Everyone there such excellent workers. The whole operation is like a well oiled machine. The way they unhook a full bag, hook on a new bag then put the full bag on the pallet and Molly seems like she has been using them pallets jacks for a long time. Awesome operation. Yummy lookin corn.
U guys have a fantastic group of workers it's hard to find good help these days but u guys work like a well oiled machine it's a pleasure to watch all of u work keep those videos coming i started sharing up here in N Maine potato contry😅
Man, you guys are busy! It's hard to believe the corn and potatoes are already ready this season! The fairs are right around the corner 😃Hope you guys have a fun weekend and get a break! 🍁
Amazing how hard you work. Good setup. Yes, as you said.. having the right people hired is the thing that makes the difference. Although getting more and more difficult to find people for this kind of job. Thanx for sharing your everyday work. Keep up the good work/ Mattias from Sweden! ❤
Molly, from my experience leading US Soldiers in combat, you are one of the ladies I called my Valkyrie, Beautiful, highly intelligent, no quit, hard working and brave. You take on things you have never experienced before and excel. This Old soldier holds our friendship very dear.
My wife and I had to go to Lewiston Saturday morning for an errand. On our way back, we stopped at your farm store and purchased sweet corn, cucumbers, potatoes and green beans. We ate the sweet corn tonight. It was delicious! Looking forward to eating the rest of our purchase. Thanks for all your hard work.
This goes out to ALL the BELL FARMING CREW. You KICK ASS! Some people may not see these videos. But they are THANKFUL that they can feed their Family's with Your Hard Work. Thank you I was putting on my Boots getting ready to go to Market Basket to get a bag of Molly, Then she crawled back in the Truck Bed. Maybe next time. Again, Thank you
Corn glorious corn(sweetcorn that is), I can taste it already(too bad taste-o-vision doesn't exist). Great operation here, my hat off to you M & S(Molly and Shane). Great video as well
I grew up near Zellwood, Florida and remember going to the Corn Festival as a child. That's all gone now and there's only one major farm operation left in our area (Long and Scott), but those memories will stay with me forever.
From a dirt farmer from years past, class act, growing up 45 years ago, our farm supplied Carr Bros. And Hannafords. Delivery was done with a 1959 International. Feel your pain. You and your husband hopefully are an inspiration.
Absolutely loved the end Molly. Thank you so much for doing these videos. I know it’s a stretch for you especially this time when you guys are so busy. The videos are coming out great, thank you again Molly. Praying for you and Shane.
I feel when there’s an opportunity for schools or even work places to share these videos like this that truly show the work that’s put in to feed America. Thanks for the hard work and keep on educating the people on the other end of the table 👍
Exactly, instead of all the woke indoctrination crap pushed on our kids in schools and universities by woke teachers/professors and race activists with their agenda.
We also stopped in Tuesday and were lucky enough to meet Molly! I think, go, go, go describes her best! However she stopped to chat and shake hands with me. Very appreciated, loved this video, and better yet really loved the sweet corn! Best I have had, well since buying some from Bell Farms last year! Thanks again to you, Shane and all your employees/coworkers for you and their hard work, and to you Molly for showcasing this hard, very important work that farmers do!!
The cucumbers are just right in my opinion, very small seeds, crisp and full of flavor. And the sweet corn is excellent. The potatoes we bought went into my wife’s delicious potato salad. So good. Great video, Molly.
Good video. A safety related suggestion. The hard working red hair young lady in the video might want to have her long hair tied back working around machinery. Thanks for taking the time to share these videos of your farming operation.
Your crew worked hard and that's a testament to seeing their employers jumping in and helping them especially being short handed. That's what good leaders do. It's a moral boost for sure. Watching you and Shane do that made me respect you even more for what you both do and want to support you by buying your produce from your store. Keep up the great work!!
Awesome video. I was waiting to see corn packing. I'm glad I got a chance to see it. This past week we were at old orchard Beach. We went over to Biddeford Maine to market basket to get some things we walked in the door and there was a big bin of corn. And there was a sign that said fresh corn from bells farm in auburn Maine. So of course I got 2 dozen ears. I want to tell you never have tried bell farm corn you have to try it. It was absolutely delicious and sweet. Well we were there a couple more times for more corn.❤
By picking them up to bag them, the ears get a better grade. You can tell if they are too light, too soft, or something doesn’t feel right. And I’ve always figured if your going to pick up the ear, might as well put it down in the packing container
Love the “corn flash”! At first I didn’t understand what he was doing, long days at work myself… I rewound the video and was not disappointed! Sweet corn, sweet video! Always an interesting watch! Stay safe, mad love & respect from the West Coast!
Interesting, Western Canada here, and i live in a small city surrounded by vegetable growing farmland so it is easy to find fresh vegetables. Well, until the snow flies and it gets Minus 30 to 40 sometimes. Prime strawberry growing area too so every summer delicious strawberries that put the store-bought variety to shame.
Once again, industrial farming produces huge amounts of produce for us to eat; but needs lots of woman & manpower to get it all done. Well organized hard work with great planning.
I am probably the only person that was interested in your label process. I see you went with a TSC thermal transfer printer. I work for a company in central Michigan that sells and services a variety of those. Thanks for the great video once again!
Hahah I was wondering if anyone would notice the labels. I think we got this out of Texas. Been working good. I don’t love the software that I have to use though. A bit complicated for what I need.
I watched your harvesting video yesterday and today I picked up some local white potatoes and sweet corn for supper. It was good but I got there late and the corn that was left didn't look as plump as your corn does. Happy Happy hard working folks at Bells Farms
Howdy from way up in Aroostook County. We too are getting ready for harvest up here. Broccoli is winding down up here and Spuds will be going here in Mid to late September. Never knew we had corn farmers here in Maine until I watched the channel.
Possibly find someone to make you a couple of very large lazy Susan’s to put your pallets on and you won’t have to boot scoot around the loaded pallet., my opinion of course.great video and great job 👏
Another great video Molly. It’s interesting looking at your production line from the UK. You seem a little more relaxed in terms of PPE requirements for staff. The UK supermarkets have a load of very stringent requirements on their suppliers. Everyone on that picking line would have had hair nets, white coats & regulation caps. Yes, just for simple stuff like vegetables. The UK supermarkets are also obsessed with everything being on little plastic trays & heat sealed. So you can buy 2 sweetcorn kernels on a sealed tray ( imagine the waste). The end result is that suppliers have a lot of waste (as much as 30% on some products) all because the item couldn’t fit on a stupid plastic tray. In addition the stuff that doesn’t meet their spec can’t be sold for human consumption anywhere else, so it ends up as animal feed or fuel for AD plants. It’s utter madness. 😩
Your videos are still bringing back my childhood memories of working at the old Burfield Farm in Ohio.. We told the kids to put 62 ears per bag because some of the kids couldn't count that well. I was running the pixall picker with a 8600 ford roasting an ear on the exhaust manifold of the tractor. It would be roasted perfectly timed with a wagon load. LOL Also we bagged off the flat bed wagons in the field. Your employees are spoiled.... You guys are lightyears ahead of what we did back in the day.
'Really appreciate your multitasking abilities, I can't help but have great respect for you and all farmers who provide the heretofore ample food supplies we , as a nation, have enjoyed. Thanks and best wishes...I "liked" this video. 'Need more.
