Yeah true...personally I would get the M2 comp because I get good discounts at my local bmw dealership and I reckon as a manual rwd small fast coupe it is pretty much the more exhilerating of the two, but if you have heavy snowfall or have to deal with bad weather for a larger part of the year the rs3 seems to be the more reasonable choice.

Both are amazing cars but working in motorsport as I do I'd go for the Audi, the most effective. 0-100 4.1sec, Quattro, you can corner fast trusting the car, not tensed and with an back that looks better to me

The only reason I would pick the rs3 over the m2 is the awd and ability to accommodate passengers. I went from a 2015 STI to a 2016 F80 M3 with a 6 speed manual and the only thing I miss about my STI is having awd, being able to have instant and claw gripping traction on wet roads, snowy roads and gravel is orgasmic especially when you floor it, you never lose traction. Going to RWD I gotta be very cautious and feather the pedal on those types of road conditions and when I'm driving so gingerly in those conditions I always see STIs flying past me having a hell of a time. That's the only thing I miss about my sti and having an awd performance car.
@@rskundert good luck putting that power to the ground with only two wheels. Already struggles a bit with the stock power. The Rs3 will put 500WHP into the ground everywhere, all the time.

The new RS3 haldex is actually heavily reworked and cant be compared to the normal haldex. Yes, its still Haldex but it can send alot more power to the rear, enough that you dont notice any real slip under WOT even in the wet. The reverese staggered setup is mostly to force more oversteer when you track/push it. That in combination with the lighter, reworked 2.5 TFSI unit makes it feel _ALOT_ less understeered compared to previous generations. Its actually pretty well balanced.
I used to feel that way. Until I sold all 5 of my Audis and grabbed 2 Bmw's. Far better build quality all around. Bmw also knows how to balance a chassis and build a solid naturally aspirated motor where as Audi struggles with 4cy, 5cyl, 6cyl and 8cyl without boost. Audi is a fancy Volkswagen. After building and owning them for 10+ years I walked away.
I mean m2 better of course 405 horse power haves the same engine as the m3 and m4 it’s a coupe definitely a daily driver but the Audi rs3 is for a family but I’ll definitely cop the m2 competition.
Too much of a handful on bumpy, wet UK roads, just like the M4. Great if you have your own race track and an endless supply of tyres. Not keen on the ball bag at the back, the oversize steering wheel and dated interior - a manual handbrake? Really. But hey, I've driven a couple and they're fantastic cars, but I'd take the current RS3 or TT RS every day of the week over an M2C or I'd spend a few quid more an get a 718 Cayman GTS, which is what I drive. It’s not a plus, it’s just cool that Audi engineers were allowed to do something usually found in high powered FWD cars, which allows more front end grip and a more playful tail for rotation and fun.
MotorPress.ca that’s interesting indeed. I’ve never heard of it before (but have always been a rwd fanboy and have always run BMW’s until now) I thought the fastest fwd cars used a square set up
Good video and review and agree with all your points on both vehicles. Now here in the states they are the same price so that being said, which would you choose if that was the case when you made this video?
My thoughts, Audi AWD and dual clutch, BMW 2 door and manual. Both have their benefits. I chose the Audi as I prefer the service I get on my previous Audis. I sold my RS5 for the RS3.
a tough one. I really love the sound of the RS3, but I think the proportions on that car are goofy. I also am not a fan of transverse engines. The M2 is a real driver's car, which I usually prefer, but I just feel it's too impractical without being enough of a sports car.
I love the booster seat in the back seat of the M2, now I know I’m not crazy for wanting to get a coupe with a 5 year old son. I’m getting the M2 next my boy’s gonna love it.
I love both of these cars. I just think the rs3 is more practical as a daily . Plus awd would be better for the winter. But seems the M2 are more affordable on the used market than the RS3s.
Regular late model M2's are more affordable then a Rs3 due to it being non competition, older and less hp than a Rs3 but the BMW M2 competition that's an altogether new car with more hp than an Rs3, just released a year ago is more expensive than an Audi Rs3 new or used.
I mean can you go wrong with either? I’m going to trade in my 330i and upgrade to an m2 once I graduate, but I certainly wouldn’t complain about an RS3! I’d have either in a manual, but that’s really personal preference.
Looking to buy a m2 comp pack. Is it suitable if i wana take it out everyday on the streets of Bangalore. Also wanted to know if the m2 has good ground clearance for it use it here. Your reply will b helpful to me!
Man, I love the M2, but the RS3's exhaust sounds so much better. The M2's just sounds too coarse. Overall, RS3 for me since I'm more interested in a daily driver than a track car
I’m torn between the two. Bmw has the fun manual and RWD. I have a daily beater so I wouldn’t need the practicality of 4 doors and awd for winter. But the sound of the rs3 is amazing and it would be the only car I have (get rid of beater). Hard to decide between the two. But I would also need to be not broke to decide.
I was looking for a Canadian channel with Canadian pricing and metric calc! Finally stumbled upon this channel, great video guys. Although I drive Mercedes C43, I love M2 and RS3
RS3 can be made 40% faster with less than 4k in mods. M2 has limited room for power growth unless you’re willing to shell out some serious coin. That’s what sells the RS3 for me, also the AWD is killer from a dig, just puts the power down so much better. Interior is worlds better in the RS3 as well, can’t argue that one.
S55 is quite reliable as long as you change your oil and filtrers on time. Don't miss maintance and it is highly unlikely to give you trouble. Issues with rs3 usually are connected to tuning a lot of tuned rs3 blow engine in a very spectacular way. You either need a very good tuner who knows this car shit very well or don't tune it at all.
As they say there are no losers here... One has to ask themselves how much "track" time are you really going to spend in your chosen car and if 4 doors or two door are more practical for you. Is having AWD important to you or being able to slide the car across the track. To me, it's more of a personal choice than a performance choice and that's why I would select the RS3.
jon uriarte I mean, you can get an RS3 for less than $60,000...there's literally not another car in that price range that comes even close to the RS3's performance.
Nearly got an m2, bought an rs3. People who talk shit on either of these cars are just fanboys, both are awesome machines it’s just that simple

My thoughts, Audi AWD and dual clutch, BMW 2 door and manual. Both have their benefits. I chose the Audi as I prefer the service I get on my previous Audis. I sold my RS5 for the RS3.
Audi Rs3, better motor and sound,! The cockpit of the M2 looks like from 2003. The quality is much better from Audi. I drove both. I bought the Audi
a tough one. I really love the sound of the RS3, but I think the proportions on that car are goofy. I also am not a fan of transverse engines. The M2 is a real driver's car, which I usually prefer, but I just feel it's too impractical without being enough of a sports car.
Summed it up perfectly. Street car or Track car.
Good video. But... did you use launch control with the m2c when you tested the 0-100?
Yes of course. It was really cold outside and damp, so there was NO Traction whatsoever.
I love the booster seat in the back seat of the M2, now I know I’m not crazy for wanting to get a coupe with a 5 year old son. I’m getting the M2 next my boy’s gonna love it.
Having kids doesn’t mean life is over :)
MotorPress.ca truer words have never been spoken.
Nice reviews! Hellas!
ΟΛΕ!
Man! I would give an arm and a leg, to own both of those beauty's🥰👍
Good luck driving the M2c with 1 leg 1 arm 😂
Lol
What if you could choose 1 ?
😁
M2 for action. Rs3 exhaust sound and on rolling race m2 is faster then rs3 . I'll go m2
Subscribed. U guys are great 😂👌
Thanks buddy!
Ride height is no problem and can be used as a daily. Fuel consumption is a bit high.
M2 or RS3?
M2
Was this filmed in Oakville?
Some parts are in Pickering and some at Mosport.
Isn't the rs3 front wheel drive untill it starts loosing traction. Then the rear kicks in.
Pretty much, yes.
Stock vs stock might be a little different but guys are running 9s and 10s in the RS3 with fairly basic mods
Definitely a RS3 for me, its such a nice car and the sound never gets old Plus it is much more practical for everyday use .
Is it real Quattro though or Haldex
Haldex
Thanks and welcome!
M2 is another level
M2 competition is much better
Between myself and sister have own 3 Audi and they are garage queens. If you like grocery shopping and mall driving in style then get the Audi.
Guys you show 0-100 as 4.2 sec for the M2 not the verbally stated 5.2 sec. Which is it?
We said that we did 5.2 but the roads were slippery that day due to snow ❄️. So the real number it can do is 4.2.
Is s55 engine reliable?? And what issue with rs3?
Was this filmed in Vaughan, ON ??
Pickering, ON
Do you own that m2c? We have a GTA m2/m2c group you can join.
I like your channel guys but the sound quality needs some work.
I love bmw but I'd have to go with the rs3. I like the older 2018/19 rs3 look over the newer 22/23 look
Rs3 is my choice. Iroz tune it and no m2 will ever keep up.
Audi RS models have a wide body.
Drag race please
We wanted to do it, but the freezing temps were not helping the M2 launch, so the RS3 would simply destroy it.
M2 all the way 🙌
What wheels on Audi? Aftermarket?
Yeah it was on some winter package
Whyvis your hand on the shifter its not manual
Bad habits are hard to get rid of.
the proble with audi are their prices we are crazy are very high but both cars are pure beasts in their qualities
jon uriarte I mean, you can get an RS3 for less than $60,000...there's literally not another car in that price range that comes even close to the RS3's performance.
What rims are on the Rs3?
ΜΠΡΑΒΟ ΡΕ ΜΑΓΚΕΣ ΠΟΛΥ ΚΑΛΟ VIDEO - FROM ATHENS IN GREECE
🇬🇷 Γεια σου Πατρίδα! Ευχαριστούμε πολύ!
Not sure how you guys got the m2c 0-60 in 5.1 when I have a 228 4cyl twinpowered turbo and my 0-60 is 5.2
We said multiple times that it was freezing cold and the M2C was spinning way too much off the line.
I dont think they knew how to activate launch control. Trust the m2c eith Lc is very quick.
