Nah. You’d have complained if 343 made this. It is great though. If you play halo, infinite, and you’re saying that, then you just hate 343 no matter what they do. we had some pretty sweet cut scenes in that and we had really great cut scenes for halo two anniversary and for halo wars two and the chief was awesome in halo infinite.
I’ve watched this like 4 times now and cried every time 🥹 The potential that this shows for the missed opportunity of having a banished scarab in the Infinite campaign is insane 😭

Seeing this has given me a craving for some new gameplay mechanics. Gun executions like what we saw in that spiker scene and the ability to take out enemies up close with hand to hand finishers.

Amazing work, honestly the Chief vs Atriox fight should’ve been extended and looked more like Chief fighting those brutes. It’s extremely easy to tell when something is made with love and passion, like the Bungie games. 15/10 this is the Chief that we knew and was on top back in 2007. People like you keep this weary fan base together and I cannot thank you enough for that.

You know how some fans make "lore accurate" Master Chief videos where Chief does goofy over the top stuff and isn't actually lore accurate? This video for once, actually feels lore accurate.
It isn't better than 343 lol, this is a very cool animation don't get me wrong but it is still nowhere near as good as an infinite live action cutscene. Parts of it feel very robotic, but again it's very cool especially if (and I assume he is) doing it by himself.

This is just awesome. A chief that felt closer to the original than anything 343 has come up with. Locke and Chief played out like old men having a slap fight. This blows that out of the water!
I’d say 343 have made a great John that fits with his established book character, at least by Infinite, but their actual handling of him fighting has felt lacklustre. If we could get this style of animation but with the books/343’s character we’d be eating good.

But he remains stoic and a force for humanity to rally around. 343 went so hard into the "Chief has PTSD" mode and wanted to portray him as an aging and worn out soldier so they could introduce their Spartan 4s. Any impact they made with Cortana's death was negated by her just mysteriously reappearing in Halo 5 and then they kill her off in a cutscene in Halo Infinite. They lose track of their story telling and discard all the plot points that come in the preceding game. They also had a huge hard on for portraying just Halsey as a mad scientist monster who needs to be put down. 343 only cares about a game that will bring them money, so they chase the latest trends and forfeit what made Halo fun to play.
My jaw dropped at the details and animations. I hope someone hires you to make H3 Anniversary lol. The gore was great too!!!! I love the grittiness and the dirtiness!!! My favorite style of halo was always that Reach look. WHEN CHIEF PICKED UP THE BRUTE'S NECK YES YES YES!!! I love the show of his strength in that scene!!!

This is easily one of, if not the best Halo animation that has EVER existed, and SOMEONE in any of Microsoft's studios needs to recognize that this, is exactly what Halo fans want. I would go so far to say that they even compete and/or outrank Blur's animations. This is absolutely brilliant work and I cannot WAIT to see what else you create over the years. You are phenomenal!

The months of waiting on the fans part, your hard work, it's all culminated in this: a piece of fan-art bursting with passion. The music was wonderful, the audio, dialogue. The action had some unexpected but appreciated gore that's been missing for a while. This was a wonderful watch and something I'll see myself coming back to every once in a while. This nails the Halo feel. Infinite's vibes should've been closer to this and that is a massive compliment. Congrats on all your hard work. I hope this piece spreads like wildfire

The 2:20 of footage I’ve watched was quite possibly better than anything I’ve seen from a cutscene and action standpoint from the mainline games. Halo Wars 2 is still a beautiful gem for Halo imo and the resemblance to Halo Wars 2 was felt more through here than in infinite. This is what I wish we’d get more of in the Halo community and games. The TV show could’ve been like this honestly.
