    Charlie Parker is interviewed here by Marshall Stearns and
    John Maher. Bird's wife, Chan Parker is also present. The exact location is unknown, although the date can be fixed by Parker's reference to his mother's graduation from nursing school on
    April 20, 1950.
    The original recording is sped up by the tape speed. I slowed it down and added a little noise reduction to it.

    It may be slowed a tiny bit too much from original but never the less - what a treasure!

      but the pitch was lowered a bit!? so his voice would have actually been very slightly higher?

      I know right. He got such a bad wrap for that, but it was just like the people today who get hooked on pain pills and opiates after surgery and medical procedures unintentionally.
