    Thanks bro for posting. Definitely taking your advice on tightening the Phillips bolts. I have a feeling that might be it. Is there a certain torque spec that you know of for them. I can look them up but thought I would ask.

      things like valve covers I never used a torque spec just an even tightness and following the typical tightening pattern was always more important to me! thanks again for commenting!

    Don't mix up the o2 sensors plugs. Just a suggestion, I speak from experience. 😊

    Did you have to use rtv with the gasket cover? Additionally, did you clean it with a wire brush?

    • @BlackoutBilll21
      @BlackoutBilll21  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Kyle Umbarger no sealant and a brush would be fine although I didn’t use one

    YUP ,That is like bad eyesight when you get to your 40s.. All frontiers and xterras get that exact crack. leaks , burns as it hits the manifold , oil under the vehicle and if you ignore it it continuously leaks on the starter and one day "Click Click" your Nissan doesn't start. Now you have a started replacement and a valve cover seal to replace. So as all mechanics preach to me .. I relay their wisdom. do your maintenance and fix it when it breaks before it breaks something bigger. Good video, just wish you would have shown the gasket install and the normal mistakes of the install. The clip thing a was a good warning though. i appreciate that.

      THANK YOU for that wonderful comment! your input was on point !! Sorry about not showing the install! A lot of times when Im filming I just want to get the job done and neglect my viewers! I'm definitely working on that! Thanks again! great stuff

      @@BlackoutBilll21 Hey also i did my gasket and you were dead on about the screw tightness. Good catch !! My screws had very little. I could unscrew the cover screws holding two fingers on the screwdriver! i guess that's what will happen to original equipment after 335,000 miles ha ha !

    So no one is addressing the driver-side valve cover, you're probably the one to replace brake pads per side as well, even tho they come as a kit

    • @BlackoutBilll21
      @BlackoutBilll21  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      a rough but accurate assessment.. and No i change both sides of my brakes lol But hey thanks for helping the algorythm! and watching!! Have a great day

    I'll be attempting this soon on my 03 X. Oil leaking onto my starter has giving me trouble with it turning over. not smooth at all. Did your wife have any starter issues or was this before too much oil accumulated below? Thanks for the video!

    • @BlackoutBilll21
      @BlackoutBilll21  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BlackoutBilll21 It doesn't look like you reapplied any sort of sealant when you threw the new gaskets in... The leak stopped completely? I am about to start working on this in about an hour

      you can use pliers to push down or try a flat head screw driver

    If your having a misfire, buy a new set of spark plug lines. I found a break in one of mine that was grounding out.

      Wendy Medlin Great question! I actually have no idea. Didn’t even know the Xterra’s came in a supercharged version. I would assume with the exception of a couple brackets it should be pretty close. good luck
