    11:06 Just to add - I did criminology and one of my lecturers pointed out the statistic that most serial killers need to try around seven times to find a suitable victim, and said: "You see documentaries saying nobody knew Ted Bundy was creepy, but that's completely wrong. If you do a little research, you'll find a *ton* of accounts of people who had brushes with the guy who found him creepy - it's just that eventually, he found some women too polite to turn him down. Never be that level of polite." And it really stuck with me.
    So, yeah. That's my safety tip. If someone's giving you wrong or creepy vibes, don't be too polite to turn them down. Better to be an alive bitch than dead as a pinnacle of etiquette.

    If you’re not loading the dishes or washing them after using, set the knives off to the side and away from the sink and NOT in the sink itself. Dish water gets cloudy and sudsy and before you know it you’re reaching your hand blindly into the water you can’t see through!

      I also always have the handles pointing in one direction, so I am not searching blindly for them. I know exactly where they are in the water because I put them there - no different directions, no diagonals.

    As someone who has to use ladders, am shocked with how flimsy some of them seem. For taller things, its best to wait to have someone help you and either you can lift it down to them OR they can lift it up to you! They can also act as a counter weight if needed.

    13:00 Filter first, then boil. Filtering removes depres, humus, bigger parasites (like roundwarms) and other nastities, boiling doesnot.

    A dull knife is more dangerous than a sharp knife. Measure twice cut once. Don't try to mix toilet bowl cleaner and bleach to clean the toilet. That last one almost killed my girlfriend and her daughter on two separate occasions.

      @@chiapets2594very much true. Mixing several different pairs of cleaning/household products results in deadly chemicals and gases. I’m so surprised that a lot of people don’t know that, as I’ve also had multiple people I know do the same thing and almost kill themselves unknowingly

    The one about dull tools is especially true for chainsaws, which might just be the most dangerous saw out there. Not only could you cause bodily harm, but ive seen people blow up saws as a result of them being run dull.
    They should make chips, not dust.

    Safety tip when going to chop woods(chainsaw,saw whatever) and you happen to be in high mountains with no signal.
    1. Always go with company,never alone. They could assist you in any way.
    2. Always notify when you leave home where are you going, put a marker in someone's phone in they gps,just in case something goes wrong,you have more chances to be found in the spot you marked that the ''whole area'',makes the rescuers job more easy.
    3. Always check your machinery,sharpen your chainsaws,have them checked for any damage that can cause a kickback.
    4. Always carry ropes ,trees are tough to fall and might need a pull,don't go and keep cutting the ''triagle'' you could fail to hear the ''cracking noise of a falling tree''
    5. Since you go with company,Always yell ''timber'' when it falls,i have seen my fair share of errors and some fatal due to agnorance

    If a room smells fishy and no one has eaten fish. Your may have an electrical fire in your wall.
    If you feel uneasy like your house is haunted or you inexplicably feel an uneasy sense of dread when you go in. Get out and call the gas company these can be signs of monoxide poisoning.
    If you are very drunk, high or sick, sleep on your side or even if you feel like "just laying down for a minute" (when drunk, high or sick) lay on your side, that way if you throw up while unconscious it will spill out onto the floor. If you lay on your back and you throw up, you can basically drown in your own vomit.
    If an animal gives you the side eye (especially if they are tensed up) , that is usually them telling you to "F*** off!" and it is usually best to go ahead take that advice.

      To the animal one, if an animal is showing signs of alertness, then get in a defensive position. Nature is never quiet, only when predators are around. Always keep your dog on a leash in public, no matter the breed. All animals sense fear. During a dog attack, shove your arm down into it's throat, it snaps the dog into shock and retreating

    Bro Frfr downed power lines are sketch, esp the Hendrix insulated ones since they’ll be isolated enough to maybe not fault out if bridged by a branch or the lines are on the ground but enough potential will still exist around the conductor that it’ll be fatal for flesh beings

    Here's some.
    -Don't try to catch a falling knife. 99% of the time you will cut yourself
    -If you see a Oarfish (look it up) near the surface, get away from the water. They only come to the surface if something's wrong.
    -Don't try to get a Darwin Award.

    Here’s another one, if you’re in the United States at the beach, and you see a guy with a fanny pack stay away from him or her. The reason being is not just because of fashion choices. A person at a beach or jogging with a fanny pack, most likely has a concealed carry permit as the Fannypack is the most highly recommended area to store a concealed firearm if you cannot be placed in a traditional inside the waistband holster.

    • @allenjohnson4462
      @allenjohnson4462 ปีที่แล้ว

      Only straight fried brained fools will have a fanny pack with a pew pew inside. So I think your right on the money. Stay far far far away from fanny packin folk. Especially in Florida cuz they are not qualified to safely carry. Hand eye coordination wise and also common sense is beyond their capacity of understanding it let alone having and using it

    • @katsoro
      @katsoro ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Statistically, you're more likely to be killed/mugged/robbed by a police officer than a legal concealed carry permit holder in the US.

      If the person has actually gone what it takes to become a CCP holder, background checks and training, then they are the safest people you could want to be around. It's criminals that illegally carry that you have to worry about. It still pays to be aware of who is armed around you though. Another thing to look out for is for someone putting their hand on their hip or waist, especially after going up or down a hill or stairs, like they are trying to steady something. Might be a weapon.
