I loved the fact Noel really got into this and was always emotional when anyone ever won the £250,000.00
Yeah definately Noel was perfect for that show. He lived and breathed it and was clearly emotionally invested in all the contestants and their life stories. He was fantastic doing this show. I like Stephen Mulhern but cannot imagine him being as Noel was. He's happy clappy where as Noel changed the mood of the whole room from jovial to deadly serious with each box.
Edmonds
well it didn’t happen very often did it
Like him or not, can't deny Noel is a really decent person. He was perfect for the show, couldn't think of anyone better
It's just not the same without Noel. He was totally invested in the people and their life stories. And he cried when they won big.
He cries to think about that 250k loss of his
@@dannyharris1322 nuh uh
@@dannyharris1322it’s not his money 🤣🤣🤣
Noel was Deal Or No Deal
@@anicetunehe still is because I have so many great memories watching him on Deal or No Deal and now it's the stupid magician from the Butlins advert messing it up I mean there's not even a quarter of a million pound jackpot anymore it's only 100,000
I think Suzanne's has got to be my favourite, keeping so much of the power 5 in the game and getting to the dream finish of 100k and 250k aswell as swapping her box to win it and the icing on the cake of doing it on the bankers birthday, absolutely glorious
It brings tears to my eyes whenever a contestant wins the £250,000!
Same here. 🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹🥹
Noel is a lovely man.
They spoilt this season by reducing it to 100k! 10 years on... they should have at least stuck with 250k
Or maybe increase it to 500k
Even keeping it at 250,000 would be much less than it was worth in 2006. The new prize is pathetic.
@@FiregloThe fact the money wouldn't even be worth the same now anyway and yet they still reduced the top prize! Insane!
@@stevedavidson5038 £250,000 in 2006 is the equivalent of £446,086 today according to the inflation calculator.
@@Fireglo Exactly. So it make way more sense to have the top prize increased to £500k to adjust for inflation. Instead, they did the opposite and went down to £100k. Such a dumb thing to do!
To add some context to Alice's game, she had already dealt on a bankers offer earlier. She was given an opportunity to cancel it for the 1p/250,000 gamble.
That is a crazy play!
What is peoples problem with the gamble? She could of had 1p fgs🤦♀️🤩
Unless you are desperate for £17k then it was a no brainer. She walked in there with nothing.
So Alice's game isn't really a true win. They added a gimmick to add drama to it. The way I see it once you've dealt you've dealt.
@@Fireglo yea but the banker offered and its his game.
@@samstrainthings7540 i'm aware they're allowed to add a gimmick whenever they want but I am perfectly right to not call it a legitimate win.
Crazy to think when these won the £250,000 you could buy an average house with money left over in the bank in England.... now in 2023 wouldn't be enough to even buy you an average house, unless moved to Scotland or took a mortgage out on top.
It's not gonna get any better bud ill probably be in my 40s when I buy my first house it's sad out
And now the new top prize is less than half of that at 100k!
I remember that first £250,000 it was i believe aired early Jan 2007, i was 9 & invested in this episode whilst my mum's neighbour was round chatting away. I was shocked when someone had finally won the £250000 which at the time felt like it was impossible.
It aired January 7, 2007
No one does this show like Noel.
Good to relive some emotional telly moments! Gutted they reduced the jackpot for 2023, would be so much more excited if they kept the 250 grand, but hey-Ho, cant wait to (hopefully) see another big winner this year!
Man this is not a criticism but how do you comment so quick
bro hasnt even relived the moments yet
@@jackuw🤣
@@reubenDONDbecause uhhhh y e s
Probably because of inflation Kate, maybe itv can’t afford to put 250,000 options on now
It's a shame seeing so much negativity about the reboot. Noel was great but Stephen has been really good himself. im loving it.
The reboot is good but as always
Nothing beats the original
Never realised the first two winners actually have a slight resemblance!
Same county in Wales and looked identical!
@@amc5966 Correct, and they are related. It turns out they both could channel all of the voodoo and spiritual hocus-pocus from Shaman Noel and literally move the 250K into their own box. Remarkable.
That's right. They were both from the town of Monmouth in Wales.
This is why the new DOND will "Never" replace the original version. Noel was, is, a great people person. And the show was far better than the new version. With "Swap the Box" and the 23 box,
where the contestant could take a gamble on their winnings, and double, or even add £10,000
to their winnings, but on the down side could lose the lot. Some who went away with relatively
small amounts, and left with the biggest and lowest numbers, were sometimes given the
"Bankers Gamble" where they could forfiet their winnings, in the "Hope" that they would gain
the "Top Prize" And some did.
Laura became the first female contestant to win £250,000 in 2007
And paddy became the first male contestant to win £250,000 in 2013
My favourite deal or no deal game show loved watching it when noel Edmunds did the show good video upload cheers 😀
This was the best game show of all time! No other game show could ever capture the drama, tension and emotion that this show delivered. It wasn't just a game show, it was something more. Even though it's back now, it's not the same.
I can’t believe Paddy won 10 years ago
I was hoping the Jackpot for the new season would be £1,000,000!
No it’s £100,000
@@toby-leemorrish2926 I know that.
As if! 1m in wildest dreams!
the banker is just a bitch, wants all the money to himself
@@samstrainthings7540 YA BARRED!
Hey Reuben. Your vids are amazing! I have a suggestion for you. Maybe you could do one video for each special of dond with all the types e.g. a video for love specials and you could include 2009-2014 and for the others. Maybe like the best of love it bankers birthday etc? Idk lmk what you think, hope u see this and btw your vids are great and unique! Keep it up! 😏👏
Today is The Day Deal or No Deal Returns To TV This Time On ITV
I'm calling it; if Stephen ever holds a charity celebrity edition... Noel needs to come back
WHOOOOO CAN'T WAIT FOR DOND UK TO RETURN
The fact that somebody won the £250k on the last ever episode feels a bit set up. 9 winners in 3000 episodes and the final ever contestant on the big live send off before the show finishes for good, they have the £250k box. Hmm.
Actually the last episode was someone winning the 1p but they chose to switch it to make it feel better
Yeah the tour ones wasn't in the right order u can tell they aren't live
@@IrishKeshiHead Oh right so I was correct that it seemed too convenient.
They filmed the last two weeks, then shown them in the order they wanted.
@@saintjimmy456 “Seemed too convenient” is right in some aspect. But not because the “final ever show” was particularly “staged”, it’s more because they switched the order as comparing the two shows, it was better to go out on 250k, than to go out on 1p
And to think nearly 13 years later, where you would think the big money would be half a million, its actually gone down to just £100,000.....pathetic..!!
When the show came back, I thought it would be either 500k or possibly 1 million. But 100k is quite small for a rare game show. Especially started in 2004. They made something new and destroyed the old version of it. It's pathetic!
@@ChrisChase17 Totally agree 👍
Today's the day Deal or No Deal returns to TV this time on ITV and ITVX
Souzane really got trolled with that trip to Florida 😂
The jackpot needs increasing imo to 500,000

*AUDIENCE: 😱😄👏*
I bet the Banker would be crying seeing this.
I’m dreaming of the day someone wins £100,000 on the new deal or no deal and seeing how Stephen Mulhern reacts
I've always noticed this and I want to know more - how do they all know they've won when they can't see the value that's revealed directly in front of them? Especially with Paddy, his reaction was virtually instant
There's a flash and a bang from the confetti cannons. That only ever happens when the £250k is won.
Also, I believe the screen that normally shows the board and which amounts are still in play shows the box opening on it when they get to that part of the game. I noticed a few times that all the contestants in the wings seem to be looking at the board rather than at Noel opening the box, and it would make some sense so that the pilgrims could see what was happening as well.
2:20 Noel Edmunds doing his Boy George impression.
7:23 she’s the oldest contestant ever to win £250,000
Ready for tonight on ITV1?
Tegan’s gets me every time bro
I really liked this program and Noel because it was genuine happiness and not manufactured for TV raitings..
*Edit Spelt Noel's name wrong.
i wanted the new top prize to be £500,000 not just £100,000, how stingy is itv
£250,000 winner 1st ❤
The banker should of screamed "NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO"!
Where are they all now
3:11 - WANTED : Laura for Robbery, Reward : £250,000
All great, but Nong fucking over the top with the pre-open histronics.
Paddy Might Have Been OverHyped After Being The First Male £250,000 Winner!
Where was that last one done? That wasnt the normal studio

Why does Richard Branson always look like it’s coming from his pocket when they pan the camera onto him 😅
My fav THREE are: Laura. The first. Ann. Well yea 23 lol. Thank you Banker! Third is vicky. I mean the last episode omg.
Mine are
1. Alice (2nd) because it was 1p vs £250k
2. Paddy (6th) because he was the first male quarter millionaire
3. Nong (5th) because aww bless her ❤
@@cookiew3228 also good, all good
My top three is Laura Paddy and Nong
7:02 What a shame he didn’t deal to box twenty three. Not only would he have won half a million quid, it woulda made history as well because it woulda been le biggest purchase for box twenty three.
The first Jackpot winner was Welsh. Would be great if the first winner of the reboot was also Welsh
It would be creepy
In fact, the second winner was also Welsh. Not just that, they were both from the same town too.
Lauren and alice are both welsh?!
@@cookiew3228 yes
i wonder who will be the 1st £100,000 winner in the 2023 reboot?
I think Jamie
Edmonds.
22 to 1 thousands of shows but only ? handful of winners! Seems strange but again is back on! Banker does well on the show, but if lost 250000 too often and sure they wouldn't have fake show!
This is just the people who won the maximum prize at the time. The odds are massively against the player. I think the best attitude is to remember that you will always walk out with more money than you walked in with and, hopefully, you enjoyed the experience.
You don't have a clue how the rules of this game work, do you? 😂
If I was the banker at Ann game I would take her deal for box 23 and I go ha ha ha because I would let her lose £250,000
Not 2011 that was a choice haha
Suzanne was thr first legit 250k win the two before were almost handed it with a lowball offer and a bankers gamble on a fairly modest stake for it after already dealing. Think my fave was tegen paddy or roop.
No question of it though Alice’s win had the most suspense. Handing back £17.5k potentially win 1p. I remember first watching it I’d never felt tension like it
I think luck is a bit sexist
Well it is called Lady Luck
