is so good tho i would love to hear it remastered
Makes me wonder if "Blind/Like the Wind" will be found too! However that one feels more obscure and something tells me its will sadly stay lost music.
As a korn fan , i love every mention of ma boi Jonathan Davis. Great Video as always🤘 the case is finally closed
Kylie, first off, love the videos. Just was wondering, what microphone do you use to record?
thank you! and i use a samson q2u
@@sombertoboggly Thank you so much, keep up the great work!
This needs be on the news
Hope your future videos do just as well!
I haven’t heard Julian Gray’s music in a while, interesting that he talked about it
I remember somebody commenting on a video saying if the song wasn't found this year they would be shocked and look at that
I remeber seeing this waking up. I didn't believe it. And after seeing the clip...yep. It was the first thing that made me really interested in lost wave.
Also it makes some memes on tik tok look worse. Like that one at 11:22 lol
I literally have never heard that song until your first video
Super cool! Can't believe one little song could have such a far reaching affect all these years later.
Cheers ladies and gents, life is certainly strange.
I still can't believe it. Carl92 the poor bastard, he could've just been honest and it likely would have been found in a few days from the original post lol.
I've been saying that it sounded more like "it" than "that" since this thing first kicked off. Nobody listens to me.
Ps. I've found some really cool songs from porn soundtracks. No shame. There are two kinds of people in the world. Those who watch porn and those who are liars.
The song found the day before my birthday 🎉 and in the funniest place, blessed be XD
Also That Alice In Wonderland Lost Song Is Found Just 5 Days Ago
“My mind has officially been blown” not the only thing to have been blown here
wait wait wait a second this whole time that song that's been stuck in my head that buzzes in once in a while that I had no time to search for was lost media!? but I'm not sure because I remember different lyric's and it's been with me for a VERY long time so I wonder how I got that from a adult film I don't think this is the song I remember now I'm searching
Extremely old news now, but I appreciate the effort!
Once I found out the origin I’ve been waiting to see your reaction 😂
I love it when the lostwave community comes together and a long and hard search finally reaches its climax.
I don’t think he necessarily knew where it came from, he could have very well been watching it and decided to record it many years before he posted the snippet and genuinely forgot it
to me them finding it on april 28th makes it funnier cuz they found it on my bday, it was like a lil present. still so happy they found it tho
Well now, *everyone knows that* carl92 had *ulterior motives*
whats that synthwave song that you can hear in the bg at around 0:33 ? been trying to find it for a while
Honestly a pretty satisfying conclusion imo.
Unrelated, but is Placebo’s “Nancy Boy” video where Blue Chin Guy? (I’m not the one who found that, but I don’t remember who was)
2:58 WAHOO MOM LOOK IM IN THE VIDEO
Angels of Passion. I've got to look that up for research purposes.
For some reason every time I see a video about "the song no one knows the origin of" it's a different song each time.
Like I don't know if I'm living in multiple parallel universes or everyone just has different ideas about what "that one song" is.
i was hunting for this everyday, and wanted to be the one that found it. now im not TOO sad i missed it
Its officially released now :)
I wondered when you'd talk about this lol
10:57 I would not call finding out a song came from pr0n wholesome.
9:28 I mean I was listening to the song and it very clearly says, "every knows it" idk why people heard "every one knows that". I thought I was going crazy or hearing wrong, Cuz I kept hearing "Everyone Knows *it*"
Such a funny story! Thanks Carl92 for getting it started.
