He has an EXQUISITE taste for art. I've studied art for half of my life, and you can feel he knows the references, the styles and the taste in different times. The house is amazing.
He has a personal connection to everything there, which gives an impression of taste. But the pieces themselves wouldn't stand out if they weren't cherished. Real value is created in relationship and it makes me so happy to see someone delight in their own collection as much as Galliano does here 💓

I used to run a nightclub in London and John would come with his enoaurage with a rolled up check book to pay to get in - I would say put it away it was an honor to have them all - he was and still seems to be a beautiful kind and deep person. He had his problems and looks like he has worked hard to overcome them. He is a treasure and I love he is sharing his treasures with us and esp that he is still the sweet genius i knew 30 years ago!

He’s always had such a WAY….I remember that article in Vogue where they were interviewing Kate Moss for her wedding and she had said that she needed a “story”, that he would always whisper something in her ear before a show. He told her something along the lines of “ you have a secret, you are the last of the English roses”…..his creativity is unsurpassed and so uniquely his own…brilliance living!

An absolute genius. He made a mistake some time ago but he deserves every second chance. We need to cherish our great British designers... we have lost so many during the past few years. They give fashion the unmistakable edge that it needs.

About 10 years ago I bought the scented candle that John Galliano created for Diptyque. The scent is unbelievable, so creative, like nothing else, the smell of the gods, really ! :-) Somehow his house reminds me of that scent. We are so lucky to have this genius in the world.

I ran into Mr. Galliano once in London as we were both going into Harvey Nichols. He was so charming and so shy. I've never forgotten the encounter. (He probably has though 😂)

This was wonderful. I love how he describes his chosen objects and how they imbue him with inspiration, happiness and personal connection.
The first thing I was thinking about was the huge difference with Yves Saint Laurent Interiors, a sign of the changing times, but equally true laboratories for their creativity. Love them both!
The contrast between the yellow walls and the blue tiles was a novelty for me. Only Galliano could think about it.

What a fabulous place. My favourite is the artists model sitting in the garden with the lovely hat on. And the tiled walls in the Salon Jeune. Delightful.

6:45 The upholstery on those two chairs in Madame du Pigeon's Salon makes my heart beat a bit faster. I'm a gardener, I love all the botanical touches, & especially the way Galliano has dressed every room in lush greenery, abundant fresh blooms & luxurious bouquets. Moving thru these rooms is like strolling thru a particularly glorious & beloved garden.

John Galliano's Fashion Show in Fall / Winter 2007 is particularly unforgettable for me, a dark dream that I cannot quite put into words.
In Galliano's world you can be anything as a woman: sweet, dangerous, sad, cheeky, dreamy and dark, all at the same time.
It was a masterpiece!

This was absolutely my favorite decor and space Ive seen on this series! I “lost myself” as he says, in this story! All comes together so poetic, so authentic and so creative! Absolutely LOVED IT! And I watched a lot of these designer and other artists homes. Breathtaking
Best Vogue story ever,. Marvelous. I’ll never forget the Autumn/Winter 2010 haute couture show for Christian Dior. Literally, for me, the most magical collection ever. This house reminds me of it.
He has always been my favourite designer. My jaw dropping show was Spring 2007. Nothing has ever beaten it. It's pure perfection.

I love the yellows & blues in the salon that one associates with French country furnishings, decor. It is interesting to see the things that move, stir, inspire another person's creativity.

As someone who is a very kind person I can vouch for the black out drunken episodes he has deeply apologized for. I’ve been there and I thank God every day for the lovely friends I have who know me better & realized I needed help. Alcohol is poison. It’s not true what they say about being drunk making you more honest; under the duress of stress, exhaustion & pain and it makes you defensive and absurd. It makes you the devil’s advocate in ways you never thought possible. Glad to see you again Mr. Galliano. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Yes I worked in couture for over 40, never with John although I met him through out dogs when he lived in the Marais. Also working with LVMH I knew what they did to their designers to keep 'them going' through multiple collection a year and all the accessories and creating the shows and the press stuff and travelling. They has a special person who went around all their troup of designers and kept them 'supplied' and at what cost to them. For companies like LVMH, designers are throw away, they have no attachement to them other than what they can bring. I loved Alber who dies this year so sadly, he was a great designer also pushed aside, so much talent gone twice.
Well alcohol is not the problem, the person who can't handle it and still drinks is the problem. Alcohol affects everyone differently . One mans poison, another's Elixir of Life!

Never throw back at an alcoholic person what they said/ did when drunk. Alcohol removes their soul and replaces it with a demon. Alcohol doesn’t affect everyone this way.
I have this real nice military style jacket designed by Galliano, I purchased in Dubai in 96. I still wear it now and whenever I have worn it people absolutely drop their jaws.
I love designers houses. Most of their houses are packed with personal treasures they collected over the years. There's so much character and magic in their houses.
John is such a wonderful artist and designer. We are so lucky to have him.

I was actually think about John Galliano yesterday, for no reason. I was remembering one of his fashion shows that left a big impact on me, and I just took a moment to appreciate the memory of what a moment that was for me to see that show... And then a day later (today) this video pops up in my que. The universe really did give us John because we needed to be wowed.
