It's very ironic how the fashion industry operates. Shunned John for racist remarks .... while being silent on the racism that plagues the runway when it comes to modeling casting, even naming some designers who championed this as visionaries. Truth be told, I'm happy John got to come back and recovered from his problems, the fashion industry however won't be able to erase his contributions. Dior in my opinion is still suffering till this day, I mean look at their shows, who would want to wear that? John Galliano is a true visionary and the success and relevance of maison Margiela is proof to his talent.

Such a powerful point. "while being silent on the racism that plagues the runway when it comes to modeling casting" very well said. John Galliano has definitely had a huge impact at Margiella. Thanks for watching.

@BookstrawBusiness he does indeed. The recent Maison Margiella show in Fashion Week made headlines. The most important and the best show in modern fashion. Keep up the good work!

@@stellamccarthy1197 it was breath taking right? I want to start doing fashion week round ups and can’t wait to spotlight it.

@BookstrawBusiness oh I had tears in my eyes. It's the best show in modern fashion. People will talk about it the way they talk now about the 90s and early 2000s fashion shows. Critics are already in arms about how its not Margiella anymore (whatever that means) and other obnoxious wannabe critics are hyping up other shows where celebs were more important than the garments. Regardless, I'm so happy John got the chance to show his gifts again and Pat's make up artistry is out of this world. Such a duo! It would be so nice to see your takes on the fashion week, I'd look forward for the videos!

I'm so glad John and Pat paired up again. The show instantly bought me back to the Dior Spring 2004 couture show in terms of the impact. And you're right about the early 90s 2000s excitement and the days eagerly watching fashion tv for the runway shows. My Margiella artisinal show review is in the works!

At the time of the scandal, I was convinced John Galliano has been an ambush victim, and still I m sure of it. He reacted the way he did for shock value: his outrageously offending remarks were meant to wound only his responder, not to express his political view, which I m sure didn't support that horrendous historical figure, then, before the quarrel, or right now. So I m still wondering: what was the discussion with the video makers about? I mean: before what everybody could see on TV they were chatting about something. What was the topic? It must have been said something to direct that heavily drunk man to say what he said. That sentences couldn't have coming out nowhere! Besides. The female video maker was absolutely sober and in a giggling mood, probably she knew already she got what she aimed to: economic advantages, career upgrading, whatever. We never heard about her, or her filming friend: no interviews, no declarations, NOTHING! Isn't that suspicious?
The 2 of them destroyed the reputation of a man without concerns, responsibilities and accountabilities. How could have been possible? The reason was: they were after a major character assassination, they knew that because they have been hired for doing that. Still nobody call them out! It seem like there is no interest for them, to give an extra clarification about the story.
How I wish to knew more about the filmmakers and their aims...

Galliano is done for in headline fashion. He embarrassed both Anne Wintour and Bernard Arnault owner of powerhouse LVMH. Now he lives on the fringing of fashion trying to get hire by major mainstream label. good luck.
