This guy never ceases to fascinate me. His humor, skill as a musician and as a lyricist have few if any equals. Imagine calling the weeks between chemo sessions good times. Just to ice the cake, the folks at KEXP really know how to present music. The mix and production work are spectacular. A huge thank you to Chuck, the band and everyone at KEXP.
Saw Chuck an his band last December in a little club in Germany. It was awesome. This KEXP production is a true gem. Thanks so much for this.
Whoever has mixed this session is a legend. Great band, great performance and great production!
Songwriter extraordinaire, Telecaster magician, tells it like it is, with STYLE and humor. THANKS KEXP for this video!!!
I heard Wake The Dead and an interview with Chuck on NPR recently so I was stoked to see this video from KEXP.
This band is tight, with all the pieces working like a week oiled machine. Great rhythm, singing, and fantastic percussion. No one is trying to outdo each other. What an amazing performance.
The new album is AMAZING. Definitely, Chuck Prophet is one of the greats
Saw Chuck and his tight playing band in Bitterzoet in Amsterdam. Yeah, he can wake the dead! Chuck was my number 1 in my Wrapped.
Fantastic! Great songs and performance.
Encore un magnifique groupe hyper psyché ! KEXP vous êtes vraiment incroyable ! Quel éclectisme dans vos choix de groupe !
So VERY good!
If you liked this, check out Calexico and Giant Sand, out of Arizona, and Dead Combo from Portugal! Orkesta Mendoza, too!
And Club Makumba!
Thank you for the recommendations!

O man, he’s got it. And that drum sound!
LOVED THIS! I cannot believe I’ve never heard this cat. I am now a fan and will be doing a deep dive into his work.
Green on Red.
Pretty much every record is great. I’ve been a fan since Green On Red days.
All of his stuff is great. Have fun with it.
Merci
Encore une belle découverte 👍.
Je vous sui de France depuis pas mal de temps et toujours un grand plaisir à vous écouter.
These guys are so good. Thanks for the broadcast. Very tight playing. Singer has a near Bruce Cockburn sound.
Thank again KEXP!
Wow! Glad I clicked on this!
Green on Red is some of the best road music I've ever heard. Chuck P branches out with a great new band. Just excellent.
Magical. Love it.
Спасибо KEXP за свежую, хорошую, живую музыку ! :)
Caught this a couple of weeks ago in a small venue in Belgium and I'm still buzzing as it was such a great gig. Chuck and the guys are such a tight band and it's great material.
So did I (at Leffinge)
@@juljetfransen9258 I was there.

The KEXP Mexican decampment they mention is amazing. Los Mirlos and the punk Mexican folk music is amazing.
HOLY HELL how have I never heard this before?! It's the best bar band ever.
great sound
I enjoyed that, good vibe! Checked for a concert nearby, but unfortunately just missed one..
Excellent! Nice to see him with the Cumbia band Qiensave.
another fantastic band discovered (by me at least) thanks to kexp! I love this!
A W E S O M E !
MORTAL!!!
Chuck! SF’s own. Great gig, terrific band, fantastic album.
Like Benjamin Orr, Ray Davies, and that whole Wall of voodoo. Love it.!
Nice one Chuck. First heard of you when you covered Waylon Jennings' Dreaming My Dreams album.
very nice Tex /mex reggae, and his singing it is like the brother off Tom Petty, Like to see them Live and greetings from The netherlands Amsterdam, The ganja city,
Chucks song lyrics reminds me of serious comedy subjects😊
Breath of fresh air. There’s good music being made out there. We just have to actively go look for it as opposed to it being played on mainstream rock radio. Little Steven’s Underground Garage (SiriusXM) plays Chuck routinely.
about time bands started facing their drummers for eye contact
Come to Tasmania
Necromancer 😮😊
I like "Water into Wine". I think it's very Ray Davies like.
