Well, this was late 85, right before he sobered up. He was fighting the demons pretty hard at this point in his life. It feels great knowing that he reached the point in his life that he always wanted before he passed. I miss him alot... we all do. Thanks for watchin, Joel
bluessmith i love this version!! that handshake was great,hear this song... we want more videos!!we want more videos!!we want more videos!!we want more videos!!
Love the look on the guys face at 2:34!!! If I were him id would be thinking "How the hell did he just rip that part of the solo while shaking my hand????" Miss you Stevie, they'll never be another one like you!!!
I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I'm glad that I wasn't there in the first row shaking Stevie's hand, b/c there's no way I would have ever let go (:
Man, I love this version of the song. I have it on some kind of bootleg VCR tape with the other songs from the Finland show. I thought the footage from the tape was crapy but I guess that's just the way it is since it looks the same in the video. But I think it looks a little better in this video.
Yeah. I think it does. To me it resembles a shuffle pattern, which I think he was really used to. It takes alot less energy to go side to side rather than up and down. You're covering more area with less movement. Ive tried that move before. its kind of hard, but fun when you get it down. tahnks for watchin.
@strangeroussss : He doesn't seem himself because you knew him so well right? If you didn't notice he's playing to a dinner crowd which seems ridiculous so it wouldn't seem fitting for SRV to be sweating his ass off going ape shit while the crowd cuts their Fillet Mignon. Who booked this gig? Plus where's the HID lighting? Such an intimate evening with SRV. If I were there I would of flipped over my table and rushed the stage.
it saddens me to think that this music might as well be lost forever in 10 thousand years lol, weird to think but it is possible.

Even wasted on whatever SRV could still blow the doors off the house. With the power of soul, anything is possible! SRV & HRX forever!

Love the guitar playing while shaking hands with a fan.
because he has a kickass blues voice to accompany his godly playing
I can't believe I'm about to say this, but I'm glad that I wasn't there in the first row shaking Stevie's hand, b/c there's no way I would have ever let go (:

OH MY GOD!!!
Who the fuck has the nerve to walk up to SRV in the middle of a solo in Voodoo Child and shake his hand!! LOL I love that guy!! lmao
man, the moment he shakes hands with the fan. That is insane. I'm trying to learn that lick with two hands, and that is already pretty difficult.
@JimmieX He's the ghost of everyone of us who watches this and wishes we could.
I like how at 1;27 you think he's gunna do that hammer but instead he hits that open e like he's blowing a load in the crowds faces.
It's awesome, motivating and frustrating as a motherfucker to watch SRV play HAHAHA What a talented bastard he was DAMN!!!
i wish i was that guy who shook his hand lol
RIP stevie
2:26 Holy mother of god.
Pori Jazz Festival in FINLAND, not in Switzerland!!!
holy fucking shit
Oh my goodness, my bad. It'll be ok. What did you think of the video?
I was wondering why SRV moves his hand side to side when playing the fast chords from 6:50 to 7:00. Does that help him play faster?
I dunno man, I think I would be so amazed that I would forget to stop shaking his hand
he was in autopilot :P
@SRVblueshero1 tremolo picking

@strangeroussss this was at the peak of his drug use, you can see that on him and his playing.
@Mrmaniac15765
yes how the hell he did that? is not posible and he played with 13s!
correction, JMH!
Hey no problem man. Keep checkin my page I've got more to come.
I know that Stevie tuned his guitar down a 1/2 step. Does this mean Tommy Shannon had to tune his bass down a 1/2 step?
Who is the guys that shakes stevies hand @ 2:27 ?
Big Drugs
