You can tell the experience of Vincenzo in that he plays slower and more deliberately emphasising melodic phrases over raw speed.
It might be something one does when one has little to prove to anyone, whereas Matteo is out to prove a point, being still a young man. Very enjoyable musically and humanly speaking.

vincenzo was francesco de gregoris guitarplayer (real superstar in italy but also very successful in switzerland, spain, france)… (among many others artists)… his guitarwork with him was exceptional… (especially on the amazing live record „il bandito e il campione“ of 1993)

Very nice to see. The closest thing I have with my father is our love of movies and Tv. Sci-fi and Horror the most but Fantasy and Action/Suspense/Thriller are up there too.

What are the guitars that they are using? I noticed that in both this and another video that Matteo did with this guitar, he sounded a bit sharp from time to time. Were they having intonation issues?

Of course Matteo is very talented with unbelievable technique but his father has the tone, feel and relaxation that fits much better to this standard (All The Things You Are).
The problem with this younger generation is that it all has to be fast. I do not hear a story…. starting slower with longer notes, repeating phrases with some nice rhythmic variation and then building things up with some faster lines.
Anyway, still an incredible player who can do stuff most of us only can dream off….
Whish they had tuned their guitars a bit better though….

Who can name that mode for me please.
Not just one. There are several different key centers this song goes through.
On another note, just playing the modes of the key centers is not the way to sound like these guys. Study “playing changes”. Tons to discuss there, but essentially they are mainly strategically targeting notes of the chords as they pass by. This takes a lot of practice and patience! If you’re really interested in this style of playing, I recommend getting into a bit of jazz. I happen to teach this as well, but any good teacher will do!

They fail more than a cane shotgun.Too much noise and no substance, the only interesting thing about this video is the Mancuso's attempt to beat the world speed record. If Mateo decided for once to play slowly, we would see that his musicality is very little. Disguise a mediocre talent with speed is the temptation of mediocre players who try to look like what they are not.
Same old story, same old envy comment. You totally ignore MM's works. You totally ignore that world greats of guitar admire him, and said he's guitar future. Your opinion is a little bit less important, excuse me, that Al Di Meola, Steve Vai, Joe Bonamassa and many other greats opinion. I saw him play live, and I can assure you that he played speed and SLOW, but ever with soul.
Please listen to his album and his videos. He plays EVERY genre of music with TONS of taste, heart, soul, great knowledge, musical culture and sensitivity. He work hard, you cant judge him by these NAMM performances. Before to speak about a real artist, WITHOUT Any HIM KNOWLEDGE , please inform yourself better.

Listen to this. He's a mediocre guitarist? If you continue to say this, you demonstrate to know and understand ANYTHING in music. MM is generally recognized as one of the best and most interesting guitarists in the world today. His right hand technique is UNIQUE IN THE WORLD. But he's not only technique. Taste, knowledge, musical culture. Touch, sensitivity. Excellence in EVERY musical genre. You're wrong. Social network are only instruments. They arent "the devil", as you said. They can have a important utility for new artists knowledge. MM is absolutely NOT a YT guitarist. He plays live with his bands, write music, make International tours, his first album
was out 6 months ago. I'm 61, my friend, and as a musician and music passionate since over 45 years, I never seen a guitarist like him. He certainly will grow and improve as a composer, no doubt. But as a musician he's extremely mature. I repeat, look at his videos, listen to his music. Im sure you will change your opinion immediately.
