It’s not so much bored as exhausted. He’s their manager and has been at every show making sure things go right - like that strange drum kit that the booth has for the band’s that played there so they didn’t have to lug full kits there. Check my post with the Carl Verheyen Band that played with the same kit. Both drummers showed it’s the player, not the drums that make the difference.
He is Gianluca Pellerito, check him out on YT, incredible musician as the bass player (Riccardo Oliva). No need to rate Matteo. It’s lovely to spot in the crowd Matteo’s dad, Vincenzo, a pro player himself (I remember admiring his solos for an Italian famous songwriter in the 90s), and also Marco Fanton, another brilliant player with a good channel here on YT.
@@sandrogaeta7690I’m familiar with Marco from the Fractal Forum. Great player. There’s another Italian guitarist who plays with his fingers who’s also great. He’s older and I’ve seen him play with Matteo on TH-cam but I can’t remember his name.

Matteo has the most interesting ideas with arpeggios I’ve seen since Al DiMeola. No doubt the extreme flurry of legato is impressive but his musical sensibility is truly stunning
Sublime for sure but what's better is the joy that both his accompanying musicians seem to experience when they play with him and the audience experiences as well.

Nice job by all. Not an expert but I felt some George Benson. Jealous of matte finish wood grain guitar...that's what I want when I go back to electric someday.
what kind of tuning is he playing here ? I was just sitting down to transcribe some lines when I noticed that apparently his "a" string is tuned to "e" his "d" to "a" and so on - or am I missing something?
It’s a Bacci baritone guitar scaled as a regular 6 string. Carl Verheyen played one the day before and was joking that his C chord was two frets from where he’d usually play it
It worries me that MaMan displays fatigue at 4:49. It's not the 1st time I've seen this occur with him. While fans typically regard his fatigue as "giving his all for the song" (and he certainly has a lot to give), I've seen this too many times with pro players that have to push their playing way over the top due to their work schedule or in this case absolute sick ability and HUGE work schedule. MaMan is more like an industrial athlete who may end up suffering horribly. I hope he has someone who he listens to regarding his physical health or he may be destined to reduce his playing quite a bit due to permanent pain. Just sayin'
Ouch! That's not good. Hopefully just dehydration and stupid convention gig workload. Seemed he really felt something sharp. Yes if he's having issues he should to someone. David Fiuczynski talks a bit about someone who helped him a lot.

The looks on the faces of the guitarist’s watching him. Contemplating taking up jazz bagpipes.
