omfg i'm totally joining northumbria for the same course as an international student next year.....still wondering, what's the difference between Film and TV production AND Film and TV studies as different courses...
I think Film and TV Studies is theoretical course. Film and TV Production has a lot of practice and projects in it. Like you get to use film equipment like cameras, sound equipment, editing suites and other gear
omg, i just discover your channel on this time. Your life is definitely my dream life 😃. I also planned to go to the same uni as you, on the same course as you 😇
Magnificent video bro!!! By the way I’m too planning to join the very uni as a undergrad student in electrical and electronics engineering. Could you please tell me how is the uni overall and the environment for engineering? Thanks in advance!!!
Hi, thanks so much! I think it's a great uni and, in fact, I've done a video about Engineering faculty for Northumbria. You can find it here th-cam.com/video/LOQ2tLP7Jwg/w-d-xo.html
Hi, I am planning to join the same uni as a 4th-year student in biomedical science student. Could you please tell me about the living expenses there at Newcastle upon Tyne? Btw your video is super refreshing and gave me the confidence to come there and study. Thank you.
Hey, thanks! It's really nice to hear it. Newcastle is one of the most affordable cities in terms of rent prices in England. The living expenses i.e. food, groceries and essentials are like everywhere else I guess. Slightly cheaper than London maybe. Good luck with your studies and thanks for checking out my channel :)
If you wanna work in film just join an agency there’s loads work on set in locations or as a runner, talk to the departments you’re interested network that way and get jobs. My film degree didn’t help me one bit to get work it’s laughed at in the industry tbh I wish someone had just said to me email an agency and I had travelled for 3 years instead ha
Thanks for the advice! Even though education is not the main factor being hired in the Film and TV Industry, it's still a benefit and won't hurt you. The stats tell us that the majority of the industry employees have a higher education degree. For someone coming outside of the UK from a small country education in this sphere is a starting point and might be essential if you don't have connections or rich parents. I believe it's quite complicated to get a job in the industry in the UK if you don't even live here.
DanTea completely agree that was my thinking at 18 with no ideas really about how to break in, my advice is take any job even if it’s unrelated to what you want to do because it’s just all about getting in then you can find the camera people or sound or grips ect. I came in through locations and studio and 2 years I’m still doing it because I enjoy it didn’t even know the departments existed. A lot of my friends have gone to find work in other departments through networking on set, calltime is a good agency one to look up you can even do just weekend work while you study.
Your positivity is so refreshing! Hope your project turns out well. I am looking at northumbria for my masters studies in design, would you recommend this uni?
"What dis" guy here... Good to have a starring role!

Can’t wait to start this September 😍😍 to start Year 1

It's not often I find the exact video I'm looking for... I'm lucky this time.

Its an amazing University! Really friendly and great lecturers! And Newcastle is so much fun.
How much does the course focus on post production and producing (budgeting, money and the business side of film) ?
This video is very helpful for me to see around the Newcastle. Do you still study there?
Hi supapish, I've actually just graduated! I'm glad it helped you out. It's a great university :)
would you say that film and tv production is worth it so far? I'm thinking about going here but I'm really unsure about it
