Technically you can, but at certain point, you ALWAYS come to the conclusion that there is no point in tuning a diesel. Usually you realize it after you buy a petrol car... :D

I LOVE my Alfa 159 2.4 with 2.3 bars of boost. That thing flies and plays its 5 cylinder music like no other
@@theroadblog2858 except for 2.4 jtd, m57d30 and om606 there are no diesels that make sense to tune, even then there are a lot of engines from the same manufacturers better for high hp that those diesels
@@tmihaylov1337 Not technically. TDi was dominating in LEON TDI in wttc series, its just fact, that diesels are perfect for racing at TOP level...

147 has one of the best chassis in C-segment.

Yes actually really loose, A alfa romeo gt has a much better chassis to start with… Even when putting a front strutbrace on the 147 it can be felt inducing more understeer, so the chassis flexes alot in the front shocktowers.
147 is a piece of my heart.

Complimenti! 🇮🇹 I owned one of this few years ago. Great engine with a lot of torque (jtdm 120 8v) and a fantastic steering and front end. It's one of the few diesel cars wich is pleaseful to drive. With a serious suspension kit and some HP under the bonnet, it's really sharp. Their main problem is the reliability 🥲

How much bhp are you running roughly, I’ve just bought a GT cloverleaf q2 and looking to get around the same numbers as my old GT 3.2
Used as a daily so must be a reliable tuned and able to pass mot. Would 240 be a reasonable number without destroying the gearbox

This 147 is 100+hp from most of the others cars.if you can't see it then you have a problem guys.
Not true at all… there’s cars with even more power to weight than this 147. Watch the video again, and look at 2:35 you can clearly see it is the case.

The car has a lot of torque and tires to lay it down. It was no match since the beginning, you know that you are a bit out of contest when you pass the second like a breeze. I'm more surprise that the second was a an old gta...

I only add if manufacturers had continued developing tdi technology we all would have very cleaner engines but very much more efficient. First tdi shows triple torque than gas at same revs. It means less fuel need and less final consumption. But less consumption means less pollution. So easy. So little profitable to those few who rule the world. Then let'go electric and let's laugh about a earth overflowing of cobalt e lithium e acids. And let's have a lot of silly fun with kids infotainment!
well, actually, less consumption doesn't always mean less pollution. That is why modern petrol engines for example always run rich. They use more fuel but the combustion is cooler therefore less NOx produced. In the meantime you produce more unburnt carbon residues, but those can be easily neutralized in the catalytic converter.

Se per caso stai insinuando che che turbo benzina e turbo diesel a parità di potenza hanno la stessa coppia sei in grave errore. Oltre al fatto tutt'altro che indifferente che il turbo diesel esprime la coppia massima ad un regime decisamente inferiore rispetto al turbo benzina. Se poi ti riferisci ad altro sei pregato di spiegarti

@@riccardorostro7808 Ah ok, si errore mio. E l'abitubine. Sono un vaggaro. No, certo che non c'è particolare differenza di prestazioni tra jtd e tdi. Forse tdi iniettore-pompa spunta qualcosa in più di coppia rispetto a jtd common-rail. Difficile anche fare paragoni di quantità e tempi di gasolio iniettato per via del differente tipo di alimentazione. Comunque irrilevante. Importa invece che il turbodiesel è un gran motore. Turbo grosso. Iniettori grossi. E vola. Senza dover decomprimere. Ribadisco che l'auto del video è un aereo.

That's incredibly stupid driving. It's clearly an Alfa track day with enthusiasts rather than racing drivers on the road - thus it's pointless to brag about destroying the competition. Those people were there to show off their investments with racing heritage - what's the point of driving centimeters away from 50k € GTs and GTVs that may be people's lifetime savings? Everyone else is cautious and mindful, only the 147 driver is a maniac. Stupid, stupid, stupid...
Your assumptions are wrong. It is a competition. And in fact not a single participant complained about Jasper being too close with his car.
